Luckily for me my wife still likes to grab my ### in my $30 Old Navy jeans.

Works for me.
In before 30 other married FFAers chime in that their cheap jeans are just fine.:missing the point:
Like I have said I'm 32 wife is 35 We both have A pockets, wife has other seven jeans, as well as true Religon. I have Ernest Sewn, Paper Demin, Chip and Peppers(My favorite) And my 7 year old daughter even wear A pockets... :lmao:  So I would be 1 of the 10% for married guys over 30.El Floppo hit it right on the head, if you know jeans, you can tell the garbage from the good stuff. If you think I'm gay thats fine. I just like to dress stylish. And I also have a Brazilian

The next good jeans I find, I'm buying like 4 pairs, because right now I have one favorite pair of jeans that I wear al weekend, every weekend. I have 3 or so other decent pairs, but I never wear them.
Ditto. I have a pair of Lucky jeans that I pretty much treat that way. But I'm married with kids so dropping $200 on jeans ain't happening.Need to check out Mavi's.
As stated earlier in the thread Mavi's are great jeans for the price (sub $100). I have a pair on right now (GB casual fridays) and these were about $88. As Otis correctly pointed out earlier, Mavi's are hit and miss depending on the color and wash.

How do you like the Mavis? How long have you had them? The wife interviewed with them, but really didn't like the product (thought they were made poorly) and having to be based in Turkey, IIRC. I always thought they looked nice enough  but never bought any.

Oh, we're just getting warmed up.Seriously, I can't think of a more important/staple part of a guy's wardrobe than a good pair of jeans, particularly for single guys. If importance mattered, this thread should easily eclipse the length of just about any FFA thread there is. It's that important.
If you believe this is true you need to seriously upgrade. Think of it this way:Diesel, True Religion, Rock and Republic, Se7en, Paper Denim = Bellagio, Wynn, Venetician. Looks over priced and not worth it until you actually stay there.Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Guess, etc. = the Aladdin. The comparison in quality between a pair of Diesels or true religions isn't even close. Anyone who doesn't know this has either not bothered to look close enough, or has no eye for quality or detail.$200 Diesels>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>$80 Guess or Ralph Lauren.and they use higher quality denim, last way longer and fit WAY better. You get what you pay for.

I agree with everything you're saying except the bolded part. I've found absolutely zero correlation between price of jeans and how long they last. The denim is better, yes, but better because it's softer, more thread-count, better washed, etc, not becuase it's somehow stronger. You want duration, Lee, Levis, Wrangler etc are the way to go, from my experience.

I'm not even getting into this one..

Nice lifespan. :goodposting: Doesnt' change what I said. I've had expensive jeans last a long time and I've had them not last a long time. Same for cheaper jeans. I will say that the more mass market brands like Old Navy, AE, tend to not be made so great on top of the cheaper fabric. Those end up breaking apart a lot sooner, IMO.

That came out wrong. What I meant to say was that Diesel AND true religions are are way better quality than the gaps, mavis, guess, etc.I read a post in this thread which said TRs don't last or fall apart. BS. I have had a paiur for two years now, and they look like I bought them yesterday.

The quality of denim that TR uses is unreal...super soft. Not everyone can pull them off though as they tend to be more low-ride style.

Diesels are, and have always been, value for money. Great washes, various fits and quality materials and craftsmanship. A pair of those compared to what, say Otis, is now wearing is a huge upgrade. Once you buy them, and wear them for a while, you won't be able to go back.

Rock and Republics are great as well.

I consider se7ens to be one not below these three kind of like Steven Jackson to LT.

Not much to say. If you have some money to spend on clothes then it's up to you what you do with your money. Years ago in college I never would have considered it on my beer budget, bartending and waiting tables, but today I can justify it and think they can make your "outfit" look really good. I also wear jeans to work everyday so I get a lot of use out of them. I have a couple pairs of Sevens, a pair of Diesels and a pair called like 1642 or something (i remember it has 4 numbers.)My wife's more the catalyst, I wouldn't say she dresses me, but she's quick to let me know when i need new duds.

