She just gave the middle finger to Bernie supporters.  May not matter. Hillary is BK, she wants it her way.  Just a bad move IMO.

:lmao:  I'm sure you were going to vote for Hillary unti this time.

The only reason you think Kaine is pro Wall Street is that he supports TPP, But he doesn't support it as much as Obama.
But for the fact that he had legislation that wants to pull back some regulations on banks to pre 2008 levels.

anti-abortion guy who wants to loosen regulations for the banks. He's basically the anti-warren

Wasn't Kaine involved in something sleezy or scandalous?  I've had a negative impression of him for as long as I can remember...just can't remember why anymore.

I know Saints thinks that Virginia is a slam dunk anyhow- we'll see. But if she wins Virginia, my understanding is that it's very difficult for Trump then
Yep, assuming everything else....from 2008 or 2012....hint, it is 2016 with fear as the platform.   This is like UNC playing four corners after the shot clock was implemented.

So, what demographic does this entice that wasn't already firmly in the Hillary camp?
moderates and others on the fence (social libs or moderates esp) hat live in battleground states and are just too scared of trump to vote third party / GJ, even if they cant stand voting for Hill

What blue states from 2012 do you think are going red this time around? Or are you buying Trump's claim that he'll win New York?

Lol at Willie Neslon and Fat Uncle Jerry Buss acting outraged here. You guys were going to support Hillary until this minute right?  :lmao:
I thought the whole point was she was going to unite the party.  I thought she had to do that in order to win.  Guess not. We knew she would say whatever she had to to pretend she had come around toward Bernie's positions. This pick proves it was all only lip service and it proves what we've been saying all along.  She's completely full of ####.

I just think he hits many voters that are not pollable.  We can have somewhat educated discussions here but here is not who Trump is tapping into.  Pro cop, pro usa, pro fear.....it sells better.

I know at least 3 people through extended family that are on somekind of govt aid that watch fox news relgiously and think immigrants and others are feeding off the systems.  It is insane.

Basically, this.  If you're Hillary, you might as well double down with moderates and run on a you-can't-be-serious-about-Trump platform.  Make it "reasonable government" vs. "insane monkey-### government" and hope that voters are rational. This figures to be a no-brainer strategy that in a normal year would lead to a double-digit win, but who knows.  I thought Trump would be eliminated back in March.

I think GJ will get a lot of dem votes, Trump will kill on the other indies votes.

This is an interesting issue that I hope will get a lot more play as the election moves along.

I think the Ls are going to pick up a bunch of disaffected Republicans and, as a result, are going to be seen as a R-in-spirit party.  That's going to push away Democratic voters because of tribalism.  In the end, Bernie supporters and Dems who can't stomach Hillary end up sitting at home or biting the bullet and voting for Hillary, not for Gary Johnson.

I'd love to be wrong about this and see him pick up bipartisan anti-statist support.

Figured it would be Kaine.  Pretty disappointed, mostly because they're just going according to script and hoping it works.  Any normal year, this makes sense. This year, it's unhelpful.

I guess the question is, do you really think Bernie supporters will not see she went pro wall street at vp?

Hillary looking any better to some of you undecideds now?
When Trump announced Pence as his VP it made her look a little better to me, but Trump would have to have a series of horrible decisions like this to get me to vote for her. I don't think it is likely to happen. Plus her VP pick made her look a little worse for me. So basically whatever points she gained from Trump nominating Pence she lost most of them with her pick of Kaine.

Yes, obviously.  Because when you nominate someone for such a powerful position as VP, you've tipped your entire governing agenda.

I like Kaine.  I'd rather have him as president over everyone running.  I don't think he adds anything to the election equation, which makes me nervous.  But, if Hillary can escape November with a win, I'm really comfortable with Kaine as president after Hillary gets impeached.

You mean the guy that promises to never approve a budget that isn't balanced and also will never agree to raise taxes?  That guy is going to pull a lot of Democrat votes?
Yes will pull many bernie votes, other two are that bad.  He will get close to 15 polling.
