My wife and I both ended up voting for Clinton today in Charlotte.  Neither are very happy about it.  Personally, my eyes were more drawn to the Tim Kaine part of the ballot, her impeachment would not be shocking (nor would Trump's).  Never has lesser of two evils been more apt.

On a positive note, it was my wife's first time voting at my insistence.  Her family only became citizens when she was in high-school age so they never really voted or cared.  It is good that she gets the satisfaction of voting against this horrible governor (McCrory) to wash down the turd sandwich.

- Well that's just great. I don't think I can take the tension. I think I'm going to a movie, go out for some exercise, or maybe just get hammered, I don't think I can handle watching the tv Tue night.
I found something more fun to do on Tuesday night - I'll be sitting in a class learning a discounted cash flow program for 3 hours.

Yes. The ability to be right about fantasy football is rather independent from the ability to be right about politics.

Just today I came across this really good article, which explains things quite well, I think. To use the analogy featured in the article, someone who sells fantasy football advice commercially will have a strong incentive to adopt evidence-based beliefs and reject unsupported beliefs based on merit. When it comes to politics, though, nearly all of us will generally adopt or reject beliefs based on cronyism. (And that includes even those of us whose crony political beliefs happen to also be evidence-based and accurate.)

Read the article. Did I mention that it's really good?
That's a fair point and a good article. Ok, I was certainly disappointed, but I also understand what you're saying. Thanks for taking the time, Maurile.

Facts have a known liberal bias. Snopes always gives a link or links to what they are investigating, so you can verify it yourself if you question their conclusions.

And what was snopes specifically wrong about in anything they said here O'Keefe?
Snopes is bs.  I'm pretty sure we saw solid evidence of vote fraud discussions in those videos.  That's why they fired those crooked scumbags!

Thank you for caring about this country enough to vote for her.  It's not easy.

This quote always comes to mind when I think about doing it:

"The night of the election, you may feel a slight sting. That's pride ####### with you. #### pride. Pride only hurts, it never helps."

Well, the good news is, I don't think we've hit rock bottom just yet.  Thought we might have with Clinton vs Trump, but based on the crazy out there, I still think there is room to dig.  So, if that's the case maybe the Greens and Libertarians can get it together for the next ####show in four years.
And accomplish what exactly? Steal a state or two and throw the election to a House even more divided than we are? Cause THEY are certain to choose the third party guy with 25 EVs over the established Dem/GOPer with 260.

If you want viable third party candidates, you're first move isn't to vote for them now...it's to start or join grass-root efforts designed to change the Constitution.

It will be like the ultimate reality show, except it won't be a show.

The future of this country playing out in real time as the returns come in - and there is much more at stake than usual.

How could you or any political junkie miss it?
Yeah we'll see when tire hits road. Usually a big night for me. I love election day, I feel very proud as an American. I won't early vote, I go in the Day Of. Always do. We'll see. Good luck, and I mean that.

O'Keefe refuses to release the full length unedited videos of the interviews, so we don't have solid evidence of anything until he does, just selectively edited videos with responses taken out of context, with the viewer having no idea what was really discussed or asked before the edited answer is shown.

I hate both candidates.  I will be making my decision simply based on one criteria...maintaining a conservative SCOTUS...as such I will be voting for Trump.  I hate myself.  If it was Kaine or Sanders I would be voting democratic, but they are not and I can't be sure of a Clinton impeachment.

Preaching to the choir....thanks for the support

'On a table nearby there was a row of little spoons - no one had touched them, because no one knew what they were for. [Wilson] gave two spoons to Gaga and Marina . . . and Gaga dipped the spoon right between the artist's legs, and took a sip.'    :oldunsure:

They're scooping syrup from between a model's legs.  That's art man!!

Donald should be attending these types of parties instead of beauty contests.

Good quote... but the person it was being said to ended up doing the opposite of what he was being told to do. In fact, he rode off into the sunset with his woman as the final scene of the movie (timeline wise).

I love all the people reading a guy's stolen personal correspondence then passing judgement on him.

That said Podesta is Paul Giamatti in Billions.  I don't mind that.

I like the "I'm grossed out by this and it's super weird so I can't be art, it's gotta be Satan" crowd. Keep on rocking on guys.

I voted by absentee ballot this year for the first time (not that it makes a difference for Hillary in California). Missed 2012 being out of town on election day and didn't want to take the chance that happened again (although it turned out there were no scheduling issues).

This is so freaking stupid.

The Obama-Voter/Non-Voter will cost her most. I just don't see the faithful turning out to vote for her like they did for Obama. He made people trek to the polls who hadn't voted in decades.

If those people cared one iota about the things he accomplished then they need to go vote for Hillary.  Trump can overturn every executive order his first day in office.

Good quote... but the person it was being said to ended up doing the opposite of what he was being told to do. In fact, he rode off into the sunset with his woman as the final scene of the movie (timeline wise) . . . shortly after the person who said it was sodomized in a basement.
Fixed.

I bet if you saw John Podesta drinking a fresh pint of semenblood, you would be posting.  "There is no way to verify that wasn't V-8 and milk.  It may be part of the performing arts anyways."

He's taking

Arizona (11), Florida (29), Nevada (6), Nebraska 2nd Congressional District (1),  North Carolina (15),

Colorado (9), Michigan (16), Pennsylvania (20),
Agree with the top 5, Florida will be close as always.  Don't see him getting all if any of the bottom 3.

Probably one of dumbest analogies in the history of this forum. O'Keefe videos are real but are of no validity until the full unedited interviews are released, as proven by the ACORN tapes where O'Keefe edited in fake footage of him dressed as a pimp and Giles dressed as a hooker, along with questions dubbed in over what was actually asked to give a completely misleading impression of the answer.

I'm going to get hammered Tuesday all day and watch TV Tuesday night as Rome burns.  You know you will watch though...welcome back my friends to the show that never ends, step in side, step in side.

Your smart move is to try to invoke subtle yet constant change in one of the established parties.  To that, one could make the argument that that is what has happened over the past 8 years in the Republican Party and its shell/infrastructure has been taken over by a Third Party candidate.

Seriously, at the end of the day...who thinks Trump is going to govern as a tried and true Conservative?
