Didn't Hanks get B&T with Gervais at a previous show?  Took a snarky shot while introducing an award maybe?  Could have him confused with someone else.

He is only a couple of years younger now than Jackie Gleason was when they filmed Nothing In Common, and he certainly doesn't look it.

It probably helps that Hanks hasn't spent a lifetime on a diet of whiskey and unfiltered cigarettes.

Yeah, I cracked up when they panned to Hanks.  I only watched the Gervais opening bit but thought he killed it.  And if his goal was to make the energy in the room as uncomfortable as possible, he accomplished that.  Well played.

He was just getting a lot of lusty love from the ladies of twitter a week or two ago when he was rocking a beard. I don’t know if he looks young and he was never a heart throb but I think he’s aged well. Again, most movie stars who don’t go off the deep end or party too hard look good as they are paid a lot of money to take care of their looks. He’s no Brad Pitt though lol.

You are right.  Hanks was never good looking, or the typical leading man type but usually he plays endearing roles that make women like him.   I doubt he would play Hannibal or Ted Bundy.

it was supposed to be Sherman McCoy in Bonfire of the Vanities. he couldnt carry it off and that ruined any chance the Book of the Generation had to be a good film

Hanks also ruined any chance for the Dan Brown flicks to be any good because i never bought the genius puzzlings of Robert Langdon coming from him. Brilliant at being the child in the man and finding the full range of the average soul, but that's it
