But if you got a beta invite to a item that looks like WOW upside down, then yes, I've gotten it.

This was a must-register-for type thing that you got to from the Unlock the MoM website.I'm gonna have to see if I can remember the password to the gmail account that I used to register with LOTRO.

to Amish boy for the help last night. Will try to crit that ring for you. BTW - we need to get you further on the books. There is great loot that you will use to be had. Shield, cloak, shoulders, necklace, etc.

You gonna be around Saturday night? Maybe we can get you into book 12 then.to Amish boy for the help last night. Will try to crit that ring for you. BTW - we need to get you further on the books. There is great loot that you will use to be had. Shield, cloak, shoulders, necklace, etc.

Cool. Book 12 goes pretty fast as you saw last night. If you know what you are doing (and now you do) there is no big challenge there. Book 11 really only requires help for 1 part, but a fellow can make it go a bit faster.Book 11 final reward is a great necklace that is a keeper. There is a great shield you will like as you finish book 10, I believe it is. Maybe book 12 - might be 12.3. Calenglad's shield. There are some great rewards for a hunter (earring is still on my Tare) but book 12 features some very nice shoulders and the cloak you will never take off at the end. Book 13 end reward has a nice sword you might keep a while. Book 14 has some teal shoulders at the end.Overall, some great loot to be had here and there in books 11-14.ETA- I will not be on tonight or tomorrow due to wife time and a father-son campout Friday to Saturday.Should be on sometime between 9 - 10 EST. gonna try and get some Kinmates to run through book 11 either tonight or tomorrow night. You gonna be around Saturday night? I am done with books for Minsc, Garyth and Tare - just need to get Coachjim through 13.6 and beyond. I gotta say that the fact that they changed 14.6 to have all those elites in the tomb in Bree barrows vs it being empty is kinda teh suck. It's like they saw it empty and went the other way entirely with too much for a single stupid quest.Luckily, Coach has the minstrel play dead scroll from Forochel still, so the goal will be to run through the tomb with all the aggro, then hit the scroll, mez the boss wight in there, grab teh stuff and port out.If you do book 11 Friday night and I'm on, shoot me a tell. Gwaran is on 11.7, and I would love to get him through that. I will be at school tonight, so won't be on till late (after 10p) if at all. I'd love to help beyond that as well, just let me know.

Well let's get you moving then.I'll be around this weekend as well, but I'm still on book 10.

Gotta love LM, ya know?Finished book 11 earlier, now on 12.3 (couldn't quite solo Ein and her adds, although I did make it to her solo.)
I will be on later tonight to help anyone with books if they want.Except that was on my guard. On my LM, I could have taken Ein, I think.Mad Cow said:Gotta love LM, ya know?Maelstrom said:Finished book 11 earlier, now on 12.3 (couldn't quite solo Ein and her adds, although I did make it to her solo.)I will be on later tonight to help anyone with books if they want.
The adds can make that fight a bit more challenging, though. It would be hard to burn Ein down when the adds get close and heal and stuff. Plus, I think they do not wait for the previous ones to die, either. You can have 4-8 of them if you take too long to burn Ein.Except that was on my guard. Just finished this up last night, and you're right - you'd have to figure out a strategy for the adds. I don't know if you could do enough damage to get her down before you get too many to keep CCed, so you'd probably have to CC her (root?), and take out the adds. The adds can make that fight a bit more challenging, though. It would be possible to duo her but I cannot see it solo'd. Adds would spawn too fast to burn her down. I think most of the content is going to be from 50-60 in MoM, so you'd probably need to finish leveling to 47+ to really experience a lot of the new content. I don't know if any of the new areas will be for lower levels, but I dont' think so. What level are you now?BTW, I think this weekend is a bonus-xp weekend to help people level up faster (25% bonus) and anyone with a previous subscription can play, even if the subscription has lapsed:What would be the level requirement for the MOM expansion? Is this something that those of us who jumped out a while back could do if we came back now?
From October 2-6, 2008, we're offering free LOTRO access to our former players, and +25% bonus experience gain on mob kills* for everyone who logs in and plays. Returning players are invited to patch up, jump in, and start playing on their old characters to get them ready for Moria!
AmishBoy,Made your friend a complete set of lvl 42 hvy armour and 2 lvl 42 weapons this AM. He should be set for a while. Seems like a cool guy.ETA if he needs a new shield, let me know. I did not even think to make one of those.

Finally finished up 14.15 with Tare last night, so done with books for him, Minsc and Garyth. On 14.6 with Coach. I just need to see if I can muster up the patience to do that Laerdan session again.AmishBoy,Made your friend a complete set of lvl 42 hvy armour and 2 lvl 42 weapons this AM. I guess that means we'll miss you on Left 4 Dead?
Finished up through 14.15 on Coach last night, so almost done.Where did you fail 14.6? It is fairly simple leading up to the last area. Do not fight everything - sneak around what you can or it will take forever. In the last area when Amarthiel says something about how her men will take Narchuil, pop your heal. Wait for the melees to run to you, pop the elf stun and then proceed to run around the circle until you can heal and stun again, then run around again until time elapses. I tried actually fighting twice and said screw it. Easier to just endure that session.I tried 14.6 last night and failed it, any secrets? Finally finished up 14.15 with Tare last night, so done with books for him, Minsc and Garyth. On 14.6 with Coach. Should get me to 51 and beyond a lot faster. ETA that is for Tare only; only have about 10 or so on each other toon.Well the story PvE is 2nd to none in any MMO, IMO. Fantastic job with the story and staying in lore. Will add more shortly - gotta do some work.I have played WoW limited, Guild Wars a lot and LOTRO. I prefer LOTRO head and shoulders over the others. The players tend to be much more mature. The graphics are gorgeous and smooth. Population depends on server. FBG's are on Gladden and it tends to be lower. However, Gladden is also the server of choice for Aussies, so you have about a 30% chance of grouping with someone with an Aussie accent, which is actually pretty fun.It seems to be very well supported. Sure, there are issues here and there but they make strides to correct. Mines of Moria is the first expansion, but since release, there have been NUMEROUS content additions adding huge areas of land and hundreds of quests, etc. If you want a trial key, PM me your email and I will send one right away. We can set you up and show you around, of you like. For those of us that hate Turbine with a passion and have not read anything at all about LotRO ... can you please provide a very brief synopsis of this game?Worth playing? Pros/consPopulation?Well supported by developers?Quality of patches/expansions?Outlook for the future? Thanks! For reference, I was a 2 year WoW player that could never commit to raiding but enjoyed world PvP when it was available. Not a fan of instanced PvP. Enjoy storytelling in PvE, but not long continuous time commitments beyond, say, 2 hours for a single task. I can commit to long periods of time playing the game, but not without the ability to break if needed. I hate Turbine for what they did with AC2 and swore never to patronize them thereafter, but the MMO market sucks right now.
This is what sets LotRO apart IMO.The players tend to be much more mature. The graphics are gorgeous and smooth.
