*** OFFICIAL *** FFA WAGERING THREAD - Merry Christmas!!! (11 Viewers)

I sleep better at night and harbor less anxiety during the day knowing that there's going to be a baseball game to cap. All the numbers and angles, and even the pace of the game, which a lot of people complain about, appeals to me. A man can get a lot of thinking done during a baseball game - thinking about baseball!

I can't like this post enough. Not a lot of people understand this good buddy.

Kind of lean to BOS/BAL over, but my big fat gut is telling me I may be reading it wrong. Wind blowing out, DrewPom was terible at Fenway last year, BoSox have hit Bundy pretty good, but he may be taking a step forward.........I'll pass, but lean O9.5 or F5 O5

Not too long ago I walked into a woman's bedroom, I'd never been to her house before. Her bedroom was all blacked out - totally dark like a dungeon on the second floor of her hpuse in the middle of the day, but not in a bad way, as she still had a nice king-sized bedspread and a state-of-the-art computer w plasma screen. And everything was still "girly" in its own way as you'd expect - but in the middle of the room was a huge, wooden, seven-foot-tall "X" that reached all the way to the ceiling, with harnessing anchors at all four tips of the X.

Last name wasn't Bolton by any chance?

I don't think so. We weren't on a last name basis. And I didn't get tied up or anything. But walking into that room felt like crossing over into another dimension, like a innocent virgin.

They're supposed to have the roof closed at Rogers Centre, and it's Happ starting. His starts have hit the under more than any Jays starter the last couple seasons. That's probably why the total went down. He's like 67% to the under there. I'm still on the over though. I think Brew might actually win.

That ML in SF is even better now. I think that the Samardjiza v Ray Part II: The Revenge favors the Giants a lot. Same matchup as last Thursday.

It looks like the line movement on SF occurred right around 2:50 PM Pacific Time - about five minutes after the Giants tweeted that Posey would be placed on the 7-day DL.

I don't see any numbers that put Robbie Ray together with Chris Iannetta, either. Both these pitcher/catcher combinations are brand new.

Watched every pitch of that one. It's not something they keep track of, but the F5 innings of that game must have set a MLB record for balls hit off the outfield wall - by both teams. Once I started counting I saw six, and in total I'd wager that over ten balls peppered the outfield wall during those seven runs the F5. Nuts how the scoring turned off after that. Everything was a strike after five innings. <_<

Tailed

Pretty sure I'm 0-12 lifetime on boxing bets
Boxing markets can be kind of wonky. The big fights will be up for months, but anything below that and all of the secondary markets (e.g. method of victory) go up in the week prior, which is when a lot of the money comes in. In this case there was clearly some smart sentiment on Indongo -- possibly just taking a shot since Burns is completely washed -- and US markets are slow to catch up.

The Mayweather/McGregor fight is going to be very interesting from a betting perspective. McGregor's only real shot is for Mayweather to hurt himself somehow in the ring, but I'm expecting a lot of the money to be on CM. It will be interesting to see how much the books will hedge their liability and drop their price on Mayweather. I mean just in terms of value, -1000 is good.

nothing big, but I played these yesterday

NYR +125
CBJ +163
MIN -145
EDM -135
OTT +170
TOR +330
NSH +173
CGY +158
Wow, like a lot of the dogs eh? I played Caps to win Cup at +400. Debated Sharks as well but already had $ on Ducks from a while back. I like the Rangers there. Jackets are good value at that number. NASH is probably as well but I'm not going to bet against my Hawks. Yet. GL.

Just took what looked like value to me.

CBJ down to +140 now

MIN up to -170 now

NSH down to +155 now

I was excited about a situation I remembered from last year: Phils' last home game of the series at night. Since 2014 the last game of the Phillies' home series has gone 41-30-6 O/U (19-2-1 O/U night). But after last night in Toronto I figured I better check the umpire. During that same time since 2014 home plate umpire Hunter Wendelstedt is 7-19-2 O/U on getaway day. There are only two umps who've done more than five games in that situation that have been worse for the over. It's like that time I was hired to review an adult movie. Interested, interested, interested, VERY INTERESTED, not so interested.

So the K's linemaker had a day off today and will be back in the office tomorrow, right?
I'm hearing second hand that they're very unhappy about the one-sided action.  It's such a small market but everyone sharing plays and everyone on the same side.  Some books are still offering them, but certain sites are discussing what to do and it may be a couple weeks before a decision is made.

So I had a $300 ticket on the Rangers last night and I feel asleep with them being up 5-0 in the 6th - 7th inning.

I wake up to see they lost in extra innings 5-6?!?! Damnit, I didn't even get a chance to lock in a profit.

Stupid sleep. ####### with my gambling money. ?

The worst part is, I really wanted Rangers F5 innings... but my limit on that line was only $200 so I went full game where I have no limits.

Now I gotta find something to tilt bet for $600 to get my money back and some.

Somebody who knows something about the NBA edumacate me. The Magic and Sixers both are going to want to lose tonight, correct?
Is there a play here somewhere? ML parlay on the dogs?

Wouldn't be my first lean, I like betting on teams with something to play for. I can't think of a game all year that everyone involved would be less interested in. Gonna be a lot of people resting.

As soon as the game is over, vacation starts. This time last year Kobe put up 60.

100% makes sense.
