***OFFICIAL*** FFA MLB Draft (1 Viewer)

Who's the acting commish today?
Still me, with Nipsey and Cappy gone.
Spock sim-fished his park. I say we boot him. ;)
Spock did a great job of building his team around his park. I think that would be evident in an accurate sim as well, although I think he might have more trouble on the road. Either way, I think Spocks team, especially for his home park, is very solid and not at all a fish nor aberation. If I learn that Spock has played wis before and realized how much a park has an effect (especially if you have a non defensive park, unless you have Paul Quantrill in the pen, watch out) then I retract the above statement. :P
Repent for the Lebron fiasco.
Your repentence is accepted. I can understand how that poll which was fairly even (I think Chuck won by a few votes) finally swayed your opinion to the point where you might not agree with the pick, but it was far from a terrible pick or one that would ruin anything.

Especially since during the draft you stated you thought the pick was too early, but did not at all express the disdain since Nipsey brainwashed you in this thread.
I was just trying to keep the thread alive. That's why I tried to rationalize the pick. I was immediately disgusted. You spit on the history of the game. It happened.
UCONN - Lebron will be able to keep any thread with you or Nipsey in it, alive. :P History passed you by... history is being made. In the shape of a 25 point scoring, 8 assist dishing, 7 rebound grabbing, 2.5 steal taking monster who is already one of the unique forces the NBA has ever seen.Thankfully the FFA supported my case. I would have been happy for 30% of the vote.. then at least 1/3 people would have taken the Bronster. Almost 50%?

Vindication baby. Vindi-mother####ing-cation.

ok lunch time.
RIBS?

I've never played WIS before. If I had, I would have known guys with a lot of saves aren't much better than relievers without saves and good WHIP and ERA. I was one of the first after Nipsey to start drafting closers. I would have avoided guys like Kent Tekulve, Rob Peranoski, and John Franco. They stink in this thing. Trevor Hoffman and Terry Forster haven't been great either. I drafted Andy Messersmith to be my fifth stater, but he has been one of my better relievers.

LOL at Koya taking the boot spock thing seriously. It keeps getting easier.Spock on a tear. As soon as you picked Gwynn I started really looking at your team and figured it would do well. How do you beat teams that got great HR hitters early? Take away the hr and draft guys that can produce runs. It was a great strategy and I'd be happy to see it paying off in any division but ours.

um, I was joking about playing before... you have a good team built around your park very well. that was my point.

Many people would not pick Chuck just because they don't like him. You know that to be the case. You got smoked in the more accurate/representative poll (and a lot of people seemed to think you suck).

I picked a guy who averaged 30 and 11 about 25 picks later. Lead the league in scoring and assists. You don't think he takes some offense to seeing a guy who hasn't even played in the play-offs getting picked that high?
ok uconn. yes, i suck. for a guy that once posted about posters with "class" you show a fine example.

man, people sure no how to dish the fishing, and sarcasm and all here, but have a hard time recognizing it. at this point, I really never know is someone is serious, or really that sensitive.

I dont know how UCONN could ignore me. Guy seems like a stalker at this point. LOL. I mean, one pick in a draft really can not explain the depths of his pursuit.

Is there any point to the ignore lists other than to taunt the guy by pointing out you're ignoring him?You can always just choose not to read posts by people who annoy you.

No and that's the beauty of it.

Just a convenience thing. Makes it easier to read the page w/out having to skim past "dragons are real, Jesus is lord, Lebron is great, UCONN is my daddy" posts.

It's about time Cap Anson hit is first homerun of the year. Bottom of the ninth grand slam to win by one.... :rotflmao:

At least someone's getting clutch hitting.

Next week I have a 6 game road trip against Koya and UCONN. That oughta bring the division back to even. In the mean time I've got 5 game against two of the crappy teams, so hopefully I can extend the lead a little before then.

Looking forward to trying to beat you at home. Brings the homerun atlest back into play and my team has a little more pop than yours. I've got some tough games between now and then. We're already over a quarter of the way into this. Does anybody know if the All-Star break includes an all-star game?

Small moral victory ... getting a win over the first-place Cryogenics Rules. After this series, I have eight straight against the new & improved filler teams. I am open to the possibility that I might lose 2 or 3 of those games.

Yes, now that I've gone back and read through the couple pages I missed this afternoon, I see I've already been mocked for this monumental colapse.Again   :hot:
