First off - what happened to You Eric Roberts - face was pulled too tight :wub:

I thought it was the best episode thus far. It really didn't go the way I thought. Claires dad really was a "good guy" but I think for selfish reasons, obviously.

My question is did he call in his Boss to setup this ruse with the Haitian? Or did that come together after Roberts showed up. Not sure I understand why he would call him to set up this plan.

Also - the girl in the lab is the same "wi-fi" girl right? If so, is she really working for Roberts or on the side of the "heroes"
HRG, Matt, and the Haitian came up with the ruse. This is why the Haitian came to help Calire's Mom and Lyle escape and then disappeared. The boss was called in so HRG would not be killed.

Interesting stuff coming up for Heroes. Jack Coleman who plays HRG was on a local radio station yesterday and said that in Chapter 20...

mytagid = Math.floor( Math.random() * 100 );document.write("

...the show will be 5 years in the future. He said that this was the fututre that they were headed toward but that it was definitely preventable. Talk about shades of the X-Men. I am very curious to see who exactly might be the other heroes around at that time and just how evolved the powers of the heroes have become.

Its going to be very interesting...

Interesting point I just read elsewhere I dont think was brought up here - regarding why the shooting took place at the bridge. Perhaps HRG was supposed to kill the Haitian at that location, same as invisible man, then bring in Claire.

Another interesting thought - could Peter and Nathan's mother, Claire's grandmother, be the one behind the scenes pulling the strings of the Haitian?

:nod: That's how I saw it.

I think HRG told his boss the haitian was on the run. I took that as he was claiming to not know where he was.Dumb question: Does the Hatian have a name?

Not that has been revealed to us.

Couple of thoughts on the episode last night...

Someone already mentioned this, but I find the exchange between Hiro and his father in the earlier episode a little odd now that it has been revealed that his father is involved in the company. I can't remember exactly how that whole scene went down, but I'm pretty sure I remember Hiro trying to explain that he is special and that he is on a mission. He didn't seem to be taken in by it at all so the only conclusion I can draw is that he has had his memory erased at some point.

Something no one else has mentioned yet is when HRG is holding the gun to the invisible man on the bridge, he looks suprised after the first shot like it was an accident or that someone else had shot it. Maybe it's nothing but certainly seemed as though that first shot was not what he meant to do.

One thing I don't get is why the boss guy (HRG's boss) would ever shoot Ted. Maybe he was aiming at someone else, but why he would shoot Ted makes no sense. He has to know he is radioactive and that shooting him can go very wrong. After all, he would know all about him and the tests they ran on him since he is a higher-up at the company.

The new graphic novel on the site this week is good. it shows HRG rescuing Claire as a baby from the fire her mom started. Apparently him and Claude were going into tag her and she lit the place up.

Or he's trying to protect his son from whomever is in charge by making sure Hiro kept a low profile, just like HRG was doing with Claire.

Easily the best episode of the season.

I don't think Simone is alive.

I wonder if Invisible Guy was protecting Peter Petrelli?? Maybe he found out that Peter could absorb other people's powers. Maybe Invisible Guy was protecting Simone since he was always on the roof of her dad's building with the birds...
???I'm confused by this statement. Can you explain what you mean?

If that was the case, I don't understand why he would give in and let him roam around the US on his conquest. Seems that would give him even more incentive to bring him home.

I noticed this also. It seemed too obvious to be an editing oversight by NBC.

I said something similar in post 2232 on the previous page, but it wasn't that concise. :lmao:Basically HRG's original partner was Claude (invisible guy). It was found out that he was protecting another person with abilities, so he had to be taken to the bridge and killed.When everything went down with Claire, HRG tried to pin in on the Haitian when speaking to his boss. Thus, the Haitian had to be killed as well, and then HRG would bring Claire in. Even though the Haitian shot HRG, it will look as though the Haitian foiled the attempt on his life and instead shot HRG, and took Claire.Now that the Haitian seems to be out of the picture as far as "the company" goes, it's interesting to see them grooming Matt Parkman to be HRG's new sidekick. The lines between good and bad are getting increasingly blurry.

And Linderman's oblique profile looked like ______________.
I will guess Donald Sutherland :lmao:
I guessed someone else, but Sutherland is a possibility. Haven't tried to confirm his identity yet. Is the info out there anywhere?
Malcolm McDowell?
:lmao: That was my guess.
Malcolm McDowell is confirmed by Ask Ausiello over at tvguide.com

I guess what I mean is that maybe Invisi Guy and Simone's dad knew each other since we get the impression that Simone's dad had some sort of "look into the future" abilities. Maybe her dad told Invisi Guy that he "saw" Peter at some point and knew he would need help. I guess it all depends on timelines as to when Invisi Guy ended up hanging out on the roof with those birds. Awfully coincendental that Invisi Guy was hanging out at the same building where Peter was working...I am sure I am way off though...

Not only the building Peter was working in. That building has become a focal point of the show. The painting with the view of a destroyed NYC is from the roof of that building, it's also roof of the building that Claude (invisible man) kept his pigeons on, and it's also the building where HRG was given Claire from Hiro's dad.

So, where the hell was this Wi-Fi chick? PArkman is talking about cracking into HRG's computer and I would think she would be perfect for that. Instead she is no where to be found. With Eden gone and possibly Simone we need more hotties on the show. I appreciate the producers helping out a bit with the chick at the paper company at the end of the episode.

Question about Ted going near nuclear. How was it that he didn't put out massive amounts of radiation during that process?

Also, how is it that Claire's face is all blistered and bleeding but he hair and eye brows are intact? I realize that she heals but she also suffers the injury first. She's not like Superman where the bullets just bounce off. So how does her hair remain?

uh....its a tv show?I'm sure there are going to be minor little quirks like that from time to time.

Well, if I wanted to suspend disbelief that much I would watch 24. Oh wait. I already do. Nevermind!?!?

:goodposting: Not to mention that everyone that was in that house should die from radiation sickness soon.

Now that the Haitian seems to be out of the picture as far as "the company" goes, it's interesting to see them grooming Matt Parkman to be HRG's new sidekick. The lines between good and bad are getting increasingly blurry.
I don't see that being the case. If I'm understanding the plot correctly, Haitian is pretty much out of the company and it'll be his responsibility to protect Claire. HRG's memory was erased on the bridge and he told the Haitian to "go back deep" (or something like that), meaning he wants to forget everything about his role with the company and ever knowing Claire (for her safety). Haitian shot him so he'll get treated at a hospital but wake up with no memories of the last 15+ years. And he'd no longer be useful nor a threat to the company, so they should pretty much leave him alone.

I think Haitian just erased memories of Claire. I think the company that he works for is still interested in him as an employee but his life wont be threatened if he knows nothing of Claire.

First, I don't think Haitian erased everything to do with Claire. Just the plan the came up with as to where Haitian will take her and his personal knowledge of her powers from prior to the day the PArkman and Ted showed up. He knew she was special but the Haitian has to remove all of that so that it looks like the Haitian knew and he didn't.Second, if you saw the preview they show him and new chick at Primatech walking and she asks if HRG guy can remember how to do something.....So he is obviously doing work for Primatech still and still in a covert role.....

I didn't see the previews, I watched it online. So I guess he still works for Primatech.The reason I think HRG had all memories of Claire is because of the way the cried and said good-bye to her before the Haitian did his thing. If he was just forgeting the recent info about Claire's powers, neither him nor Claire would have gotten so emotional.

Well I had some extra time on my hand so I decided to read all of the graphic novels from the Heroes website.

Graphic Novels

I have done a write up on each one and it can be found in the spoiler box. If you don’t want to know, then don’t read it. I have not read the most recent novel, Part 2 of Chapter 17. For the most spoiler info start reading at chapter 13 (About the new Hero) Enjoy, there is some good stuff here.

mytagid = Math.floor( Math.random() * 100 );document.write("

Chapter 1 was about Mohinder and his father. His father was not religious and believed in genetics and the fact that people out there were special with special powers. Two things of significance in this chapter. One was that the taxi that Dr. Suresh drove was really messed up. It looked like it got torn in two. The other thing that I thought was important was that Mohinder said that Sylar was patient zero according to Dr. Surresh

Chapter 2 was about Hiro. His grandfather survived the bombing of Hiroshima and fought off cancer. He also gave Hiro a copy of Action Comics #1 (which was the first Superman comic). Hiro took that to mean that his grandfather wanted him to be a hero. He realizes this after he teleports into the future and sees NY explode.

Chapter 3 was about Nathan. This one was interesting because it shows Nathan using his power to save a girl from a burning building. He winds up flying into the building and then getting out without anyone but the girl seeing him. She calls him her angel.

Chapter 4 was about Claire and happened just as she was crashing her car into the wall with the molester in it. She is trying to figure out what happened to her. She saved the kid when the car blew up and realizes this is the 2nd time walking through fire in a week

Chapter 5 was about DL. He gets arrested for stealing the 2 million dollars and killing his crew after (which we know doesn’t happen because of the next chapter). He is being interrogated and he slips out of his handcuffs. That was the first time he ever used his power. He then tries to break out of prison and the thing that ignites his power again is the thought of his family and his love for the,

Chapter 6 was about Nikki/Jessica. It shows how she was the mastermind behind stealing Lindermans money. She was supposed to crack the safe but just ripped it off instead with her strength. The crew seemed to turn on her and she killed them and kept the money. Gave it to some guy to launder the money.

Chapter 7 was about Parkman. Probably the worst chapter Ive read. It shows him chasing a thief in a cop car. He can read what the guy is thinking and finally rams the car and arrests him. Not very good

Chapter 8 was a good one. It shows Isaac remembering the first time he knew he could paint the future. He is at a painting show for his paintings and this girl comes in and gets upset at him for painting her being hit by a bus. She storms out and he runs after her trying to tell her he has never even seen her before. And, you guessed it, she gets hit by a bus.

