Actually, I'd much prefer a higher level of competition. Just amazed at how lopsided some of these games can be. Ott went 5-5 with 4 HR, 3 BB and 13 RBI. That's just wrong.

I would've never made the Colome team so bad except for the fact Cap made it clear he didn't want the dummy teams to affect the standings. The scewed stats are unfortunate but they'll be scewed for all of us. I did do a double take on Ott's stat line though.

Yeah, geez. I can't believe I flew off the handle like that. I'm sorry. It's just been a bad night, that's all. I just got an audit notice from the IRS--at work, no less--and then on the way home this punk kid on a skateboard swerved out in front of me, and I dinged him. He didn't look to go down that hard, and he had a helmet on, so there's no way I was sticking around to hear him spin that story to the police. But then I get home, and my wife wants to know what the dent was, and I lied first, told her I hit a tree pulling out of the parking lot, and she's like "Oh, that must have been a pretty big tree, and how exactly was it not round, and not straight up and down?" So then when I finally told her, she went nuts, and started crying for the next four hours about how she's sure they'll find me and we're never going to see one another again. And then my daughter keeps coming out of her room, crying and upset because her mother is crying, but she wants to know why I won't let her go out tonight with her idiot boyfriend, this smarmy little pothead she likes. Anyway, I'm probably about halfway through a bottle of Jim Beam now, and that's the doorbell--if it's her boyfriend I'll likely beat his face in.But sorry about the overreaction. I guess upping the strength of those teams is fine.

(of course, I got beat 15-1 in one of my games, so maybe I shouldn't talk... )

The point is, that hte dummy teams will win a few games (one has already won a game), solely 'cuz the sim won't let teams loose every game, it seems like it is programmed ot even things out (aka - if you have 9 guys who hit .400 in the seasons you picked, they aren't all gonna hit .400, although they will be high up there in the league leaders charts...), so no matter how good/bad we make them, they're gonna win a few games, and there will be a few blowouts...
