Drain the swamp.  To review, Podesta's buddy at the DOJ has been put in charge of the new investigation, which led to charges of nepotism and a new brewing cover-up.

Now let's add an email from him to Podesta describing his "quest" for Hillary, and his application to work on the campaign.

[sarcasm]Podesta, "I may have a job for you."[sarcasm]

Special prosecutor.  Now.
Honestly, after literally decades of politically motivated investigations, especially regarding Hillary, can you at least understand that for many of us it's just crying wolf at this point?

I'm not suggesting there is no fire with all this smoke... but the reality is after decades of having smoke blown up our collective asses, having derailed gov't in doing so and hurting our very institutions through congressional and other witch hunts, please recognize and respect that at this point, you all have simply cried wolf way, way too often.

We are numb to it. It no longer has any meaning. OOOHHH! ANOTHER SMOKING GUN!  Just like the dozens and dozens over the past 20 years that have amounted to nothing. It's the very behavior of looking to undercut your opponent in politics rather than to actually govern and fulfil your responsibilities that the GOP has played (fast and loosely, at that) which has caused this environment in the first place.  Beitbart. Wikileaks, Banghazi ad nauseum.  Birther movement. More birther movement.

Please, this voice is muted because of the idiots who have yelled at us without any real substance for 30 years.  NOW is suddenly the time that it's indeed the wolf at our doorstep? A week before an election? Please.  There is no basis for us to have ANY faith in these accusations, and that is no one's fault but those who have hurled them for 20+ years.

So you're not interested in the topic just getting me in particular to type it?  You're right it is what it is.

I don't care what you rehash. I told you a week ago I wasn't taking your stinky bait. You seem obsessed with me though when plenty others will actually answer your questions.  Weird.
My focus on you is because of your repeated :lmao:  responses and an unwillingness and/or inability to answer direct questions. Instead you posted flippant smilies... you are right though, it's not worth the effort. If you are afraid to answer, unwilling to answer, not able to answer... whichever it is, you are clear that you won't answer.

Unfortunately for me, I do care about having constructive discussion on important matters, and should probably focus on people with the courage, desire and wherewithal to do so.

You're frustrated that you aren't getting answers to your questions that you can't even remember without going back to look?  Probably not worth getting frustrated over if you can't even remember them.
Yeah, a half dozen questions from over a week ago.  I make sure to keep all that in mind and sorted out... when I know the person to whom I addressed said questions has no intent to try and answer them to begin with. Best he's got is a rolling smilie, what can I say.

The most fascinating thing about this whole election is the fever a lot of people have to defend this woman.  Some of them have even admitted they aren't even going to vote for her.  Astonishing.

No dog in this fight, but, your posts suggest otherwise.  If anything you're reaching the boiling point.
I've definitely reached the boiling point.  I am, no kidding, existentially concerned about the state of our nation and our future.  I'm concerned about a rollback of personal freedoms and liberties.  I'm scared about a rise of nationalism where my wife yesterday, in response to the vitriolic words of a Trump rallier made her, for the first time she can remember, be actually scared because we are Jewish.

I'm scared that a "role model" for much of our country gets a free pass from 40% of the country when he admits to sexually abusing women...and that concerns me about the future of women across this nation. How they will be treated, what rights they will or will not have.

I'm scared that we have devolved as a nation to hate mongering based upon memes that can be directly traced back to Nazi propoganda and that mongering is being led and incited by one of our two Presidential nominees.

I'm scared that we have someone who has admitted he "doesn't know why we don't use nukes" since we have them... and this guy is a narcissistic and unstable man that seemingly would stop at no lengths to appease his personal ego and need for gratification.

I'm scared for probably another dozen plus reasons, it's less than a week from election day, and literally the rest of my life and the quality of that life in terms of freedom and equality for all hinges on whether we pick a career politician with all the ugly warts that sadly come with it, anointed by the Dems as the next chosen one, regardless of her legitimate issues (policy choices, shady establishment type dealings) or the illegitimate but from a PR perspective can't be ignored issues (how four terrible deaths in benghazi somehow become worse than, I don't know, dozens ... hundreds of operations overseas with the false pretense for invading Iraq to Beirut just a couple) or a megalomaniac that taps into the lowest common denominators of fear mongering, nationalism, sexism and racism.

So yes, you could say I've reached my boiling point.  Especially since neither of those two are my candidate of choice in this race.  I see Bill ####### Weld in all his moderate Republican logical approach that seems to emanate from a person of true humanity, then I look at Clinton and I get angry... I then look at Trump and the pot boils over.

I have no idea if this is true, but a lot of people are saying Dodds sold the FBG mailing list to Steve Bannon to support his drug habit.
Good people. Smart people. These people know things.  Oh, and the things they know.  It's horrible I tell you.  What these people know.  A disgrace just a terrible disgrace.  Because what these people are saying is true.  So true.  And it's sad.

why do I think that any answer to your questions will be met with the action on your aviator?

could be wrong of course.

A good case for getting a medical marijuana card, imo.

Sure.  Trump's campaign is the subject of a federal investigation into ties to Russian hacking efforts (none directly linking Trump thus far but investigation is ongoing).  Also, Trump IS currently under investigation, by the NY Attorney General, for fraud related to his charity.  And don't forget that Trump was not only investigated by the Justice Department previously for racial discrimination, but that unlike Clinton that investigation actually resulted in a decision to litigate, in this case a civil liability lawsuit that Trump eventually settled but then was dragged back into court by Justice for violating the terms of the settlement (basically, still discriminating).

If your criteria is "which candidate has been the subject of fewer law enforcement investigations," the winner is Hillary Clinton by a landslide.
Time frame?

I'm not sure most people are defending her per se but pointing out that Trump is way more dangerous and way worse of a human being.

Dodds will let 650 million rapists and drug dealers cross our borders and poison our gene pool in the first week of Crooked Hillary's presidency so he can pay a little less for heroin.  Sad.  So selfish.  What a disaster.

While any legit information uncovered, even by unsavory means, need be acknowledged, the FERVOR with which folks are actively pulling form information that has been proven to be disseminated for no other reason than to interfere with our election is, honestly, disgusting.

I remember when we used to stand on common ground against forces looking to undercut our national interests and security... not a time like now, when partisans will let loose the floodgates of that very behavior so long as it serves their personal political agenda.

Honestly, this is maybe one of the greatest and most sad and impactful takeaways I have from this election.  Seriously, we used to stand together against this ####... now a third of the nation is actively encouraging it.  Please don't feed me any bull####, EVER, about being Patriotic.  Not when you have been so clearly aligned with Party not only above nation, but at the expense of it.

I would, in a million years, never would have guessed that the right would be pro-russia

Sex rings are popular in all governments, but pedophilia is primarily in British parliament & Saudi Arabia, and that’s why HRC and BC love foreign donors so much. They get paid in children as well as money. Dig deep and you can find it. It will sicken you.

huh? I've literally engaged in thousands of discussions on these boards... while at times I've certainly gone overboard with emotion and getting wound up, I've also quite literally changed my position on certain items as I've learned from others here.

But I can't learn (nor can others) if we disingenuously bull#### about rather than engage in a constructive dialogue.

They are pro-right wing.  They are pro-Republican.  They are pro-Nationalism.

Even if that means pro-russia to serve those underlying priorities.  Nationalism and selfish pride above nation and sense of community.

I'm done.  Apologies most of all for you folks that had to read through the dribble (honestly).  Frustrations got the best of me, sorry.
To be honest, your back and forth with Ramblin Wreck isn't any worse than reading people trying to argue that Clinton > Trump or Trump > Clinton.

And I can't believe I now have two posts in this thread.

To me, it all comes down to who could do the most damage to my country.

Would it be a vile, venal, piece of #### or would it be a  corrupted shill for the oligarchy

I cannot think of anyone who could do more harm to my country than Hillary Clinton.
Then you have a very limited imagination.

Tweets from the First Lady are signed –mo.

You're move
Not sure what kind of hair splitting your going for here. Dodds didn't claim that Obama only deleted the posts that were signed by her. Dodds claimed that Obama erased ALL mentions of Hillary.

I mean, come on. If I wanted to be an anal-retentive DB, then I could have said "Technically, there's no proof that Michelle Obama personally deleted those posts!" But I'm smart enough not to be that obtuse.

At least they are trying to argue something. I'm not sure the following is even trying, at least not on one participant's behalf.

Q. Mind clarifying your position?

A. :lmao:

Q. So, what actual facts or basis do you have for your claims?

A. :lmao:

Q. Actually according to (and list facts, basis, links) what you say is clearly incorrect.  Again, can you clarify your position or point me to something more than a flippant worthless response that only proves there's nothing behind what few words you actually use?

A. :lmao:

Two weeks ago the main talking point from the Left was that Trump's suggestion (and any suggestion) that the election is rigged is beyond the pale and a danger to the integrity to our system.

This week's main talking point from the Left appears to be that James Comey is trying to rig the election.

So what happened to that moral stand about election rigging talk being beyond the pale?

I don't think Michelle, or the Office of the First Lady, deleted any tweets....

That's from June, 2013.  The first lady hasn't mentioned Hillary Clinton in 40 months?
Her tweets are almost entirely non-controversial as far as I can tell.  There's nothing in there about hot-button issues or candidates.  That's probably why the ones that have been hotlinked here mentioning Clinton are about feel-good stuff like women's conference awards and healthy kids. Go through the @FLOTUS account recently and see how much you find about any election/candidates or anything controversial.  I just wasted three minutes (emphasis on wasted) scrolling back to mid-summer and didn't see one.

In fact this is the first tweet of fitting that description that I found, although it's possible I missed something:

The First Lady@FLOTUS Jul 28
So moved and so inspired by that powerful speech from our next President! #ImWithHer and I am fired up and ready to go. -mo
This is an exceptionally stupid discussion/theory.  You're better than this.

Again you apologize and say you are done and you keep repeating yourself over and over and over and over. Sorry but it's  :lmao:
