Ariel is under the radar it seems with everyone focusing on Kevin and Van. I think it is Kevin's to lose at this point. He's bailed out his team (especially Andy) for several weeks now by helping other stations. Dave works very hard but I wish his voice wasn't stuck on the same tone. Someone should thump his needle. I think I would order my crepes sans the extra sweat though. Those guys are soaking the food back there.

Yeah Ariel is probably the most competitive right now on the ladies side. Although Tenille could make a run she seems to be doing better recently.The sweat thing is dead on. Get these guys some hats at least. And Dave with the knit cap, what is that about?

Actually I can see a Marine acting just like that. Saw many do it while I was in. I love our guys in the military but they are just a microcosm of the country as a whole.

Yes I missed that. I only watch when I remember it's on and so I miss some epis here and there. If Nova hadn't had a later showing last night I would have missed this one.

I like how the patrons go into Hell's Kitchen and complain about not getting served food promptly. It's like they've never watched an episode of the show.

If I was ever invited to eat there I'd eat a light dinner somewhere first. Then anything I was served at Hell's Kitchen would be gravy. Seems you'd go there to see the Ramsey shoutfest instead of for the food. You got chefs sweating on the food, undercooking the shrimp and pork, slicing their hands on the potato slicer, picking discarded pasta out of the trash bins, all the chefs tasting food off your plate, etc.

Agreed. He's been the strongest so far. Wouldn't be surprised to see him and Dave in final 2.

Yeah those two have been neck and neck. I've also been very impressed by Van. Didn't expect him to be such a good chef.

I think Dave will win this. He seems to be getting the most favorable edit. Kevin has been really consistent but hasn't really received much camera time. Makes me think he isn't winner.

Ariel's "mistake" doesn't deserve to be equated with the other two. She burned some lettuce, it's not like she tried to serve it.

But, it does seem like she has started to lose her nerve, or something. She has started to crumble after flying completely under the radar all year season.

I can't believe Suzanne has outlasted yet another contestant. And I really can't believe Tennile is as close as she is to winning. Does she have any other volume on her voice than YELL?

between Dave's monotone delivery and Tennile's obnoxious yell speak, I often FF my DVR for any interviews they have. It's unbearable at this point in the season. Really the only reason I watch this show is to see Ramsay yell at the contestants and go ballistic on the occasional customer that comes to the kitchen to complain.

I'm putting my :money: on Van or Freckles.

Dave's robotic tone & Tennile are in their interviewsThey've become the highlight of the show for me. I used to hate both , especially Tennile, but they're really grown on me.

Dave won the second he broke his wrist and decided to continue with the show while in pain. This is TV. He's the hero.

I think you're spot on. Ramsay obviously has a huge amount of respect for Dave. Also, I think this is the strongest Final 3 we've ever had on this show.

I don't think Kevin had better pure skills. Dave was right in there, and more innovative in the end. Good for him.

While I agree that Kevin is more polished in his style, I don't agree that he's the better chef. I think Dave was smart to choose a relatively simple menu (read: easy for others to copy well on the fly). It allowed him to focus on running the kitchen. Kevin's dishes were just too difficult enough that it cost him the night.

It was averaging around 7mil viewers per week. Overall it finished third, but I saw earlier in the season (have to find the article) that it wins in the 18-35 demographic. They have been running commercials for auditions for the next HK during the show here in DC, so it looks like it's coming back.

The signs were there all along. Nice call. Just before the final announcement, they showed Dave saying that he wasn't sure if he did enough to have the win. At that moment, it was a lock that he was going to win. This was the first season I can remember where both of the final two were somewhat likeable. Usually you wind up hating at least one of em.I wonder how many of next season's contestants will have long hair and backwards baseball cap look going?

This was the first season I can remember where both of the final two were somewhat likeable. Usually you wind up hating at least one of em.

I thought both Christina and Petroza were likeable couple of seasons ago. Both were pretty humble, and neither were cocky, arrogant, or annoying.

Kevin had a bad team. Van impressed me, but it appeared that he was doing about 2.5 jobs out of the three available. I almost thought that Kevin should have hopped on the scallops at the beginning. I think that he finished close, but the editing made it appear closer than it was. If he had saved that time by doing it himself, it might have made a difference. If he could have pulled off his more ambitious menu in the same time frame, it might have been a different outcome.
