That's a good point, I'm trying to think what the male version of these matching glossy items would be. Whatever it would be it would have to be a whole closet of matching ensembles.

 
I think at this point, Hillary's wardrobe choices are just second-level trolling.  She deliberately wears bizarre outfits in the hope that somebody says something about it, so that her supporters can then point to that as an example of sexism.  It's the only reasonable explanation for why she dresses this way.

 
I read that Hillary chain chugs Doctor Pepper.  In other news, the world's only long term study on people who chain chug Doctor Pepper has found that it causes delusions of grandeur, paranoid behavior and extreme corruption of values and fashion sense.

Dubious to consider comments about looks and weight as sexist. Orange Donald, Rand Paul's hair, Christian Bale's weight loss, Pablo Sandoval's weight gain, Bruce Jenner's face (pre-Caitlyn), etc. Looks are equal opportunity sources of critique. 

 
All shtick aside - it is sexist to comment on her outfits - hideous as they may be.

Men have one option - Suit Up!

Women have far more decisions to make about attire, based on a variety of factors, including body style/shape.  Clinton has decided that the pant suit fits her better than the alternatives.  

We can laugh - but it is sexist.

 
I have been and expect i always will be massively critical of Hillary.  And I'm not exactly in a swing state, but after seeing whats playing out on the GOP side, I will absolutely vote for her as the candidate.  I wish we could send that Canadian out of here on a rail.

Pretty sure if one of the male candidates showed up at their campaign events in a pants suit they'd be criticized as well.

You may have a point here. Anecdotally speaking, the only candidate to have flamed out of a presidential race due to an hysterical scream was a man. 

As for HRC, there's both pros and cons to her acting like an #######, and she should be expected to take her medicine when called out on it. Playing the sexism card just reinforces what a privileged, manipulative and shallow individual she is.

A CBS News investigation has found that at least one foreign company with close ties to its government has been giving generously to the foundation run by Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton.

... One donor - Rilin Enterprises- pledged $2 million in 2013 to the Clinton Foundation's endowment. The company is a privately-held Chinese construction and trade conglomerate and run by billionaire Wang Wenliang, who is also a delegate to the Chinese parliament. Public records show the firm has spent $1.4 million since 2012, lobbying Congress and the State Department. The firm owns a strategic port along the border with North Korea and was also one of the contractors that built the Chinese embassy in Washington.

That contract is a direct tie to the Chinese government, according to Jim Mann, who has written several books on China's relationship with the U.S.

With "embassy construction, one of the most important tasks is making sure that there are no bugs there," he said. "So you want to have the closest security and intelligence connections with and approval of the person or company that's going to build your embassy."

The Clinton Foundation largely stopped taking money from foreign governments when Hillary Clinton became secretary of state in 2009. It resumed the practice once she left in 2013, but never stopped taking money from foreign companies or individuals.

In a statement, the foundation said that should Hillary Clinton run for president "we will continue to ensure the Foundation's policies and practices regarding support from international partners are appropriate, just as we did when she served as Secretary of State."

In all fairness... how many bald guys have been taken seriously as a candidate for president.  You can't think of too many veeps and nominees for that matter.  Last one I can think of is Ford, who was never elected.  Before that, Eisenhower?

Fat guys are also disqualified.  Last candidate who wouldn't look conventionally fit was... Dole?  Hillary is kind of chunky, but gets a pass on the weight but her weight makes her wear these stupid outfits.  But I would guess she has the highest body fat of any candidate in the last 20-30 years.

 
People make fun of Trump's appearance all the time.  People made fun of Lama Alexander all the time for his stupid plaid shirts.

I think looks and appearance are always part of the equation.  And I think she looks ridiculous in a pant suit - but I'll acknowledge that men don't have the same fashion issues that women have.  Men wear a suit, and you just come to expect it may fit differently on different people.  (Bernie has certainly been criticized for his "off-the-rack" look)  I have a feeling Clinton looks pretty ridiculous - because of the high body fat - in any outfit she could choose (though in a moment of weakness, I thought she looked fashionable the other day when she had her leather outfit on).  But part of that is a sexist stereotype of what women (successful women) should look like/dress like.

We make fun of her pant suits, because they look ridiculous, and because she is a woman wearing a hideous pant suit trying to look presidential.

I have no sense of fashion myself and i wear cheap clothes. I have no issue with pant suits. It's just this Asian look she seems to be stuck on looks weird.

Probably the only way Hillary can lose New York is if minority voters suddenly shift to Sanders in larger numbers than we have seen so far.  Who on Hillary's team signed off on this?  How doesn't Hillary put a stop to it?

