Hey, is it ok if we move Rosetta Stone to either Political Document or Wildcard? The more I'm thinking about it the more it doesn't make sense as non-fiction.
You can move your picks around at any time. Where would you like the Rosetta Stone moved to?
Just for the record, how is the Rosetta Stone a "political document"? I'd like to hear an argument for that.
Per wiki, The text on the stone is a decree from Ptolemy V, describing the repealing of various taxes and instructions to erect statues in temples. That is in fact a political document. How it compares against other political documents is a separate question.

From wikipedia:"The text on the stone is a decree from Ptolemy V, describing the repealing of various taxes and instructions to erect statues in temples."But it may make more sense as a wildcard, since it didn't have a widespread influence on politics.
This is completely your call. I am unable to give you at this time any idea of the stone's overall importance as a wildcard pick, since there are not very many wildcards that have been taken. It's far less important than the Apollo Mission, but considerably more important than Woodstock. How's that?

OK, it that's true then it would qualify.

Walking the Boxer, and will be thinking and back for my pick

Sorry about that... had that Gershwin all ready to go- seriously uncanny there. Then I got pulled away...

14.10 Television Show- Twighlight Zone, Rod Serling et al

Contributed massively to just about all aspects of the genre: directing, writing, acting, editing. Some of the shows were absolutely genius- and most are still being mined for ideas. I hate taking a TV show when there's SO much more out there in other cats, but I didn't want to snooze on this.

edit to fix sizing issues

You should walk your dog for longer than that. Poor pup.
Leaving Now - an hour ok??Dog is Ridiculously Spoiled
:hifive: Boxers are good dogs.
Great dogs, my wife and I once were involved with the local boxer rescue. Time, work, and demands of a growing family ended it, but still my favorite breed. I highly encourage people to at least consider adopting a dog from a local rescue, especially one of these noble beasts. They are among the most loyal and genuinely "happy to see you" of dogs. Ask any boxer owner about the famed kidney bean dance.

Claude Monet - Rouen Cathedral

Not sure where this will rank, but I find this series to be stunning. If I am forced to pick one, as I believe will be the case, let me know and I'll get on it.

####. I don't like you either. :loco: literally was about to go with either of these instead of 95 theses. was hoping at least one would fall to norwood for the next pick.
Sorry. I like you. Does that help?

Didn't UH get to pick the three that were in a particular museum?
It was a three-panel work. None of these are.

14.13........ Acting Performance - Atticus Finch in "To Kill A Mockingbird"

GREGORY PECK

Gregory Peck's performance became synonymous with the role and character of Atticus Finch. Alan J. Pakula remembered hearing from Peck when he was first approached with the role: "He called back immediately. No maybes. The fit was among the most natural things about a most natural film. I must say the man and the character he played were not unalike."[2] Peck later said in an interview that he was drawn to the role because the book reminded him of growing up in La Jolla, California.[3] "Hardly a day passes that I don't think how lucky I was to be cast in that film," Peck said in a 1997 interview. "I recently sat at a dinner next to a woman who saw it when she was 14 years old, and she said it changed her life. I hear things like that all the time."[4]

The 1962 softcover edition of the novel opens with the following: "The Southern town of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD reminds me of the California town I grew up in. The characters of the novel are like people I knew as a boy. I think perhaps the great appeal of the novel is that it reminds readers everywhere of a person or a town they have known. It is to me a universal story -- moving, passionate and told with great humor and tenderness. Gregory Peck"

Upon Peck's death in 2003, Brock Peters, who played Tom Robinson in the film version, quoted Harper Lee at Peck's eulogy, saying, "Atticus Finch gave him an opportunity to play himself". Peters concluded his eulogy stating, "To my friend Gregory Peck, to my friend Atticus Finch, vaya con Dios."[5] Peters remembered the role of Tom Robinson when he recalled, "It certainly is one of my proudest achievements in life, one of the happiest participations in film or theater I have experienced."[6] Peters remained friends not only with Peck but with Mary Badham throughout his life.

Peck's character dealt with many issues - Right vs Wrong, Racism vs Tolerance and Free-Thought, persevering for a just cause even though you know the end game will result in failure, teaching your children to be fair and compassionate with the hopes they will build a better world in their time.I always wanted to be the Man Atticus Finch was.

14.14 - Toccata And Fugue, by Bach - Composition

No write up right now.

- I'm sitting in a cafe having lunch

- This one is all Bobby's pick. I'm just making it for him.

Draft on.

Because of the character or because of Peck's portrayal?
