it's been a long time since you invented that shoot the lock thing...but I still remember it. Only reason I drive is that I'd drag my whole squad along and take them to some sporting event, and see some family as part of the trip.
yeah, but now we're talking about a whole GD show, parking here, renting cars there, etc, etc, etc. It needs to be a MINIMUM of an 10 hr drive someplace before I considering flying a family of 5 there.

Yes. So freaking long. I loved it tho. Rock Band and Guitar Hero are the reasons I am learning guitar.
I used to own Guitar Hero, and it was easier for me to play Rush's "YYZ" on an actual guitar than it was on Guitar Hero.
Listen to jdog. Elixer strings. I prefer the nanoweb to the polyweb, but both are awesome.
I didn't know how easy it was until I watched. That was the second time I stayed and realized I could easily do it.
These were D'Addario nickel bronze coated. Trying a few out. Those will be next. Thanks for advice.
Nice job. Such a great song, the louder, the better. A band I used to be in played that song, and nothing felt better than striking those power chords in the chorus and just soaking in the glorious distortion.

The deep C feels perfectly natural. I think the best compliment I could say is that I didn't really notice it, which I think is the ultimate goal when designing a neck shape if you know what I mean. I just found myself playing the guitar unplugged for 20 minutes because it played so effortlessly and resonated so well through it's body. I didn't even know it was a new neck shape until I looked up the specs after playing it. They definitely got it right. Same goes for the new "tall narrow" frets.
Seems like it would be useful for anyone that plays electric guitar. How useful is the question. I'd love one, though not sure how often I'd use it, eschewing my Strat and Princeton Reverb. Great guitar for vacations, and other situations where bringing an amp is impractical, though it costs enough to make you second guess using it in certain situations. Might be tough selling them at that price considering you can buy a used American Strat for about the same $$.
I don't know if Slash has multiple models out there, but mine is a cheap beginner one.

Huh. I had to look up HPL to figure out what it was. Never played a black Martin before. Would be interested to hear the tone.
If it sounds good, that’s what matters. I’m way past my purist phase.Purists don't like HPL, and I didn't know it was HPL until after she bought it. I just know it sounded damn good the first time she picked it up and played it.Her other acoustic is a 3/4 size fairly inexpensive (Luna) guitar, so not necessarily a fair comparison.

I’m old school. If you’re serious, I’d recommend formal lessons for at least six months and then you can switch entirely to online instruction. An online video won’t correct bad form. Also, online videos won’t keep you accountable for practicing, which you sometimes need to get through the early frustrating stage.prosopis said:
