After much waiting, here's my pick. The requirements for my pick are as follows:
1. Needs to be a SS
2. Needs to be a Lefty or Switch-hitter
3. Needs to be a slick defender
4. Needs to hit for decent average
5. Needs to steal some bases for me
Thankfully, I found that guy:
SS Omar Vizquel- bio
9 time Gold Glover, averages 24 SB's per 162, has hit .275/.341/.358 for career, has a career .983 FP, is a switch hitter. I say he qualifies at this point. He could platoon with Reese against tough righties.

I must say, I'm feeling pretty sheepish to learn third-hand that you're also Mr. Ham. What a disappointment. It's on par with finding out that Santa is ####### my mom.

And incidentally, Zmed, I am also sad to admit that my father has a FRAMED and autographed picture of William Shatner (in black & white) in his T.J. Hooker uniform. The pic is on display in his study no less.It's matted and has an authentic patch from the police uniform used in the show displayed beneath it in the same frame.
