***Official Game Thread*** - Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints (1 Viewer)

Glad we don't have to watch Favre porn for the next two weeks. Still stunned by that PI call though. Wow was that horrific. One of the worst calls considering the circumstances and the stakes I've ever seen in an NFL game.

Well, can't expect to win with that many turnovers.
This pretty much sums it up in a nutshell. Minny outplayed NO tonight, but you simply can NOT turn the ball over 5 times and really think you will win. Great season though. Nothing against Minny...I just hate the drama queen.

Vikes got way too conservative when they had a chance to win it. Reminds me of another NFCCG.
Still regardless they got a 12 man in the huddle penalty, they didn't even get the chance to win it.The Vikings shot themselves in the foot for most of the day. This has to be a bitter pill to swallow because the game I watched, the better team lost especially when you consider where they played at.Gratz to the Saints on getting to the SB. You'll have to play a lot better to beat which could have been the undefeated Colts. Let the 2 weeks of hype begin.

So Favre last pass in the NFC championship game is still a pick. At least this time he was not costing the Packers a shot at the Super Bowl. Good to see that he has not changes with respect to protecting the ball with the game on the line

What an embarrassment for the NFL. Absolutely horrible officiating decides the game. I didn't have a strong feeling one way or another, but this is really sad. A terrific game ruined by really bad officiating.
:excited: While it was a questionable call...there have been far worse...and the game was not necessarily "decided" on that call. How about the 6 fumbles and 2 INTs?

Buh-bye, Brett! :lmao:
I love the people who do nothing but hate on a guy who does nothing but make every team he plays for, better.
People always hate winners. He never played for my team but I respect what he's done as a football player. It's like all the hate for Tebow in college football. There's a lot of people who trash him but there's not anyone who wouldn't want them on your team. Anyone thinking the Vikings get this far with Tavaris Jackson at QB are kidding themselves.
Actually, it has absolutely NOTHING to do w/ hating a winner. I actually was a big Favre fan prior to his drama queen status after 5,897 retirements and playing it up thru the media. THAT is why I lost respect for him. :excited:

He's an anti-team player. All time interception king. Stats drive him to play. He manipulated Green Bay for years. His playoff meltdowns are well documented.

Despite people's complaints about the game, I have to say that being able to call the Saints NFC Champs after 30 years of fandom is, simply, an amazing feeling.

:excited: The refs are too old and the game is too fast. The NFL really needs to do something.

Stop, it makes you look like a loser.

How dare he be unsure about retiring! That's worse than intentionally trying to hit your girlfriend with your car!

Next to the Bears taking down in the Brent in overtime a few weeks ago, this is the best football day of the year. Congrats Saints. I owe you

I still don't get it. He's one of those guys who they are gonna have to tear the jersey off his back at the end. He's tried to walk away and can't give it up. The guy loves competition and gives it his all. At 40 years old with his accomplishments he has nothing to prove. If I were blessed enough to have the ability to play at a professional level I'd likely feel the same way and want to play as long as someone would have me.

Wow, i got no dog in the fight but the OT officiating was terrible.

-Kick-off return, Viking got tackled blowing open that huge hole

-A couple of really questionable spots

-The PI penalty was ridiculous

-Meachams pass hit the ground, no question.

But on the upside, no more Favre!!!

Sure, the first time. I get that. But time after time, it's always been all about Brett. I lost respect for him when he put himself ahead of his team(s) time after time. :lmao:

Get your resume together. I'm sure you will get the Rose Bowl next year and the SB in 2011.

You really don't get it? Seriously?

Congrats Saints Fans! Who Dey...er Who Dat! (for these 2 weeks)

That was an awesome trophy presentation btw! :goodposting:

Glad to see the Saints get their chance :goodposting:

What stats is he hoping to achieve? I'd say he's got some pretty impressive career numbers as is. Agreed he's had some untimely turnovers but Green Bay wouldn't have been what they were without him and last time I looked he did win a Super Bowl.
