What kinda medical equipment you figure is in the hatch (if any).Any chance this is a tease and Jack performs surgery on her? Looked like she got shot in the gut. I think saving her would be disappointing.ETA:Aside from the brief flashback, I think this is the first episode without Jack.

They teased killing her off last season too but then we found it was just a boone hallucination...itll happen again.
 
No Jack or Kate this episode. No computer in awhile either, no hatch either.So, who is dead?Cindy, Sawyer, or Shannon?The commercials NEVER said somebody "died" the commercials said someone would be "lost."Right now Cindy fits the bill here.

I got the impression that Shannon saw Walt but that Sayid didn't. It looked like they tried to show us his perspective and I thought Walt wasn't there. Anyone else?

I agree, I think he told her he saw Walt just to keep her calm.
 
Anyone know what they were whispering in the jungle? I think we need someone who had the show captioned to figure this out. Get the Germans on this ASAP.

Someone speculated on one of the message boards that he's speaking backwards due to the fact that there is different space in a time warp that distorts his speech, only he just doesn't know it. He is trying to warn the survivors.

Disagree. They both saw Walt in the jungle.
 
If anybody didn't see the two groups running into each other, you're slipping...The folliage was similar, it started raining at the same time, and when they both heard the voices - you knew they were bound to bump into one another...Now the question is did Sayad know the dyke hispanic chick. Is she a terrorist? Who knows....

I think they do, and I'm pretty sure I know how, based on the way Anna was doing "something" at the end of the episode.
 
There was other whispering in the jungle besides Walt though. It was similar to the whispering Sayid heard in season 1. I know there is no way Icould decipher it with my hearing. Anyone have close captioned on last night. The back half of plane also heard whispering. Was it the same whispering :confused: Awesome show last night.

 
While I couldn't make out the whispers, the Tailies and Shannon and Sayid were hearing the same thing. Previous whispers seemed to be 2 people speaking about telling the survivors something. It'll be interesting to see what these ones were.The whispers they heard in the jungle were completely different than what Walt was saying.What previews did you guys get Stateside? We often get different previews here in Canada, so I'm just wondering.The preview I saw, showed footage of the tail end survivors just after they crashed. It looked like kids were being dragged away, mostly at night. I think I also saw Mr. Echo walking with his arms around two small white kids.Great episode last night.

I agree with this. The only difference is that Sayid recognized Walt giving the International SIgnal for ####, while Shannon did not.

I agree, it looked like from Sayid's glare that he was looking at Walt. He didn't have a "WTF are you looking at", he had a "WTF is Walt doing here" look.At this point, however, I can't tell if Walt was trying to bait or help Shannon. I understand what he said at first in the tent, but think about this:

1) Walt tells Shannon to be quiet. While at first glance this might seem to be smart if Walt thinks the Others are around, if Shannon yells "Walt", there is a good chance that Michael/Jin hears her and tells Anna not to shoot.

2) Walt doesn't stay still or disappear, he runs and thus Shannon runs right into where Anna is and gets shot.

What do you guys think? Based on how scared Mr. Echo was of a group of children, why is it a stretch to think Walt hasn't been turned?

I definitely missed that. It looked to me like Sayid was beyond angry and that Anna realized that in all her trying to be macho and self-preserving, she had just shot and killed someone that wasn't an Other. The rest of my thought is based on some pictures that people may not have seen:
There were pictures of Anna that showed that she was a police officer, so even though they are in a different scenario, what she did was akin to shooting some girl walking on the street because she thought a criminal was coming that way.

Anyway, I always liked Sayid and I hope he understands why Anna accidentally did that and avoids turning into an evil guy with a vendetta.

He could have meant "they" as in Micheal, Sawyer, and Jin.
 
There has been some speculation on whether or not AL shot Shannon based on the size of the wound....Looks more like a knife/machete wound....

We heard a shot fired and when they cut to her AL was pointing the obviously discharged weapon in Shannons direction.
