You were saying? Is it snowing? Cuz that's the only way...I'm hoping decker is blanketed and they two Thomas's go nuts... More to Julius since I own him. My opponent had Decker. Here's hoping for a 4-40 game. He's due
FYI, this doesn't make any sense.Wow. I did not expect this. Damn now I have a WDIS thread. I benched Brady for Foles but now NE can take homefield advantage with a win against Miami.
Actually it makes sense for consideration. He originally thought Foles over Brady - but now he is wondering if the additional incentive for Brady (number 1 seed) would elevate Brady's performance over Foles. In his case, I would be leaning Brady anyways - but I haven't researched it much.FYI, this doesn't make any sense.Wow. I did not expect this. Damn now I have a WDIS thread. Honestly, do you really think Brady was going to try any less against Miami, if the Broncos had won tonight?Actually it makes sense for consideration. It's not about trying - it's about the added motivation. You see added motivation all the time - like when someone plays a team that had earlier shunned them.Dr. Octopus said:Honestly, do you really think Brady was going to try any less against Miami, if the Broncos had won tonight? The Dude said:Actually it makes sense for consideration. Honestly I do not.And I can turn your argument back on you - you don;t see that the Patriots will be more motivated with the 1 seed on the line?
Yeah I know what he was thinking - I was saying that it doesn't make any sense. The Patriots are basically a half game up on the Bengals for the #2 seed, it's silly to think that they need extra "motivation" to "try harder" to beat the Dolphins. The Dude said:Actually it makes sense for consideration. He also may have meant that he was going to start Foles because he needed to gamble it up, that is, start a player with a high-but-unlikely ceiling over a consistent-but-midrange guy. Not that Brady never explodes, but, this season, other than last week, has been a bit disappointing. While Foles could easily backfire, he could also throw for 5 TDs at random. If jon007 needed to match up against a high-scoring Peyton-led team, the proper move could have been a high-variance risky play. Now that he knows that Brady's average is about Peyton's locked-in total, if he has the edge in other positions, it's now the right move to play the guy more likely to equal Peyton and win it elsewhere, rather than risk a guy who could disappoint and leave him playing catchup with the rest of the roster.Yeah I know what he was thinking - I was saying that it doesn't make any sense.
