I love wrong forum schtick.NorwoodGAVEL!
OK, let's get this meeting underway. First, we need a list of Tides' remaining picks to be evaluated. Then, we need to come up with new ways to discredit them.
This argument is as strong and compelling as the writeup you posted when you picked it.I'd say that PoM is worth 11 points if the clocks aren't melting. I believe a few extra points should be tacked on for meltiness.
I'm on it, boss.Tides' sculpture is Venus De Milo. Sure it's nice, but she's missing both of her arms. Those arms might have been hideous, we just don't know. I think that's enough to dock him a few points. Krista, will you contact the Moops? Tell him the gang needs a favor...
I will also add meltiness points for whoever took The Wizard of Oz.*I'd say that PoM is worth 11 points if the clocks aren't melting. I believe a few extra points should be tacked on for meltiness.
Enjoy re-living the moment of goo?I will also add meltiness points for whoever took The Wizard of Oz.*I'd say that PoM is worth 11 points if the clocks aren't melting. I believe a few extra points should be tacked on for meltiness.*So long as it was timschochet or BobbyLayne.

Now I get a request, right?
I want to hear "Angelina/Zooma Zooma" by Louis Prima . . .

the pick-a-lock dance.:IBTL:
I saw that Sam Butera just died a few weeks ago.Keely Smith still performs in Vegas- at least she did a few years ago, with some old members of the band that are left.
the pick-a-lock dance.
LinkI went there once, a couple of years after the movie came out. We were on our way from Louisville to Kings Island, I think--or maybe it was a Reds game we were going to--and just decided to stop for lunch somewhere. Had no idea what the place was. Don't remember much about the meal other than it was pretty good and we kept wondering why there were so many pictures of Rain Man around it--then :X as we realized it was where the toothpick scene was filmed. His performance in that movie is to me very one-note. By virtue of playing someone with autism he necessarily had to tone down any emotion and was left with just talking with a strange voice and weird mannerisms, and that's it. A lot like Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump, IMO. Not terrible by any means, but way too many better performances on this list.I thought Rain Man was great. Part of the movie was filmed in the area of Kentucky I lived in, so maybe I'm a bit biased. Ever eaten at Pompilios, Postradamus? Still, I thought his performance was generally well thought of in that, no?The Gary Cooper ranking really stood out to me as well. Don't agree on Rain Man--think that performance is generally way overrated.I'll be back with more comments after dinner. Those look pretty good.![]()
I'd say you very much off on Raymond Babbitt in Rain Main - Dustin Hoffman and Marshal Will Kane in High Noon - Gary Cooper. Both should be much higher.![]()
I think Norwood might have taken the lead with Hummus' pledge.ToW win this thing yet?
This post should have received some love.since y'all have a bias against it, Scotty should be allowed to switch Persistance of Memory for Dali's "Dembo Missing a Free Throw". the net's ON TOP of the rim, the lane is a lake of fire and the shot clock is dancing with bent silverware from a Uri Geller auction being conducted courtside by Jack Nicholson, the grimacing face of Tides of War reflected in his shades. gotta go - ceiling is melting again....
wide right again, Scotty.Current Standings
Tides of War - 192 (adjusted score = 312)
Scott Norwood - 148 (adjusted score = 223)
OK, let's stop the draft now. No need to judge any any more categories; I think we all get the idea.
how many points did Studs & Duds get for team Norwood?Congrats to our GB Tirnan for having the best group of Wildcards.......
He never took it. He got 2 points for pornography, though. I really should have ranked that higher...how many points did Studs & Duds get for team Norwood?Congrats to our GB Tirnan for having the best group of Wildcards.......
Was the Nutcracker yours? Damn, I screwed up...I wwa shoping the Statue of Zeus, being an Ancient Wonder, would have scored higher - but that was offset by The Nutcracker getting a few more points than I expected.Good job by that judge
