*** OFFICIAL *** FFA WAGERING THREAD - Merry Christmas!!! (13 Viewers)

I'm just getting sick of these stupid offshore sportsbooks in general. Everybody is a scam. You never get your money in a timely fashion. It's ridiculous.

Win a bet, get cut. Request a payout, get delayed. Win 10 bets in a row, suddenly they only accept recreational (losing) gamblers.

It's all bull#### and the more you win, the more bull#### you have to deal with.
Oh ok.  I thought you might have been saying they were not going to pay you outright on bets you had placed and won.

its frustrating for sure Em.  You can more or less go back through the last 8 years of wagering thread history and find all of us complaining about books in general.  It's not not the good old days at all.

Some of these guys waited for checks for like 6 months.

How many years ago was that free money Dolphins game?  Where the book would refund if lost.   I didn't play along but I remember all hell breaking loose.  I believe lump may have been heavily invested.  'member?

I rolled thru sephora earlier to get some tory burch perfume for one of my chicks and ended up buying it for two of my chicks instead and the saleswoman asked me if my wife, girlfriend, sister, or mom had a sephora rewards card. I was like #####, back up and slapped her in the face - just like like Bigg Flossy B and I was like, "##### I got my own sephora rewards card with my name on it, what a man can't shop at sephora these days? You better apologize to me right now you sexist." And she was like yes sir I apologize for being a sexist let me upgrade you to our VIB club with a free complimentary makeover for your wife and girlfriend.
I really like you but I am not a fan of your feminist tendencies.
I have no desire to start a beef. I just wanted to point out that you started a thread about your problems with women, and Saw has hot and cold running tail. I urge you to re-evaluate your judgment of his "feminist tendencies".

Topbet owes me 10 grand with my oldest check request from March.  Cry me a river about waiting 2 extra days for a Bitcoin payout.  And quit asking for a payout every time you win $500 like it's an ATM or be prepared to pay extra fees.

True, however, he is not married which is my goal.

Then what's the point? I haven't invested my time and money over years to not get paid up when I actually win.

I guess the difference here is I want this to be my job. If I make a paycheck, I want my money. The other difference is that I need the money. I'm getting bled to death paying for business school and these pieces of #### have a problem giving up 2K in two-weeks.

That's kid #### to them but good money for me.

#### Topbet, I don't #### with janky ### books that would make me wait. If this is my future, I need cash. I don't want to play games and have a never ending accounts receivable.

I play sides purely because I know that means you're supposed to pay me. But I'm still playing games.

I hear you, but if this is your future, you need to be able to build & keep your bankroll separate from your real life funds.  Maybe you can't do that now though.  A bigger bankroll offers you options like more bonuses, more books for line shopping, etc.  You also don't have to give away profit on excess withdrawal fees.  And you can't always predict when a book is going to go from reliable to janky.  Topbet had no issue paying me over $20k prior to this year.  Same for others here.

The 154 lb limit for the Mayweather fight means 10 ounce gloves instead of 8 which was calculated and smart on Floyd's end.  The weight of those gloves will wear on Conor's arms as much of anything, and protect Floyd from the KO.  I've noticed members of Conor's camp have been saying they will win within 4 rounds when they were saying 6 rounds a few months ago.  I think they are accepting that limited window to set up whatever they are going to set up.

The final factor that keeps running through my mind is that for Floyd, Conor is a one man gatekeeper between him and a billion dollars with a trilogy.  All that needs to happen is for Conor to win the first one.  For Floyd to hesitate with his shoulder roll, or maybe flinch to a hesitation of Conor's hips and its a 10 second nap for him.  One of the very first things Floyd said at the first presser was "I'm here for the fortune, not the fame."  Weird thing to have prepared.

Finally, the few times Floyd has looked human in the ring, its been generally against southpaws...

Don't get me wrong, I want to bet Floyd, I know that's the correct play, a 10* play if there ever was one, but I'm seeing the paths to which it could fail.
I agree that 154 lbs. is a savvy move, for sure. Not only that, I believe that both fighters are prohibited from using horsehair gloves.

Arum's said that Floyd doesn't like to fight lefties because his defensive style is geared towards righties, buuuuuuut, name a lefty who he's struggled against? Judah clipped him pretty good, but May otherwise dominated. Pacquiao obviously didn't get very far. He fought a journeyman way back in his 2nd fight, Reggie Sanders, who was a fairly tough assignment for his 2nd fight, but he scored a unanimous decision. I dunno, I think his two closest fights since he moved to 147/154 were De La Hoya and Maidana I, both righties. I think physical pressure fighters have the best chance, and McGregor isn't a pressure fighter.

I also completely reject the notion that Floyd needs to be inch-perfect or risk getting starched. One-punch KO's don't happen that often in boxing, and far, far less to really good fighters. Especially really good defensive fighters. I don't know how to convert MMA power to boxing power, certainly there are some MMA guys who can bang, but I am skeptical that McGregor is up there in the Stevenson/Kudryashov/Lemieux/Bailey class of boxers who are able to just zap someone and stop a fight. I'd also point out that the absolute hardest hitters in boxing history only got so far if they didn't have the boxing ability to go with it, e.g. Shavers, Julian Jackson.

It's not impossible, but I think Mayweather's chances of losing by ko are greatly overstated.

Alright sports fans, I hold a 50-1 Kuchar ticket.  Seems almost impossible he catches Spieth tomorrow, especially after we saw the difference in testicular fortitude on 18 today.  I had Justin Thomas at the US Open and hedged with a couple of guys not named Koepka.  I don't want to make the same mistake tomorrow.  If Kuch doesn't pull a horseshoe out of his butt tomorrow, it's all Spieth, right?  RIGHT?  Thinking of hedging Jordan -375 to win some money but don't want Koepka to plunger me again.

Also got Grace 45-1 but that ain't happening.

Anyway @lumpy19?  @hooter311?
you know my position(sorry i'm late to respond)

the suspense is KILLING ME

I played Jones -125 over Blaney on my own

F5 F5 F5
I'm starting to think Jones will win a race before Chase does.  The brickyard plays out a lot like Pocono though and I expect the Fords to be strong today.  That said, the Toyota's finally seemed to be caught up and now may trend stronger the next few months.

You'd think top 3 would also be a good bet but bookmaker has that lined at +522, was hoping to see +1000.  Makes me think +4200 is a mistake.

@Good Posting Judge and any other baseball afficinados.  Still alive in baseball survivor but uneasy or for next week.  Gotta pick a team to go 500 or better so I usually look for 6 games rather than 7

Right now going with Texas (home vs Marlins and O's).  Either of these better

Boston @seattle and vs KC

Pitt @SF and @SD.  Dont really like road tes but those teams both suck (so do Bucs tho)

Still 1 guy with 2 strikes left too

Wacha 13-31-2 -$2,075 to the under in divisional starts, the least-profitable starter to the under in that situation since he's been in the league. During that same time Quintana is 25-44-3 -$2,256 to the over in divisional starts, the least-profitable starter to the over in that situation. Two ends of the spectrum. Quintana's first start for the Cubs went 7 innings giving up 3 hits, 12 k's and zero everything else. Hell of a first start after 169 games started for the White Sox.

Wonder if the Cubs put Quintana in the rotation the way they did for a reason, a full week since his last start, so now he won't have to face the White Sox in this four-game series that starts tomorrow.

I bet Wacha. Also not doing great today.

Last time someone threw a CGSO and then tried to pitch at Wrigley in his subsequent start was Wainwright on Sep 22, 2014. The O/U has gone 11-1 L12 (entire database) when the visiting starter at Wrigley went CGSO in his previous start. link
