i know every one has done it, i stole a jet and landed it going to michaels

so question, i did all the things in flight school but didnt get anything... do i need all golds pr something
Flight school progress reduces turbulence making flying easier. Flying helicopters is my latest offline favorite. On the middle east side of the map, there is a Los Santos County facility with 2 helipads on the roof. Every once in a while, there is an attack chopper on the left hand pad. I've stole it for Michael & Franklin without being wanted and stored it at the helipad. Additionally, you can get a police chopper off of one of the police stations. Its on the roof of the station near the north end of the beach three blocks in from the freeway. Having the jet and the attack choppers is a great money maker for whoever owns the scrap yard. Just blast the #### out of everything by following the freeway around the map. Another fun one I found by accident, was to fly over the far end of the air base, just enough to be warned but not shot down. This will flag items with the red dots. Then, hang just off the base and watch for planes to take off outside the base. You can chase them and shoot them down with the rockets (they will send a huge force after you with 5 stars after).

I guess my question is I finished flight school but nothing said here is your license etc.... does that not happen?

ALso I picked up a parachute after taking the cable car up in the mountains. It shows up under my weapon wheel. How can I use it? TIA

If you have a parachute in your weapon wheel then all you have to do is jump from where you want and press the A button to deploy your parachute

I know I am way behind but I am LOVING THIS GAME. I spend more time on the side mission (the rampages, the pot, the drug/gun deliveries) it is jus so much fun.

I burned out on the GTA a while back but this ine is great, imo.

Is there a fast travel? I assume I just have to drive across the map and end up in a couple pursuits along the way :)

WIsh I joined online with you guys but man I am having fun. :gang1: Rampage is the best

I have had REPEATED troubles with online since the 1.06 update. Can't manage to stay online for more than a 15 - 20 minutes without something crashing. Anybody else? On 360.

I haven't touched this game in weeks. At first online seemed like the greatest thing ever. Then when all the connection problems started I lost interest and never even completed the single player storyline.

Might have to go back to the beginning and replay it all this Christmas break. Sounds like they updated a few things, and by then maybe some DL content will be available. I'm going to avoid online though - it just killed the appeal after awhile.

I was just thinking last night how much of a ball I had with GTAV in the first few days it came out, and how I quickly went from 60 to 0 interest because of Online.

And this coming from a guy who did complete single player, but ####ed up by completing too many of the assassination missions early on and not having enough to get the golf course.

Maybe when more DLC comes out, I'll get back into it.

I don't see how not owning the golf course could taint your fun experience with this game.

It's a small part. The big thing was online destroying any desire to play and beating single player.

I will finally get to play this Monday. What are some tips for early in the game to make the overall experience better?
Money will be tight, so hit the underwater $25,000 briefcase and keep driving by the spots where the armored cars respawn. Locations for these can be found online. Go into every mission wearing the $2500 armor from Ammu Nation, you'll last a lot longer. Upgrade each character's default vehicle as soon as you can afford it.

The only things I have left are the nuclear waste missions, finding the spaceship parts, and solving the murder mystery. Is the payoff for any of these worth it? I'm usually a completionist but I'm quickly losing interest here.

FWIW if I did it over again, I'd buy properties and spend money throughout the game and not worry about maximizing profits from the Lester missions. The properties give you a bunch of side missions as the game progresses. I will basically miss out on these, having waited until after the final heist and Lester missions to buy anything. Not a lot of motivation after you are done to keep driving around until a property manager calls you with a side mission. There's nothing special about owning the golf course.

Wow do I suck at this already. I need to relearn how to play in the GTA world, aim/shoot (especially while driving) and to drive. Man, I hope I get the hang soon.

It comes back.
It definitely feels better now. It's really hard to see your target dot though.

I did a bunch of Franklin side missions, robbed some liquor stores and just randomly drove around. Got killed by a wolf and drowned once. A few shootouts with the police.

Question; the $25k submerged briefcase thing, is that something I would normally discover through the course of regular gameplay, or a 100% exploration? Will I be "taught" how to dive etc.?

Did you go into the options and change the reticule to a slightly larger version? It's not great, but I found that I was able to see my aiming a lot better.

I haven't changed anything in settings.

I would try it. The day GTAV came out, some guy posted 5 things to do before you start playing in depth. Changing the reticule was one. I tried without changing it and finding the red dot was impossible at times. After changing it, I only would lose sight of it a few times. That said, the difference was night and day in my gaming experience.

Huge difference.

Do you need to do that iFruit stuff?

just about ready to hang it up. a few more assasination missions and the drug running missions and I say goodbye. Actually considering going to red dead as I passed it over the first time.

I'm not sure what this means.

ifruit is the offline app that lets you customize some of the game mechanics. It's optional.

Oh. I never used that.

Red Dead Redemption is probably my favorite game ever.
RDR is the only game of this type that I've ever finished 100%. Absolutely loved that game. And bought it again when the zombie DLC game came out too (can't remember what that one was called).

Undead Redemption.

I also went for the 100% for the first time ever. I didn't get all the horses of the Apocalypse though, as the Unicorn never spawned for me and I gave up.

i have a question... i had a stolen car in my garage.

i took that to the autoshop and spent tons on it. if fast super fast and super strong.....

i took it to a mission and its now gone....not in my garage either... whats the point of fixing mt car up if i can only use it sparingly

Anyone still playing GTA Online? I played for a few days when it was the hot thing in town but havent touched it in a while. Just did not feel compelling enough to revisit, anyone still playing it though?

You put a tracker and auto insurance on it too?

I don't know if this schtick or not

I quit. Just kept having too many bugs and getting booted off into the offline game WAY too frequently.

Its real for online. For offline, you just wasted money. Offline, only upgrade their default vehicles.

Its a shame that they failed their online attempt. They must have put a lot of time and effort into the online aspect but they failed to make it fun for the user. There was no purpose in lowering the prize money for certain races and changing the rules for Survivor missions; it was freaking virtual cash, why were they being so serious with it? Game should have not penalized players so heavily for getting killed, they changed this later but this drove off a lot of players.

Imagine if all that time spent on GTA Offline went into further developing the single player game? This game could have been like 100 hours long in story and no one would care that there was no online aspect.

It was fun for a bit, but without a true co-op story to carry people through it was just a ####ty shooter with a horrible race game in the middle of it.

They will certainly have SP DLC later. More heists and some other stuff. I don't know how they will handle it for some of the end of game options, however.

Some report of a totally new 5th character with a total new storyline to come out at a much later DLC.

It's a shame because there was so much potential in the size of the map and all of the places on it.

I've said it before, but Just Cause 2 had a huge map, but it required you to explore it more. While GTAV's map was way more detailed and less tree covered, most of it was pointless to the game.

My company has an employee purchase agreement with Sony and they have some decent deals on games. I'm not much of a gamer but liked GTA5 and would like something with similar mechanics (no 1st person shooters). Also love the car racing games. Not much into the online thing and don't own a headset. Whatcha got?
