As long as you pre-order before the release date(April 24th) you can get the $9.99 rate.If you buy it on April 24th or later you will have to pay the $14.99 rate.

1. Yes.. only thing I'm a little <_< of is you can fall off a 100 foot cliff and, although you will get a "run through molasses in -20 weather" character movement as punishment for 30 seconds, there is no real damage to you.2. Unknown.. They are planning right now to open something like 10 servers on the first day. They Stress tested the crap out of the servers. They would close all the servers but one and make everyone log into that one for a weekend to see how many peeps could be on before problems got real bad. Hopefully they learned enough from those stress test weekends to tweak what they need.3. No PVP.. You can challenge others to a duel, but other than a "Beat your chest and yell I WON!!" I don't think you get anything for it.

Go to Gamestop. Give the dude a $5 spot and tell him you want to preorder LOTRO. Of course, if you want to buy it, it will cost retail, but this way you can reserve the cheaper price and get in on the Open Beta for a month.

I really hope this game is good. I have loved LOTR since I was in the 5th grade and read the trilogy for the first time. I have probably read through it 5 times since then.

My interest in WoW faded fairly quickly. It never really grabbed me. I still have another couple of months in my subscription, so I will try here and there, but alas, I won't go beyond that.BTW - Talked to my mom the other day and she is really pushing for me to come back out to Ohio this summer/fall to head up your way and do a golfing trip. I told her we need to add one to our group for the breakfast at Boyd's and round of golf.

Darn it, you guys are going to make me go out and get the game ETA: Gator Shawn, you had mentioned last fall that you may be heading up to the Pro Football Hall of Fame this spring. Any plans to do this??

I like the ability to attack at anytime. I want to play a mmo that let's you have the freedom to do anything. A entire world of death match. UO pre T2A but with better graphics. Lootable housing, no blessed items, and the ability to control towns or areas.
I know this doesn't appeal to the masses, but it's what I like so....

This thing has been updating the code for hours....slow connection I guess tons of people downloading code.
Seriously, we need to plan this out. What world, what combinations of classes. I usually play rogues or straight tanks in these sorts of games. I'm not usually one to worry about spells scrolls and stuff.
