Marcus Stroman is 4'11". Actually true.

Edwin has a 21 game hit streak, 26 home runs, a 265/354/515 slash line, and no one ever talks about him anymore because Donaldson/Tulo/Price/Bautista/Martin.

So,

If Stroman is indeed healthy enough to be recalled to pitch, do you disrupt this rotation and remove Hutch, or put him in the pen?

I do not disrupt anything, and he gets the pen for now

The rotation had already been "disrupted" by Hutch getting sent down so I don't see a difference in replacing him with Stroman.

I certainly don't want to see Hutchinson start on the road again till next year.

If Stroman pitches like he did last year, is like to see a 3 man playoff rotation of him, Price and Estrada/Dickey (road/home).

Revere leading off, Tulo hitting 5th today. I don't love it but I get it, given their performances since coming to Toronto.

Re: Stroman, if he gets back with enough time to prove he's the player he was last year, you give him as many innings as possible.

Was Gose this dumb when he was in Toronto? 3 ####### plays in 2 days quite impressive.

For as well as this offence is going, the D has been just as good.

I feel like Gose was likely one of the guys who was moved in order to improve the clubhouse.

I always go back to this with curiosity:

Gone in the many changes from last year were not necessarily any real problems, but one player who could be categorized by others as "a bit selfish," another as "occasionally mopey" and a third as "a clubhouse lawyer."
Selfish = Gose

Mopey = Rasmus, presumably, maybe Lind.

Clubhouse lawyer = Lind or Janssen.

Lawrie could be in the mix, I suppose, but was always said to be a good clubhouse guy when he was here.

Was listening to Jeff Blair on At the Letters podcast and he made an amazing point about this lineup - no one is really having a major outlier season offensively.

Bautista, EE, Martin, Smoak, and Revere are all around their recent norms.

Tulo is well below his regular numbers.

Pillar and Goins are what you see is what you get.

Donaldson is likely having his peak season but he was already incredible and maybe it's Rogers Centre affect.

Colabello is the one who is clearly outperforming any rational expectations but he's now a part time player.

Which is to say, if EE/Bautista can hold off a sharp decline, no reason to think this isn't repeatable.

Buehrle throwing 80-82 yesterday, even slower than usual, talking about "battling" and "dead arm", this is all setting the stage for OMIGOD, THAT'S MARCUS STROMAN'S MUSIC#!##!, right?

Does it make up for being 14th, 17th, 23rd, 25th, and 26th in attendence the past five years? Surprised you had to buy a bunch of extra tix to ensure you get playoff tickets, seems like they were almost free a month ago for a non bandwagon guy like yourself.

Also your obsession with Matt Boyd is frightning. He may have to get a restraining order at this rate. You seem a lot more worried about Anthony Gose and Matt Boyd than you are...you know, the guys on your team. Kinda funny.

Eta: Go Yankees?

I just like being right. I told you Boyd blows. You don't need to get all upset because you thought his AAA stats meant he had a chance against MLB hitters. We'd seen him for a few years and knew what he was.

I was at the game yesterday. Lots of fun, never in doubt right from the first inning. Estrada had a strange start, wasn't getting hit but not throwing a lot of strikes either.

Will be curious to see how Stroman does in AAA today and what that means for the rotation going forward. You would think Price/Dickey/Stroman is their best bet right now.

Oh like you were about Snider, Rasmus, and Morrow?

Does Stroman stick in the rotation if he looks good Saturday or is this a spot start? I need a HTH playoff pitcher and the other choices are terrible.
