*** OFFICIAL *** FFA WAGERING THREAD - Merry Christmas!!! (5 Viewers)

Currently using BOL, but thinking about looking for something different....... What do you guys suggest?
I like to bet my own lines. For example, I think the winner of Jaguars/Steelers hits 27 points. Not sure who yet, but that number is unavailable at regular books. That's why I shop at 5D. They offer hundreds more numbers than anywhere else. They get a lot of my money. Also you can parlay and cross-sport parlay literally everything you want, as long as it's not correlated. You can even do an open parlay/teaser/etc if you find a number you like today, and match it with another game TBD in the future. There's a lot of freedom there. Nobody telling you what to do or how to wager. You can even tease basketball totals and I know you're super into that. I'm really used to 5D at this point and it would make me sick to have to wager on a 17.5 on a team total when that's not the number I really want, but just because it's the only number a book offered.

Dudes who love props will tell you it's no good because of the $100 limits. Also the management there has gotten a bad rap in the past, but I think that with a cordial, problem-solving attitude that is easily avoided and not an issue whatsoever.

The strongest argument against them is that they shade their lines to protect themselves against teasers. This is a concept a lot of casual bettors can't wrap their minds around, as I always see a lot of dudes always quoting 5D lines being different than the rest of the books, when in reality they are the same numbers, just with different price tags.

Another good thing about them is that they're basically the Walmart of books. Everyone shops there so therefore their stuff is cheap and you can fly under the radar shopping among the masses.

WIN THE TURNOVER BATTLE Pretty simple, right? You probably aren't surprised to hear the Patriots' three home playoff losses with Brady under center came in games that New England lost the turnover battle. In those three losses, the Patriots have a minus-6 turnover differential. Another problem for Tennessee, though: The Titans' turnover margin was an uninspiring minus-4 in the regular season, tied for 23rd in the NFL.
Belichick 34 playoff games with New England is 25-9 SU and 17-16-1 ATS.

Win the turnover battle: 16-0 SU and 13-3 ATS
Lose/tie turnover battle: 9-9 SU and 4-13-1 ATS

TEN turnovers committed -½ -105

On Wednesday, a federal judge in San Francisco ruled that Coinbase must supply the IRS with identifying information on users who had more than $20,000 in annual transactions on its platform between 2013 and 2015
The guys spending 20k on bitcoin in 2015 are filthy rich now....

Everything above is all true, just use Bitcoin. Lots of credit card fraud allegations from the 3P processor that they use.

They maxed out 3 different cards of mine and then accused me of being "on a list" and gave me the boot.

That said, they always paid and they have the most options.  Would still be there if I could.

Sorry to hear that, hoot.

Yeah do your own due diligence, but if you go on the Reddit sportsbooks page where they can't nuke threads (like SBR, etc.  that they sponsor so the discussion isn't allowed) and search 5dimes credit card fraud there are a ton of threads and posts about this.

Have Kentucky Derby and Oaks tickets set for May.  Taking an all inclusive to Costa Rica in March to relax.  Hoping to live a bit more this coming year.

Yeah, well, I shouldn't have been losing and I wouldn't have had that problem, lol.

Might be going there for a bachelor party, definitely going on bourbon distillery tours. Will PM you if the Derby materializes.

Derby is a blast.  I need to get down there again sometime, probably not gonna be this year though

Interesting.  When I found out they had hockey props I tried to deposit and they said I "was on a list" and wouldn't let me deposit unless it was bitcoin.

First time I ever did that, and after checking my sources I screwrd up the Texas/TCU Under part, and screwed myself. Doubt I'll be doing that again, but ya never know.

Thanks for the write-up, I appreciate it

PSA: Steve Stevens and Big Skipper have the NFL playoff game of the year and it's only $99.

they will throw in a bunch of other losing plays this weekend for free.

I've been looking forward to the Philly defense more than anything. With their 9 techniques or whatever they use. I'm ready to see Matt Ryan get into a few jams and get mad at the o-line. Ready to see his face twisted up into a frown. Atlanta had a good week last week sneaking up on the rookie coach. But now Philly has another, extra week of game tape on them. Tape of the most important game of the season at the time.

Looking forward to see what the line moves to before kickoff.

Pucks:

Caps/Canes OT-Y (+235)
Oil (-135)

Oil is the system pay with the Yotes off of their bye week. Nothing makes me want to play the Oilers AT ALL right now. Purely a system play.

Other leans:

Nucks/Jackets U5.5 (-120)
Jackets -1/2 (-105)
Flames (+105)
Flames PL (+250)
Jets/Hawks O6 (-110)
Oil/Yotes U5.5 (-110)

Effing Caps score inside of 10 seconds to cost me the overtime winner. EFF EFF EFF :wall:

think you mistyped.. $10

Tomorrow's NHL system plays are Ed at LV and AZ at SJ, both teams on 2nd night of back to backers, against teams better than them, one of which never loses at home. Who's excited? Did someone say parlay?

I think JAX/PIT is a field goal at the end. A fourth-quarter field goal. The book is already giving more than a TD with JAX, that's the line they started with. I think if they went the other way with the line move (to 6.5) they'd be tipping their hand.

Bortles, Jacksonville defense, and Jacksonville SOS are the three question marks for me. And also how the regular-season matchup applies to the playoff game. Still haven't broken down yards per play, yards per point, etc.. so that's what I'm gonna look at today

I'm a total square on this.

I get the jax D is great but im thinking bortles has a chance to get benched here and this can get ugly.

Having a hard time seeing how Pit doesn't win by 10.

I am on Philly, the Jags, NE, and Vikes.  So you should be able to comfortably pencil in Atl, Pitt, NE, and Saints.  YWIA.

I'm a big fan of BOL/SBetting. Dime lines on props, nickel on baseball, they get their lines up early, they're slow to limit, pretty sterling reputation in terms of payouts AFAIK. I actually halfway-respect them somewhat, because they originate MLB lines.

5D, with bitcoin, is pretty good too. I think it really depends on what you want. But if someone told me they were going to be betting mostly major-market stuff and only wanted one book, I'd tell them BOL.
