**** OFFICIAL **** LOST - The TV Series (1 Viewer)

I noticed the childlike quality of it during the show. Is it possible someone on Roussau's crew brought there child and she never told us about it, then quarantined the kid underground (e.g. "I'm sick").
There's some sort of tally there. It reminds me of a prisoner counting the days he's been in jail, but I'm not sure a sick kid locked in a vault would do that.

There is also a picture of an eye, with the letter "M" and SICK next to it... I AM SICK (saw that posted somewhere else.)

Is there any significance to the number 108 written in the picture of the Sun (besides the obvious...108 is the sum of the numbers)?

That was so obvious that I had to pull out my calculator to confirm...

My original thought was "Alex" = Desmond, but accent threw me off the trial. That's not to say the French womens husband was English/Irish rather than French, hence the accent. Also, notice the couting (IIII). Counting what?
Some have 6 slashes IIIIIETA it is (Picture of eye) M SICK

(HULK) see Lock(e) next to arrow in mural.
I don't think that's a Lock(e), but a house, of which there are three.
Look roof of house. Look like lock to (HULK).(HULK) no dress like :nerd: (HULK) see what there! :boxing:
This (HULK) character is bright. The roof of the one house is clearly different than that other two houses.I think we need more (HULK) insight in this thread.

Ok, some potential spoilers here so I'll white them out.

The clone theory is dead on.....

When Desmond gave Jack the drink, he wasn't just giving him a drink he was taking a DNA sample to clone him.  We will see Desmond's interactions with the other survivors as well.....each time he will have some way of gathering a DNA sample.
I'm a couple pages behind, so forgive me if this has been addressed.First, I don't see these as spoilers...these are theories, so I'm not going to white out my response. A spoiler is a piece of info that has a reasonable chance of being true, not just something we think may happen. If people don't want to hear theories, why are they reading this?

I watched Jack drink from the bottle and he never touched the bottle to his lips--he squirted the water into his mouth. Only his hands touched the bottle. I'm no scientist, but can you extract DNA from sweat? I thought saliva and blood were the best sources.
I agree on the spoiler / theory distinction.A problem with Desmond as a clone idea is the verbal consistency with "Brother" - I know that isn't the whole clone idea, but some people have been talking about Desmond and the hatch guys being clones. I think "Brother" rules it out.
 The implanted memory theory would solve this.....they share memories up to let's say 28 years of age.

Again I posted it as a spoiler due to it being supported by off show material, i.e. the script, the clip, the numbers background etc. But I'm fine with either, I was just trying to be considerate to those who didn't want to hear such things.
Ah - I hadn't read the spoiler you were referencing, so I didn't know this was based on that stuff. You were right to white it, I think.

It was obvious because it was mentioned somewhere else in this thread. Sorry... no link.

(HULK) also see white rock on table
Really? I'm not seeing it.......also, do you have to TYPE like the Incredible Hulk? Playing the role gets a little annoying after a while.
Is white. Is round. Is on left of table.(HULK) not smart. No type like regular people, get angry when type big words.

Big words....?Inconclusive....I would say its a flourecent Illuminating device.

The schtick is groing old, Bruce.

9. Vincent (odd they used him as a reason to drag a character into the jungle again)
Not really - Vincent's link is to Michael - knew Vincent had sensed Michael was in the jungle the minute he turned up missing.

I think the most interesting part of that mural is the word "sick". Combined with the quarantine, Desmond shooting himself up with something, and French ladies people all dying on her - it may lend more credence to the medical research theory floating around.

slow down, I started reading this thread 2 hours ago and now its grown another 6 pages.....I need to catch up

since I am only on page 15, I don't know if this has been stated yet but people were concerned about the timeline of Jack meeting Desmond then him being on the island for 16 yrs. But, why do we have to assume he showed up the same time as Rosseau, maybe he has only been there a few years or less?

now slow this thing down until I catch up
this sort of makes me wonder. shouldn't Rousseau know about either or both the batch and its inhabitant(s)? if that's the case, why is she living in the bush instead of the more hospitable hatch?

Boone and Locke walked right over the hatch without noticing it buried under the brush. Only when they dropped the flashlight did they realize something was there.

1. The Numbers' meaning
I posted this in the Lost 2.0 thread. Probably too mundane to be the answer, but i thought it was interesting...
over at one of the forums someone has archived the stuff that has been out there on that site and else where. The person has a nice summary compilation of things as well. Worth checking out.

Interesting find there. The latitude 4.815 and longitude 162.342 are located in the Pacific ocean northeast of Australia (4,8,15,16,23,42).
MapQuest link for those coordinates. You'll want to zoom out.

Was that  , as in "hey... I didn't know that was there", or  , as in "DAMN! They found the hatch"?

No offense meant to you with this comment, but that would be a huge disappointment.

agreed
The location makes sense, but I have a feeling there's something more to it than that...Also, if the Black Rock was a slave ship, HTF did it end up in the middle of the pacific ocean?

I count 29 tick marks. 108 is written twiceI see an angry, amphibian-looking thing at the tip of the arrow. I see 13 people...expected that to match one of the numbers.I also count 13 rays from the Sun.Could just be overanalyzing it.I really wonder if the numbers are tied to the periodical chart...being on the bottle seems to tie them to chemicals...I'll have to do more research on this.
