Giant Wooden Badger
the Beav
Jeebus, you guys are still here?
You're STILL doing it. You admitted that you still have no remorse for your mistake right here:I didn't deny that I shouldn't have had him (that's fine if that was the rules)... what I said is that it wasn't cheating 'cuz it wasn't actually stated... everyone understanding or not, it was never actually said that we MUST use the third best RP season... so I used the third best season...I can't speak for him, but I don't think it's about beating you. I think it's about showing you that your cheating was resulting in wins, and now that Paul Quantrill can't post a 0.00 ERA in this sim your team is not nearly as good as it was with the cheating stats. I just checked Quantrill's ERA and now it's up to 4.13. Just late last week I rocked him for 3 earned runs without him recording an out and that I know for a fact that rose his ERA from 2.30 to 3.00 because I checked and did that math. So he's obviously continued to get rocked hard even after that to raise it another 1.13 after my tagging him for an additional 0.70. Wasn't his ERA at the All-Star break close to 0.00? I know around the time when it was revealed that he was using the wrong stats he hadn't been scored upon yet. I remember at that time he had just over 20 innings pitched, and he pitched quite a few more before his correct stats were initiated. He's got 48 innings pitched now. Assuming he had 24 innings pitched at a near 0.00 ERA, his last 24 innings would have to be near 8.00 ERA to result in his current 4.13 ERA. I'd concur that your last 10 games record of 3-7 is a result of that.I really don't care if you win this thing. What bites my ### is the fact that you continuously denied that you were cheating, and then even after agreeing to replace his stats with the proper ones you preached that it really didn't make that much of a difference that he had the wrong stats. What horse crap that is. Quantrill has 5 losses now. FIVE! How many loses does a guy with a 0.00 ERA accumulate? Unless he gives up unearned runs, none. And given you were leading the league in fewest errors at the time QuantrillGate broke out (again I checked as I was wondering how in the world you were always winning) I doubt he had given unearned runs and accrued loses. If any, just one, maybe two at the most. He's been doing a lot of losing recently. Your team is not the same without Quantrill's cheating stats, and you refuse to acknowledge that, let alone apologize for it. You apologized for not changing it when Capella said to change it, but you acknowledge even a couple weeks later that your not sorry for the effect he had on the standings because in your mind he had very little influence on the standings. But that is simply not the case. I don't care if you win or lose Larry. I just want you to wake up and smell the crap you deal out. Again I can't speak for harrier, but I'm pretty sure that's his motivation too. Win or lose you are still the WPE due to your constant denial and tenacity to never admit when your wrong.I'm just so glad that by losing a few games I can make your life more complete Harrier...it kinda makes me feel good about myself that something I did can make someone else feel so good about themself...Who's got the best record in the league, Larry? By how many games?
Man, that must chap your hide.
no matter how pathetic I think you are for wanting to beat me so bad in this... I mean... really... is this really that important?? (no)... but yet you are almost obsessive about beating me...
Your lack of remorse is blatenly clear in that post.for using the wrong years? Not really... it was an honest mistake... I didn't realize we HAD to use the third best reliever year, I thought we had a choice...and Bonilla was equivalent to a typo...You still don't feel remorse for you actions?
Do I feel remorse for not doing what Cappy asked me to do before I protested his decision? Yeah, I do feel remorse for that...
We're not stuck on you mistakenly using the wrong season. We're stuck on the fact that you have absolutely no remorse for the results of your mistake. I don't care if it's an honest mistake or a dishonest mistake, it boggles my mind that you show no remorse for a mistake that clearly had an effect on the standings. The fact that you and him are STILL so stuck on this shows how pathetic your lives really are...

I tried watching it, but had to change the channel after they started eating platinum.Did anybody see the dragon show?
yep. i was saying this earlier. it's quite shocking. Larry is definately in the running for WPE. or was it W.H.E. I don't remember. Either way it's still true. You're STILL doing it. I DID admit I was wrong...I said picking the year I did was a mistake... I also got past it... but some people are just OBSESSED with this...Everyone's wrong sometimes. Just have the sack to admit it LB. No one will think any less of you (as if that were possible).
Larry, I lead a life that you will probably never be able to comprehend.Best of luck with the computers, kids.I DID admit I was wrong...I said picking the year I did was a mistake... in 50 years Harrier is gonna be telling his great grandkids how he beat me in the first-ever FFA What If Sports Baseball Draft like it was the greatest moment in his life...
heck, it seems like this is the greatest moment in his life...
Once again, we're not obsessed with the mistake. We just can't believe the lack of remorse for the mistake. You made a mistake, yet the only thing you can say you're sorry about is challenging Capella's ruling for you to change it. Why can't you be sorry for the mistake? So when you repent of your sins, are you really sorry, or is it "I feel bad 'cuz I made a mistake... but... yet... not really... ya know?"Besides, we all know that Harrier will STILL be this worried about being better than me in this no matter what is said otherwise...

