He really gets hurt by the anti modern bias. For one, he is not one of his generations BEST players... even if HoF material (even if lower tier HoF or gray area a bit). Secondly, he started and played half his career before the stats just went stupid, '95 on.... poor Ryne Sandberg had his entire prime before that outburst, which certainly hurts his cause, fair or not (and its not)