I have had the Mavi's for about 8 months now. They are decent jeans but no way compare to my several Diesel's and premium guess jeans. They don't have button flys and the wash is a little darker than I usually wear. But I wear them on Friday's for work mostly since it is casual friday. Once I get home and go out, the Mavi's get replaced by the Diesels or Guess. If you buy them expecting decent jeans then you won't be disappointed. They are not bad for my work jeans.

Then why act like I was outside of the gate because I could not afford to go in?Im angry because you have troubles picking up girls without spending that much money on jeans? Not at all. I find it funny that you need expensive jeans to pick up girls while I did just fine wearing cheaper jeans.I think its painfully obvious that you are the angry one and are begging for everyone else's acceptance/approval of your choices and are miffed that there are those who think its silly. Otherwise why start threads about what jeans are cool...what sunglasses are cool?Wanting to look like Brad Pitt or someone else because someone told you that was cool.

Flaming...not really? The only ones flaming are those asking for other guy's approval of their jeans and obviously getting bent out of shape that there are some that think it is foolish to spend that much on denim.Important topic? hah!!!!

As far as quality is concerned you definitely get what you pay for, I just typically can't spend beyond the second tier stuff like Express, Gap, etc with child support payments and crap like that. I WILL NOT, however, stoop to buying Old Navy as I've bought their men's clothes for the last time. I've bought a couple of shirts and a couple of pairs of pants there (some cords once and some cargos once) and every single one of them has either fallen apart, shrunk like mad to where they looked like crap, faded like they were dyed with food coloring, or went to crap in some other way. For kids clothes where they outgrow them fairly quickly it doesn't seem to make as much of a difference but for adults there stuff is garbage. They are the same company as Gap and Banana Republic but the latter two are a tremendous step up in quality from Old Navy. It isn't even close. My favorite pairs of jeans that I wear all the time are from Express. I absolutely love the way they fit but I must say that they are starting to get some wear by the corners of the back pockets and are going to get a couple of holes before too long.

BTW, Otis, I think you keep throwing out the term "baggy" fit when you should be using the term "relaxed" fit. I have to have a more relaxed fit as I have too thick of legs for the slim fit stuff. I actually have a pair of Diesel jeans that I bought on eBay to try out but unfortunately can't even get the damn things on. Skinny ####### Europeans.

If you can't get them on just relist them on e-bay. You will get some money back for them atleast. :moneybag:

Ever pair I own right now is either Express or Nautica. The Nautica is more comfortable, but the Express jeans are more in style and the ex said they look way hotter. Went with the darker blue with some of the faded coloring to it so it looks more stylish and dressy.

Important question> zipper or button fly?Go.
 I'm doing a trial in two weeks where I'm defending a dude for indecent exposure and one of my major factual defenses is that he had button fly jeans and therefore did not "unzip" like the witness claims. Maybe I'll have to use this thread for research.

I've actually never heard of the Diesels, Rock, and Republics... where can they be bought? I honestly don't recall ever seeing them, and I've been drug to enough malls/fancy stores to think I would have.

Nordstroms is a good start for a lot of the jeans. As far as diesel stores go, you are #### out of luck in MN. You would have to go to Chicago or Dearborn, MI to get one. If you are back home in PA the closest is Philly. You can shop online but I wouldn't recommend it for jeans since each jean style fits different.

Cool, thanks. I can't afford much more than the Express/Banana Republic/AE jeans (usually go with coupon or clearance sales too) right now but this is good stuff for the future.

:lmao:You can find Diesel jeans in stores other than Diesel stores in nearly every city in the US these days. You dont need to go to Chicago or Deerborn.

Diesel Stores = Stores owned by Diesel that only sell Diesel clothing. The closet diesel stores to Woz in MN is Chicago and Dearborn.

Nordstroms carries a lot of premium jean brands.

Not rocket science here. HTH

Another good place to get these type of jeans is an outlet mall of some sorts. Off Saks 5th Ave, or Neimans Last Call. They have a good asortment of all of these, there just out of date styles that can be bouth for cheaper.

Huh?

I haven't heard many people say they wear Abercrombie jeans. Is A&F considered high school stuff or is it approved for all ages?