I am glad to see we have all moved on.
So, now its Cheatin Jesus vs. Simfisher Extrodinaire, eh?
If the Series turns out to be between these two I will wish for a player strike.but they ahven't affected the standings...yes, Harrier has cought up to me...You're STILL doing it. You're tanacity to not be sorry about how your actions effected the standings makes the Energizer Bunny look lazy.darn, I just... feel so horrible...
aside: has cappy ever won a game off me?Recently there was a senior citizen who made an honest mistake and confused his gas pedal with the break pedal while in the parking lot at a farmer's market. It was an honest mistake and therefore he shouldn't feel remorse about the results of his mistake, right? He honestly mistook the gas pedal for the break pedal, just like you honestly took Quantrill's 3rd overall season instead of his 3rd season as a reliver. He didn't intentionally mean to drive through the farmer's market and kill a dozen people. You didn't intentionally pick that season to give you more wins during the season. If it's an honest mistake, there's no reason for remorsing the results of the mistake, right?but they ahven't affected the standings...yes, Harrier has cought up to me...You're STILL doing it. You're tanacity to not be sorry about how your actions effected the standings makes the Energizer Bunny look lazy.darn, I just... feel so horrible...
but, its not like I'm extra games up in my division now than I was then... I mean, they aren't catching up...
and still, I don't see why I should be so heartbroken over what was an honest mistake...
turn the tables... would you really feel all that bad about this?
Fact is Quantrill DID have a results on the standings. There is no way with his current stats being used that he pitches as dominating as he did with the wrong stats. With his old stats, he never gave up a run in over 20 innings. With his new stats he is giving up nearly a run an inning. Did you ever have a 3-7 run with Quantrill's wrong stats? Did Quantrill ever lose 2 games in a row for you with his old stats? Did he ever lose a game at all?You are the one who is concluding that honest mistakes can go without remorse. But that obviously is not a universal truth as the senior citizen situation proves. It's not a comparison of the situations. It's an application of your logic to both situations to show that your logic is not universal. If the senior citizen cares about human life then he will show remorse. If he doesn't care about human life, he won't. It has nothing to do with whether or not it was an honest mistake. If you care about the other owners in this sim, then you will show remorse. If you don't care about the other owners then you won't. Don't pass off some bogus logic that because it was an honest mistake we are crazy for expecting you to show remorse. Just admit that you don't give a rats ### about anyone else in this sim other than yourself, and as such you don't care if your mistake affected the standings or not.:rotflmao:
you have got to be kidding...
you are comparing an old guy killing (hitting) someone with thier car to me picking the wrong player in this MEANINGLESS sim??
But I'm the one that is seeing this wrong...
Spock.. go outside, get a job if you don't have one... just realize that THERE ARE SO MANY MORE IMPORTANT THINGS THAN THIS THAT IT ISN'T EVEN FUNNY!!!
It doesn't matter that much... to even compare this to someone hitting the gas rather than the brake is a JOKE and shows that you have absolutely not ability to reason or think rationally in this thread...
why? Because you think that because an old man should feel bad he KILLED someone I should feel bad because the rule was NEVER clearly stated?that's a fair and even comparison...You are the one who is concluding that honest mistakes can go without remorse. Bogart, with all due respect, I did a recent all time baseball draft for fun (16 teams) and Quantril went at 7.04I believe that this would have all died down by now if it wasn't someone like Paul Quantrill. A guy that wouldn't make anyone's all-decade team has very little right even being drafted in an All-Time Draft, less right even playing, and absolutely NO right dominating like he was. The fact that he was just makes the whole situation stick out like a turd in a punch bowl.

No. You should feel bad because your mistake affected the league. It's only you that keeps harping on the "never clearly stated". We get it! We understand! It was an honest mistake! We're all on the same page in that context. Now get out of that context and admit that you won more games than you should have and apologize for that.why? if we're going down that road, half of mrharrier's pitching staff has no business being in an all time draft.

looking SOLELY at his stats, I think he was a decent pick...I didn't sim-fish, I just looked for guys who had 3+ seasons of VERY high ERA+, and Quantrill was one of them...I believe that this would have all died down by now if it wasn't someone like Paul Quantrill. I did... and you said it wasn't good enough like a 3 year old...why should I do it again? You said you were sorry for contesting Capella's decision. You never said you were sorry for how it affected the standings. In fact you said: "I don't think my start or my record really has anything to do with Quantrill... "I did... and you said it wasn't good enough like a 3 year old...why should I do it again? you just want to complain and say I am wrong, as usual... no biggie, I'm used to it, and if I did apologize you'd just move on to something else, so why do it even if it is just to appease you?
