*** OFFICIAL *** FFA WAGERING THREAD - Merry Christmas!!! (9 Viewers)

I had a dozen bets going for the SB.  Managed to win a few and profit.  Hit on a parlay of Eagles ML and over 48.5.  Hit on Jeffery scoring a TD.  Hit on Foles completing a pass over 37 yards.

philadelphia is going to burn to the ground tonight, stay safe @mquinnjr
Thanks man

I was on South broad Street after the game. It was like nothing I have experienced or will ever experience again. Cops had a presence, but there were too many people. No violent cringe from what I saw, thank goodness. Taking off today was a great call. I am in no position to work today.

19.6% ROI on my super bowl bets mostly thanks to filthy frosty.  Would have been about 24% if I hadn't mistakenly bet Dion Lewis over instead of under  :wall:
not sure roi cause don't know how much I bet but I make a very very nice chunk for me at least.  Looks to be in the 6k range

Where were ya? I made it out to Broad and Wolf and walked down to Oregon for awhile. Pure craziness and fun. Parade on Thursday!!! Still in disbelief. :pickle:

If Ajayi scores a TD I completely destroy the day, but was still extremely profitable. Thanks Eagles!!! :moneybag:

We started at Broad and Christian and walked up to City Hall. I missed the WFC in 08 traveling for work that I couldn't get out of, so this was the first pro championship in my lifetime. It was incredible to see. Yep, squeaked out a profit on the day too, awesome all around.

I was going to ask what the final tally - winning percentage was on those entertainment props; since you were so adamant on rubbing my face in it yesterday.

I’m still regretting not cashing in all my Cryptocurrency and throwing it on Filthy but I found it at -125 on accident right before kickoff and threw what they let me at it ($200).

To be fair, you questioned betting all those props in the first place, in lieu of just betting one side.

Regardless of outcome (overall it seemed good), there are a looooooot of opportunites to make money on the SB. Sometimes it's on the actual game outcome itself too, sometimes it's which dopey song the guy from Mickey Mouse Club plays first. I personally bet on both, but I put like 10x more money on the stupid song.

Joey Cartolano‏ @JoeyPigskins

A family friend who I trust, is well connected in law enforcement and was in Minny this week with local cops told me Butler missed curfew, got caught with weed when he came back late to hotel, and subsequently had a meltdown on coaches.

----------------

Who knows if this is true, but if so he has no one to blame but himself.

To be fair though (on my end), at the time I made my comment there wasn’t insider information about Filthy that appeared to comprise most of the winnings people here experienced.

At that point, you guys were discussing Dilly-Dillys, anthem length, and the color of Pink’s hair.

If one puts some thought into them, or if there's knowledge to be had, those are beatable too. Money's money.

Is it that hard to just say that you were wrong?

Rutgers, at home, 7-2 ATS at home, against an Indiana team that can't shoot FT's, coming off a close game against Sparty,
2-5 ATS on the road, and Rutgers is catching 3.5.

Someone tell me what I'm missing here.

@Frostillicus

Al Michaels knew the props, and Al Michaels decided to steer it.
Oct 19, 2015

No one makes more subtle references to "tangential interests" like Al Michaels. The NBC announcer knows the spread of games, knows the over/under and, as he demonstrated on Sunday night, is often aware of proposition bets too. During a return from a Colts-Patriots commercial break, Michaels pointed out a "Deflate Cake" being baked by an Indianapolis bakery. He then proceeded to tell Cris Collinsworth - and the entire world - about a prop bet for number of times "Deflategate" was said on the telecast (it was set by Bovada.lv at 2.5). Michaels took it upon himself to make the bet go over. During a break in the action Michaels said, "You know there's an over/under out there on how many times we'll say deflate tonight? Deflategate, Deflategate, Deflategate, Deflategate. Four. You won the over."

Few Hoops Futures to win Tournament:

Purdue +650
UVA +700
Arizona +2000
Cincy +2000
Auburn +5000

I love this Auburn play. TON of value. Size may cost them, but they play hard and make throws. That's too big a number.

I saw the prop at 5D and had no idea of what the hell "Danny Playoffs" was until Collinsworth said that on television as well. Found out that's what Amendola's nickname is. Collinsworth wedged it into his commentary after Amendola converted on third down. That's when I knew, for certain, that they were 100% aware of what the wagers were. It's definitely not something to forget about next year.

I told my wife yesterday that the Daytona 500 is in 2 weeks.  She replied "you don't get much of a break".  Good woman.  Now, if she'd just quit looking up the price of bitcoin and giving me a hard time about not selling awhile back.

Strong line for the Sooners. Still getting the majority of the bets despite having to lay those points. How public were they on Saturday? I know their dude went like 2-for-14 from three, is that right? Seems like some talking head was busting a vein over it on TV. Sooners playing with revenge, which they've done well in. And that total is high as ####.

Since joining B12 in 2012 WVU 1-12 O/U on totals greater than 157 (0-7 O/U v B12) includes the 89-76 win v Oklahoma on Jan 6.

Champions league

PSG -140 to advance over Real Madrid.

RM has looked outright bad in league play. They are still a tough out but PSG is on a mission.

Really bizarre. Really, really bizarre. They didn't tell Rowe he was starting until right before the game.

Saw that. Also missed a flight.

Makes some sense in that light, but still pretty weird that they didn't make the decision until they're on the field right before kickoff. It's also a weird time to make a principled stand, Belichick seems like the kind of guy who'd just use him and then not bring him back next year. I dunno.

Simmons has a crackpot theory that actually makes sense to me on his podcast today.  Decision was made to start Rowe but planned on playing Butler, but once they saw how Butler was handling it Bill was like, "eff this crybaby" and left him on the bench.  Obviously zero evidence for that but I could see Bill having that sort of response in his head.

Agreed, seems so weird like you said.

bet $55 to win $52 on the coin flip.  Lost.  bet $55 on Phili to win $50.  I'm down $5.00.  Am I in the loser club yet?

Well dudes, #### has hit the fan.  2 mother####ing years of chemo didn't work.  Surgery Wednesday.  Radiation to follow.  Sucks hard, been a rough few months, they put us parents in an impossible bad options only decision scenario.  To top it off I got Alopecia or some crazy bat#### on my beard - most likely from stress.  AND I NEVER LEARNED TO READ.  What the hell, man.  Just kidding, I can read.  Thought you dudes would want to know about the other though, think about Izzy on Wednesday.  She's gonna make it through stronger than ever....i'm worried about my beard, though.

This motivated me to check my ROI.  Strong numbers overall, Brady u 3.5 td passes at -370 or worse skewed it a bit, felt like it should be higher winning over 80%.  Felt very fortunate in the end to win that bet, after 500 passing yds, probably should have lost.  Would have been a big swing.  As usual, I totally lost interest in football and didn't start capping until about 3:00 Sunday.  First plays didn't go in until 4:30, and I didn't get plays in at 5 books because I ran out of time.  Congrats to Philly fans and bettors and Frosty for winning the day.  Hope everyone made money this season!  Also, wanted to thank everyone again for donating to my daughter's school charity, that was one of the cooler things that I've seen in a long time, legendary stuff.  Nugs, good luck man, I'm sorry, that makes me very upset.  Good luck.