Chapter 9 was about Eden and was a very good one. Eden’s dad abandoned her when she was very young. She was left to live with her step mom who basically forced her to do the chores (very Cinderella like). As she grew, she continued to do the chores until one day she snapped. She told her step mom that she wished she was dead and the moms heart stopped. That’s when she knew she had powers to get people to do what she wants.

Chapter 10 was about Audrey Hanson (FBI Agent with Parkman). She is investigating Sylar and he is hanging in the back row of a crime scene. She sees him and starts chasing after him. He eludes her for a second and gives his coat and hat to an older guy (seemed homeless) and Audrey shoots the old guy thinking he was Sylar.

Chapter 11 was about Mr. Bennett aka HRG. He approaches Eden’s dad to tell him that she is dead. It shows Sylar attacking her, her killing herself and then guards hitting sylar with stun darts. The dad was like, who cares she was a whore and HRG gives him a beat down. He tells the Haitian to erase everything except the guilt.

Chapter 12 was one of the more interesting ones and might have led to some of the posters opinions on Peter. It shows him looking at a criminal that can fly with the aid of a jet pack (think Iron Man). Then he realizes that he can fly also and goes off chasing him. They fight and finally Peter knocks the guys mask off and realizes that he is looking at himself. He is confused because he thinks that he is a Hero not a villain. The he wakes up in the hospital.

Chapter 13-16. This is a 4 part series about a new hero yet to be on the show named Hana Gitelman. She is an Israeli operative. Her grandmother was a holocaust survivor and a rebel during WW2. Her mother was a fighter pilot during the 6 day war so she had a lot to live up to. All three ladies are on a bus that has a suicide bomber on it. Hana is the only survivor of the three and misses the funerals because she was in the hospital. She grows up to be in the Israeli army but they will not let her advance in the high ranks. Horn Rimmed Glasses comes to Israel to get her. He tells her he is CIA and that he wants to train her. They train her and realize that her special power is the ability to read electronic communication (emails, text messages etc). They send her to Africa to try to stop a doctor from selling a bacteria. She says that HRG wants to have it for himself. She gets captured and none of her story is making sense to the cops because she is not a CIA operative and HRG is not a CIA agent. She gets away from the cops and moves to Montana under a new name. She has vowed to get revenge on HRG because he manipulated her and she can see through her reading of emails that he is doing it to others. The last scene has her leaving to gain vengeance.

Chapter 17 was the best in explaining certain things up to this point. It is about Ted Sprague (Radiation Man). It says how he killed his wife without realizing his power. Then Hana Giltelman comes to see him and they both have the scars on their necks. She says that they were injected with some kind of serum so that HRGs knows where they are. It seems like every time HRGs gets done with a hero they have a scar on their neck and have been injected with this serum. It ends with the army closing in on Sprague. *** SPOILER ALERT! Click this link to display the potential spoiler text in this box. ***");document.close();
Here is an update on Chapter 17, Part 2mytagid = Math.floor( Math.random() * 100 );document.write("

Chapter 17 Part 2 continues the story of Ted Sprague. In the end of the last chapter there are men that have surrounded Sprague. They pour liquid concrete on him and say that is how the Russians contained Chernobyl. He is able to get out of the concrete and kills most of the men doing it. He then remembers what Hannah told him about the scars on their neck. He traced the gun they used to a factory in Montana. He finds out that the factory makes the guns to put an isotope into wild animals so that they are traceable. He thinks the people that have injected them consider them to be wild animals that need to be traced. He wants revenge and blows the factory up.

I think my 3 year-old son is a Hero:

I had a dream last night that I was on a 10-speed and knew the front wheel was missing the nuts to hold it on the fork but kept riding it. Eventually, the wheel came off and I was peddling for a bit on just the one wheel and a friend said, “Look, he’s riding a unicycle.”

This morning, during breakfast, we were watching Jo Jo’s Circus and one of the clowns was riding a unicycle and my son said, “Look daddy, you were riding one of those.” And I said, “I was? When was that?” And he said, “I saw you riding it one time. I think it was last night.”

I've never rode a unicycle. True story and no Oujia board involved...

Make sure you hide him from the people at Primatech. I hear they are looking for people with special abilities

Yeah - a lot of good stuff. I like the Simone part from the previews. Very interesting scene with Claire too. The last scene of the episode is probably the greatest cliffhanger so far this season - now we have to wait another friggin week to see what happens with that.

The reason I think HRG had all memories of Claire is because of the way the cried and said good-bye to her before the Haitian did his thing. If he was just forgeting the recent info about Claire's powers, neither him nor Claire would have gotten so emotional.
Exactly my thought, too, which is why I am so surprised about some of the responses here.

For those that want to know and cant wait till tomorrow - here is a detailed summary of the episode. Read at your own risk!
