*** OFFICIAL *** FFA WAGERING THREAD - Merry Christmas!!! (9 Viewers)

I still can't believe Toronto lost last night :lmao: . I hit 8/11 bets made but because Toronto was 2u and the props were all .5u, I ended up barely ahead.

Washington Capitals +122

Are they really going to win back to back against Boston? I don't know but this is good value on them,

Vegas Golden Knights -212 2u

Yeah, they're a huge favourite but they should be an even bigger favourite than this, especially if it's Dubnyk for San Jose. I might throw this in a couple parlays as well.

Arizona might be a decent value bet at +124 if Kuemper is back but not betting it if he's not back and even then, I don't love it, wait and see I guess.

Keep it up homie.  I can't lay -212 so I played Knights in regulation -135.  I will also parlay them with a hoops team, will let you know.

Yeah, the puck line (-1.5) is +117 which is probably in play tonight too, I don't think of it usually when making bets - I was going to hit it with Carolina last night if GreiSS was in but wasn't as confident with it being Bernier.

Shot props .5u each (6/7 last night, I need to set up a separate tracker on these and see if it's profitable over the long term, for now still feeling it out YMMV).

  • Dustin Brown O2.5 +107
  • Evander Kane O2.5 -169
  • Logan Couture O2.5 +106
  • Mikko Rantanen O2.5 - 171
  • Kirill Kaprizov O2.5 +132
  • Alex Debrincat O2.5 -163

1H - Monmouth / Rider U72

They're capable of putting up 72 but I'm betting on a slow start and B2B.

They're kids they're still be wiping the sleep out of their eyes

George Mason / Davidson O131

Kind of feels like Davidson should destroy George Mason, but I'm just not sure. A lot would point towards the under but I think this one goes over by a mile. Spread indicates -5.5 that it will be close and if I give Davidson 69, that gives George Mason 63 and this covers.

Doesn't hurt when Davidson shoots over 50% from 3.  What else ya got?

Eastern Kentucky / Moorehead State O144

These teams played each other twice this season and neither game went over. Those games were on Mondays in December. This is Friday night in March. They do enough to get the 2-3 buckets they couldn't get in the first two matchups to clear this over.

Starts at 10:30PM

Missed it.... good luck!🍀

Tailing holmes. :lmao:

Avs are dead in the water somehow.  Belmont survived....but the parlay partner, way larger fave, gonna screw us.  Sigh.
I missed the obvious lean. It was a late game, the kids are tired and aren't putting up points. I should have known they would have been all tuckered out...

Vegas Knights/Belmont ml parlay -107

Knights/Avs ml parlay +108

Washington lost but Vegas won.

@facook it was way too interesting but both those parlays hit.

Shot props were 6/6 last night, every one hit.

All in all. Another very nice night.

Neither Colorado NOR Vegas had any right winning those games.  We're on thin ice on the parlay luck.  Maybe need to take a day off.

Nah, just kidding.

I followed you down this path and was hitting refresh on the computer every 5 seconds on ESPN during the OTs.

Good call!!

Bryant has been on covid pause this week, no practices, isolating, testing.  Two of their better players are sitting.  If they can overcome that distraction to win they can have my money.  Sacred Heart +7.

I overindulged last night and got a late start today  :bag:

St. Louis Blues -142

Should be Jordan Binnington vs. Jonathan Quick, could wait and make sure but this line has already moved quite a bit.

Calgary Flames +105

Jacob Markstrom expected to be in net returning from injury. I don't love this one to be honest but I'll take plus odds with Markstrom and the new coach.

There's value on Anaheim +188, they made it interesting vs. Colorado last night and Avs will likely start backup Hunter Miska. I haven't bet on it yet but maybe

Shot props. Somehow 12/13 over past two nights  .5u each

  • Dustin Brown O2.5 +113
  • Max Pacioretty O3.5 -153
  • Auston Matthews O3.5 -191
  • Sean Couturier O2.5 +101
  • Kyle Conner O2.5 -138
  • Tyler Toffoli O2.5 -140
  • Nikolaj Ehlers O2.5 -125
  • Matthew Tkachuk O2.5 -147

I do not think I have placed a wager since the SB, or shortly thereafter.........

jumping in on the UFC card tonight as  warm up for March madness

liking Blachowicz at +195 and sterling EV

It's wrong for Vegas to be offering lines on these CBB games. Some of these kids can't even hit 35% from the floor and I don't think it's fair to embarrass them like that or to expose me to such poor quality of "sports".

It's really sad what is passed off as "competition". All I see are a bunch of kids playing around. If any of you take these college hoops games seriously, you should be ashamed of yourself. The kids are flailing around like a bunch of idiots. They can't make free throws, layups, or dribble in traffic.

I think it's exploitation and a terrible use of scholarship money. The majority of these kids don't deserve to be paid athletes. I hope they start defunding NCAAB basketball teams. It's very cancerous all around.

Why is it a societal norm for us to bet on non-professional sports? Let the kids play. It should be illegal to bet on the outcome of these games.

Woof. Rough day yesterday. No hockey, day off for real today.

For fun Iowa, Baylor, Loyola, Oregon ml parlay.

@Mr.Pack

I've been doing this a long time. Nobody beats CBB.

If you're trying to tell me, the average bettor knows the rosters and play-style of every NCAAB team and that they can predict how non-professionals (teenagers) are going to interact with each other... you're only fooling yourself:

"I'm an expert on all 200 teams including the Freshman Class that just started this year and the redshirt Freshmen who sat out last year. I also account for all injuries and other angles for all 200 teams."

College Football is fine even with the lack of defense because you can effectively cap the majority of school's Quarterbacks and have some type of feel because obviously that position pulls 90% of the strings.

But we're talking about Vegas offering lines for "Tarleton State Texans vs Texas-Rio Grande Valley" in basketball. Like, come on. There's no reason for anybody to care about this game or even know any of the player's names. None will ever be in a tourney or play professional ball.

Vegas exploits the kids (who aren't getting paid) so they can defraud us out of our money, by presenting something as a sports competition when it is in fact largely recreation for these kids. You might as well be betting on the 18 - 20 year old kids playing basketball down the street. It's kind of sickening anybody thinks it's okay to exploit these kids and risk their money on what is essentially a half step removed from a High School game being presented as a legitimate sports competition.

Hockey was bad yesterday. 2/8 on shot props, making it 15/22 on the season, so I will stick with it later today.

1/4 on sides with the longshot Ducks being the only winner.

Dallas Stars -151

Pittsburgh Penguins -147

Tampa Bay Lightning -206

----

There is value on the Florida Panthers at +124 as long as Dreidger starts but I'm done betting against Carolina. Ottawa at +148 against Calgary on the 2nd half of a back to back is intriguing too, might depend on how many beers I drink between now and then - or maybe I'll target a couple Sens in shots props.

Another burden is HOW CHEAP it is for a college to run a Basketball program vs a Football program. Basketball team all you need is 20 warm bodies. Football you need 55 warm bodies and backups to your specialists.

The result is that you see every 2-bit school with a "basketball team" and because Vegas are greedy (and you're addicted to gambling), you'll end up betting on Houston Baptist's 5-19 NCAAB team.

The product is so obviously watered down compared to other college sports, yet requires more work (more teams) and more luck (more variance) than any other market I can think of besides NASCAR (which is the epitome of a luck sport).
