****Official Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 **** (1 Viewer)

I'll be meeting Stan Lee for the second time at the Vegas Comic Con in 2 weeks.  Debating what I want to have him sign.  One of the things I had him sign last time was one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Peavey-Marvel-Avengers-Rockmaster-Guitar/dp/B0091DR5FA/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1497305370&sr=8-4&keywords=avengers+guitar+peavey

I got it nicely framed and looks awesome...

And I just saw GOTG vol.2 for the 5th time with my wife this weekend.  IMHO, best line of the movie (without spoiling) references Mary Poppins.

Yep. My kids absolutely love them too.

ETA, anyone who is sick of the Stan Lee cameos should be banned from seeing any Marvel movies for the rest of time and should be stuck watching only DC super hero movies.

did he get a no-prize?
He offered up a couple of "no-Prizes" to anyone who could tell him what the M.M.M.S. stood for...I thought it was a cool idea to tie a few things of marvel history together while he was portraying Stan Lee at school.  He had all his stuff together, including his Marvel Heroes figures, Avengers Marvel Masterworks edition, and even some poster printouts from the 60s/70s showing Marvel characters like Cap, Thing, and Namor.  He did a pretty good job on it.

Finally had time to go see it this past weekend, thought it was awesome. Great sequel to the first which is in my top 3 of marvel films. Story was a little weaker but they amped up the comedy and the tugs on the heartstrings. The :nerd:  in me loved all the cameo's: obvious ones like Stallone, Yoeh, Rhames, Hasselhof, Lee, but also Ben Browder from Farscape. Soundtrack was awesome as usual, always been a huge fan of "Brandy." Wish I could have seen it in 3d.

That sounds very cool

brohans i just finally saw this and the movie literally starts with brandy by looking glass which is the best song of the history of the universe and which is sort of the walk up song for the old swcer you know you guys you could have sent me a messsage or something come on take that to the bank bromigos

I watched this on Blu-Ray last night. Unfortunately, it didn't hold up as well upon 2nd viewing for me. And it felt pretty long.

Bought it last week. Watched with the family on Friday night and loved it, thought it was better than the first, which I really liked. As usual when I buy Marvel movies, the kids had it running on loop almost all weekend. Twice I sat down in the living room with a book ( I can usually shut out the tv while reading), but twice I found myself putting down the book to rewatch GOTG2. Still amazingly fun on the 3rd watch in a weekend.

Held up for me on second viewing. I think I liked the music better the second time. Also think I enjoyed the finale more than I had the first time.

Liked the 1st movie soundtrack way better but maybe after a few dozen viewings Vol. 2 will grow on me as well.

Forgot to say... it's excellent in 3D. One of those movies where you can tell that they laid out camera shots with 3D in mind. Multiple levels of depth in most shots, and some slow camera drift so it stands out.

At the beginning of the movie, just before the fight with the inter-dimensional beast during the opening credits.  Quill checks some scanner and sees the beast is coming.

Look closely and it's a repurposed Mattel Electronics football game from the 1980s. Can still read the faded logo across the top, and has the original buttons and sounds, though the display is different to show the approaching beast.

Great catch!

I assumed he was just making up the bit about it being a scanner and was playing the game.   :P

Noticed that right away in the trailer, loved that game.
