I like to bet my own lines. For example, I think the winner of Jaguars/Steelers hits 27 points. Not sure who yet, but that number is unavailable at regular books. That's why I shop at 5D. They offer hundreds more numbers than anywhere else. They get a lot of my money. Also you can parlay and cross-sport parlay literally everything you want, as long as it's not correlated. You can even do an open parlay/teaser/etc if you find a number you like today, and match it with another game TBD in the future. There's a lot of freedom there. Nobody telling you what to do or how to wager. You can even tease basketball totals and I know you're super into that. I'm really used to 5D at this point and it would make me sick to have to wager on a 17.5 on a team total when that's not the number I really want, but just because it's the only number a book offered.Currently using BOL, but thinking about looking for something different....... What do you guys suggest?
Dudes who love props will tell you it's no good because of the $100 limits. Also the management there has gotten a bad rap in the past, but I think that with a cordial, problem-solving attitude that is easily avoided and not an issue whatsoever.
The strongest argument against them is that they shade their lines to protect themselves against teasers. This is a concept a lot of casual bettors can't wrap their minds around, as I always see a lot of dudes always quoting 5D lines being different than the rest of the books, when in reality they are the same numbers, just with different price tags.
Another good thing about them is that they're basically the Walmart of books. Everyone shops there so therefore their stuff is cheap and you can fly under the radar shopping among the masses.
