This is true. A team with a lot of over-achieving players should be #1. Now if your team can bat .240 and still go 8-3 against some of the best in the division by getting the right hit, the right steal, the right groundball, and the right sacrifice fly to win the game by 1, then that's just a good team.

You drafted a middle reliever who had a strange, one year, statistical advantage on some of the closers drafted, that's all you did. He is, I checked.One thing I noticed, though, is that he's using Smoltz from 2002 which is actually his 12th best salary year but 3rd best RP salary year. It's probably his single best year, though, considering he had a 1.12 ERA and 0.87 WHIP. The IP column definitely skews some years' salaries higher than they should be.Lucked out there.

I never said he WAS better, I said statiscally, he looks better...I know Fingers and Eck had different roles...but name 50 relievers who have 4 or more years at 180+ adjusted ERA, because that is why I picked Quantrill, because he isn't gonna allow a lot of runs...

Larry, I'm not in this league or anything so I don't know how the sim stuff works, but Quantrill's career WHIP is 1.41. That's pretty awful. The reason his ERA isn't worse is because he's usually had strong closers pitching behind him to clean up his messes. You can't really argue that this guy is any good.