I was in NY this am and watched ads play for Hillary, which was shameless pandering to the Black community - then one for Bernie which was great and focused on his legacy as an actual protestor for civil rights.  I can't put myself into the shoes of a Black voter, but can't see being fooled by the Hillary ad.  Ad this log to the fire and if anything could spark a last minute conversation...

I am not suggesting we can't make fun of her wardrobe - pretty sure SNL has done that - it just has a hint of sexism for a bunch of duded sitting around a forum laughing about pant suits...the reality is we are simply making fun of her appearance - she is kind of dumpy, so it does not really matter what she wears - she can't hide it...

I don't think jokes about Hillary's monochromatic wardrobe are necessarily sexist.  We all think that Ted Cruz looks like a pedophile.  If that flies, then surely little jokes about how Hillary dresses like a Star Trek character are okay.

 
Oddly enough Clinton has made fun of Trump's hair, and Bernie's wild hair has been the subject of conversation.  So, in many ways it is a double standard - its ok to joke about men's appearance, but not women's.

...Obama’s distinction about what should and should not be classified will serve as little solace to journalists filing FOIA requests or people charged with mishandling sensitive documents. But they will surely be cited in legal briefings nonetheless, potentially undermining the government’s moral high ground.

Just last Friday, the Navy reportedly brought charges against Lt. Cmdr Edward Lin for handing classified information over to other countries, including potentially China and Taiwan.  

“Now does this guy get to pick and choose what’s classified and what’s not classified?” said Morgan Wright, a cybersecurity consultant who has worked with the U.S. government.

“Can you imagine now the legal arguments that people are going to create because of this?”

If nothing else, Obama opened his administration up for jokes at his own expense.

“Anyone have the number for the Attorney General?” Snowden tweeted on Sunday.

“Asking for a friend.”

Regardless of what Politico wrote about prior cases of high profile administration officials accused of mishandling documents, which I do recognize, the fact remains and the article does not contradict that claims of "overclassification" are never a defense in any case of mishandling classified data.

- Like Hillary, Snowden also had unmarked documents in what he transferred.

The politico article was not really that good.  It is just more speculation based on very narrow assumptions.  First off, I have serious doubts the investigation is limited to only mishandling of classified information, which is all the article addressed.  There could be many other laws broken such as destruction of evidence and violations the laws in connection with the Clinton Foundation which would be supported by the potential people that are being discussed for FBI questioning.   The article kind of jumped the shark when it suggested it is not really clear if Hillary's servers were less secure than the State Departments.  That point was laughable, IMHO.  I agree that the intention to disclose, especially when she is talking to aids inside the government would not be criminal, but when talking to people outside government such as Sidney Blumenthal it raises legal concerns.  And I am not sure what the legal standard is for gross negligence is.  I am sure carelessness, as Obama described it, would not neccessarily be gross negligence, but it does not eliminate the possibility either.  The Politico article may have advanced the debate in some areas, but it is far from being an exhaustive analysis of what the FBI is considering.

I'm certain Obama knows the law on this. As such, it's pretty evident that what he is saying isn't helping former Secretary Clinton; nor should it be assumed it is designed to. 

 
The joke was dumb and unfortunate. But both DeBlasio and Clinton have such solid relationships with the black community that I doubt it will have any affect. The involvement of the star of Hamilton doesn't hurt, either. 

And this will be another example of the "double standard" that pisses off so many conservatives: the fact that white liberal politicians are quickly forgiven for this sort of thing, but that with white conservative politicians, it lingers on and on. That's because the majority of blacks believe, rightly or wrongly, that liberals like Hillary have their back.

It was clearly designed to help Hillary.  Hillary has only 2 defenses to the disclosure of classified information laws.  One that it was not intentional, which Obama firmly stated on two occassions it was not intitional.  And secondly, that it was not gross negligence.  Obama addressed that by saying it was only carelessness, which would imply it was much less than gross negligence.  If the FBI investigation is limited to those two laws, and perhaps Obama has insight into that, he was clearly sending a message to the investigators where he stood on this issue.

Bernie, Cruz, Trump, should all disclose.  But when you bring up the issue of openness in government, it still makes it hypocritical.  And her tone was one of being very defensive, which is what really made her arguement sound bad.  

 
The 1994 crime bill was both good and bad. There were good elements to it (like the assault weapons ban, which lasted 10 years.) But it created lots of problems with over incarceration. 

Had Bernie voted against it, he could effectively use that against Hillary and might even make some inroads in the black community- if anything would have done that for Bernie, this might be the issue. But Bernie voted for the crime bill, so he can't really make a good case.

To my understanding, it does not matter that it was unintentional. Correct me if I'm wrong there. If that's correct, then Obama knows he's done nothing to aid former Secretary Clinton.
