They’re Netflix shows. I would guess they’ll stay there for a while. I don’t think they’ll sell them Disney. Will they keep the episodes they have out on Netflix for a period of time or will they eventually go away?

I just started re-watching this last weekend with my 12 year old who is a big marvel fan but had not seen it. I forgot how violent it was. Still, at 12, I think he can handle it. We are about halfway through season 1. I had totally forgotten about the Hawkeye connection so we were bothMay be time for a re-watching of this entire series.
at the ending last night. Marvel is awesomeI remember being rather shocked with Kingpin crushes that guys head in the car door and thinking, "yeah, this show isn't OK for kids to watch".I just started re-watching this last weekend with my 12 year old who is a big marvel fan but had not seen it. Not sure about that, the actors and their characters will likely be in the MCU going forward but their origins and backstories in the series aren't canon for MCU and won't be carried over.May be time for a re-watching of this entire series.
Lighten up, Francis. Not sure about that, the actors and their characters will likely be in the MCU going forward but their origins and backstories in the series aren't canon for MCU and won't be carried over.

As long as its Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio playing the roles, it is the same character no matter what they choose to reference.
Makes no sense to me to re-watch a show where nothing from it plays any part in the MCU going forward. Nothing in their interactions or their story will be carried forward. The issues with Froggy or Karen or literally anything will be carried forward.I get what you are saying.Makes no sense to me to re-watch a show where nothing from it plays any part in the MCU going forward. Agree on that 100%! Charlie Cox, Vincent D'Onofrio and Jon Bernthal are perfectly cast. Krysten Ritter is an ok casting.I get what you are saying.
I'm just excited about the characters again....don't feel like I need to gain any knowledge or backstory or anything....just a celebration that they are finally acknowledging the Netflix Marvel world in the MCU.

Cautiously optimistic. Last I read none of the original shows writers are involved. So I’ll give it a chance for sure but expectations are low given how disappointing (IMO) most of the MCU D+ shows have been so far.
I thought they have all been good to excellent so far, the fact that its the original actors I have faith they will knock it out of the park again. Don't forget, based on reviews, most only loved DD and Punisher. JJ, Luke Cage were meh for a lot of folks, and most downright hated Iron Fist. Defenders was somewhere between watchable and meh for most all.To each their own, which is why I said IMO. I’ve only thought Loki and WandaVision were really good myself. I enjoyed Hawkeye. The rest have been meh to outright bad (FatWS was downright terrible, once again, IMO.) And WV was kind of completely rendered pointless by MoM. The D+ Star Wars shows have been equally disappointing as well other than parts of Mando. If I wasn’t getting D+ for free I’d probably have cancelled it by now (I don’t have kids.)Cautiously optimistic. Last I read none of the original shows writers are involved. I personally loved all but Iron Fist, thought it was ok.
What do you mean - MoM was directly tied to Wanda Vision? And WV was kind of completely rendered pointless by MoM.
A common complaint about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is that it completely undercuts Wanda’s arc in WandaVision, and the entirety of the Disney+ show. Not everyone agrees with that I know, but I definitely felt that way when I saw Multiverse of Madness. And that’s with the comic knowledge that the Darkhold corrupts everyone who reads it. My wife for example was totally confused on why Wanda was now bad, and while she has no comic knowledge, she did watch AofS season 4 which featured the Darkhold and had to remind her about those episodes and how it corrupts everyone who reads it.What do you mean - MoM was directly tied to Wanda Vision? And WV was kind of completely rendered pointless by MoM.
And they showed her further messing with it at the very end of WV. I kind of liked the twist of her as the villain. And that’s with the comic knowledge that the Darkhold corrupts everyone who reads it.
For sure.Wow....didn't see that coming. I'm a bit shocked.
THEY KILLED FOGGY AND MOVED KAREN TO SF!!!!!!
HOPEFULLY WE SEE MORE OF KAREN THOUGHWord is, the show does not do what you want in your last line. For sure.Wow....didn't see that coming. I'm a bit shocked.
I put this in the MCU thread:

From my understanding, Foggy and Karen were late additions as part of rewrites that happened, I'm willing to bet what we saw int he beginning of Ep1 was the reshoots and they didn't have time to include her in the larger story. Look for her in part 2.
I've liked both episodes but there's been very little Daredevil in Daredevil so far.Yeah this show rocks. First two episodes knocked it out of the park.
That ending of Ep2...![]()
I look at these episodes as a big set up with a payoff at the end of ep2.I've liked both episodes but there's been very little Daredevil in Daredevil so far.Yeah this show rocks. First two episodes knocked it out of the park.

