All of you guys, since seeing my team in the sim: 
My WIS account was created in 2001. I don't think I've played it once in the last two years. I'm sure you can check in my account details.Anyone who examined the sim, or who has read about metrics, should know that OBP, OPS, ERA, and WHIP are the important stats to look at if you want to put together a good team. Thus, I drafted based on those stats. This has nothing to do with simfishing, and everything to do with statfishing. That, I did. I didn't draft based on players' rep, or their name, or their legend, or anything else. I drafted entirely based on OBP, OPS, ERA, and WHIP. Everyone had the chance to do the same.For those of you who think that drafting based on stats isn't putting together the best all-time team, I respectfully disagree as a matter of theory. I think that stats=the team, and I think the success of modern baseball experts like Beane and Epstein have proven that. Aside from the sim, I think if you could resurrect all my guys and all of yours, and we went down to the stadium and watched them play, mine would beat yours. And that has nothing to do with the sim. I believe in stats. You don't have to.Four other things:1. Deadball pitchers: You bet I picked them. They had great stats. Maybe that explains also why Walter Johnson, Cy Young, and Christy Mathewson were picked in the first round by people who are not me. My only objection was to pre-1900 pitchers.2. Sim-fishing: I picked Les Lancaster for his third year, specifically. Guilty as charged.3. I don't have any expectation of winning this league. Simply too many good teams and too much chance involved. I do expect to have a good record, though, in spite of Barry Bonds being programmed to be useless.4. Whoever's team looked the strongest once people began to sim was going to be accused of simfishing. I'm just glad it's mine.Feel free to resume your regularly scheduled

Other than this response, I wont rehash the issue. To be , as I once called Nipsey, stubbornly insolent in a hack around online draft is pathetic. Technically, they have the right to be stubborn and insolent. Even if in doing so, they make the entire exercise less fun for everyone.But once again, you want to be stubborn at the expense of everyone's fun - in a draft that was for above anything else, just fun - well, be my guest. (ok, nough on that subject)

I doubt anyone can top it. If Koya can't ruin a league, by picking a guy like LeBron, he'll whine until the sun comes up. I mean look at his club. If you had that on your team and didn't have a bail-out pick like LeBron, you'd be trying anything you could as well.And on top of that, the guy didn't even sign up on WIS with his footballguys user name. It's really sad how some guys are so embarrassed of their drafts, they need to resort to confusing people with an "alternate" name. Way to go Koya....even without the mockery of a pick that was LeBron, you still managed to #### things up somehow and make the league just that much less joyful for the rest of us.

I wish I was kidding this time. I know in the past I've posted some things that are a bit tongue-in-cheek, but this is not one of them. I actually long for the days of the NBA draft and LeBrongate. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: I really can't get enough of nipsey v koya shtick. As for harrier's team, it looks solid now, but I'm betting the sim changes things up, on all accounts. This exhibition games are a ton of fun, but let's face it..I can't pitch RJ everyday, the Train can't go everyday, things are going to be different when looked at in light of a 162-game season.Will harrier win? Maybe. But I've seen plenty of impressive teams so far, and I won't be giving an inch to him. We'll have to see. I'm ready to roll. 
I'll get a dummy team in tonight, and we can roll.We already have two bad dummy teams right? One decent one will be created, and then we'll need to make two more.
