***Official Game Thread*** - Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints (1 Viewer)

Fumble was on Favre. You're RB is supposed to be looking for the hole. QB is supposed to jam the ball in his gut. If the ball hits the gut, it's on the RB if it doesn't, it's on the QB.

Awful handoff.
That was Peterson's fault.
Or not.
Aikman's comment while watching the replay in slow motion:
It hit his [Peterson's] right arm. And what happens is as a running back if you don't open up the pocket then it makes it very difficult to try to put it in. And it looked like Adrian was so concerned about where he was going to go with the football that he didn't give Favre a real clean pocket to put the football into.

Aikman is a QB. He never blames the QB for calls like this.

I had just got done telling my son that the Bush fumble "could be the game changer". And then the Vikes pissed away an easy score. :goodposting:

A great game by both teams. Bush should have fair caught that ball, but Minnesota's fumble offset his mistake.

Besides that, good offense, good defense by both teams.

I just think the Saints need to outscore the Vikes here in the second half if they wanna take this one.

LOL at the fighting over whose fault the fumble was.

Bit of both there...Peterson needs to be a bit more open for the handoff...Favre as the QB needs to make sure it gets stuffed in there.

Well, this one looks like it's gonna be a dogfight until the end. I expect both head coaches to pull out all the stops on offense this half. As a Vikings fan that makes me nervous. Chilly pulling out the stops... :goodposting: :wall:

for the first hallf

Vikes have 41 offensive plays for 189 yards

Saints have only 25 plays for 161 yards .... Saints doing more with less, but Vikes controlling the time of possession

Only one play for 20 yards by the Vikes and two over 20 by the Saints, one the 38-yard pass sun by Pierre Thomas

This game is reminding me of how utterly clueless both of these head coaches are at times. Hard to believe one of them will be coaching in the Super Bowl in two weeks.

Childress is calling a terrible gameplan  they need to feed ADP more.
Coach Payton isn't calling his best game either. He loves those cute little fake reverses and plays that take forever to develop. You can't run those creaky plays against a very fast defense like this.Brees has missed a couple of guys deep early, otherwise the Saints come out for the opening kickoff in the second half with a 2 TD lead. Thus far, really exciting game.

To this point: Three touchdowns and three extra points for the Saints. Two touchdowns and two extra points for the Vikings.

'Bout time Payton wised up. Pierre Thomas is by far their best RB. Feed him the ball when you insist on running it.

Runaway? Are some of you just wishful thinking?

Minny has too many weapons to think they will just get run all over...even by the Saints.