The diner scene dialogue was incredible, and the story is being set up well so I'm not really complaining.
It better, or Disney is about to make the same mistake Netflix made with Daredevil. Unfortunately it would be the same mistake Disney has made with LOTS of other marvel TV projects, which is to go cheap on the superhero stuff. It would be a shame, too, because DD is one of the properties where they can actually get away with a lot lower special effects budget than, say, avengers or even Spider-Man. As mentioned in the MCU thread, too bad they didn't realize this and put a Black Widow series together, which would have been awesome.I look at these episodes as a big set up with a payoff at the end of ep2.I've liked both episodes but there's been very little Daredevil in Daredevil so far.Yeah this show rocks. Ep1 we got 10 minutes of Daredevil, then the remaining episode and first 40 minutes of ep2 was Matt being a lawyer and resisting temptation with the culmination of ep2 being his realization the city needs daredevil and as much as he'd like to solve problems as Matt, it won't work and if he doesn't act people will get hurt.
I fully expect ep3 onward to have a very different ratio of Matt vs DD

I'm in the its very good camp. Not the best MCU show (not even the best Daredevil at this point). Far from "Disney ruined Daredevil".I see a mix between "its great and the best MCU show yet" and "Disney ruined Daredevil". Doesn't seem to be any in between, love or hate...
Sure, hard to top the original, but if it gets close to any of the first three seasons I will be happy.I'm in the its very good camp. A lot online mostly. Could be just trolling but it does seem to be split via love/hate, not much in between.Who said Disney ruined Daredevil?
I like it so far but we need more Daredevil and Kingpin less Yappa Yappa Yappa imo.
Well technically he wasn't in the suit until the end of S1, but he was at least running around in his black mask being DD. Aside from the opening seen he hasn't even been doing that.I guess in the original series we didn’t even get the Daredevil costume until the last episode of the season - so this isn’t uncharted territory.
I really loved the concept and execution of WandaVision and Loki. I agree, if this one can exceed Season 2 and get close to Season 3 of DD, I'll be very happy.Sure, hard to top the original, but if it gets close to any of the first three seasons I will be happy.I'm in the its very good camp. Which D+ do you rate higher?
Thanks. I am with you on these actually. Although MoonKnight and Secret Invasion are on my worst list and I really liked Agatha.I really loved the concept and execution of WandaVision and Loki. I did like the Hawkeye series as well, and What If has been entertaining, but I think this Daredevil has the potential to easily beat those. Not sure if it can top WV and Loki for me though.
Most of the other D+ series have been "pretty good to ok". Falcon and Winter Solider was pretty good. I'm in the small camp that thought SheHulk wasn't as bad as others, putting it in the "ok" camp. MoonKnight was "ok" but really ranked as a disappointment for me as I had high hopes.
I didn't like Echo, and I was massively disappointed in Secret Invasion. For some reason, I've only seen 2 episodes each of Agatha and Ms. Marvel, though I've heard both are good. I just didn't captured by the first few, which is really shocking on Agatha because I loved the character in WandaVision.
I need to get into Agatha, most everyone says it is good and I don't know what I was expecting but I just didn't get hooked immediately. I may have been in a weird moodThanks. Sometimes a character is better as the nosey neighbor than the lead. And It does start off in a weird offshoot of WV kind of way. But does get to be a fun ride once they get into the adventure with some actual good twists and turns.I need to get into Agatha, most everyone says it is good and I don't know what I was expecting but I just didn't get hooked immediately. Yeah I noticed that as well. Thought they were reworking for more DD and less Murdock but guess not. I am hoping it pays off though with the way this ep ended and what should be coming...Here we go again. Another superhero show with 3 episodes in and about 5 minutes of actual, well, super-hero'ing.
Disney: we don't want just another courtroom procedural. Even though the characters are compelling, they have to be super-powered and we need to see them doing super-powered stuff or this will fizzle. Sure it will attract some die-hards but it looks like you're still just trying to do a super hero show on the cheap (aka cash in).
I know when I was a kid I couldn't wait for that day every month when I could finally catch up on Matt Murdock's latest compelling courtroom drama. It was second only to all those edge-of-my-seat moments that Peter Parker spent in study hall, homeroom, and don't forget the cafeteria at lunchtime! It's that kind of deep storytelling that made Marvel the juggernaut that it is today.Yeah I noticed that as well. Thought they were reworking for more DD and less Murdock but guess not.
