Saw this on twitter and found it interesting

Last night's game was longer than the game time of the entire 1939 #WorldSeries. That year, the Yankees swept the Reds in four games that took a combined 7:05.

I just read a short piece about how Bellinger "redeemed himself" by throwing a dart to the plate in the 10th.

The game shoulda coulda ended in the bottom of the 9th. I get the butterfly effect, but there were two walks after his boneheaded mistake and the bases could have been loaded with one out.   A bad throw 5 feet up the line that improbably still gets Kinsler tagged out does not redeem anything.  Now I'm dead tired and working to finish a project for a Monday deadline before all hell breaks loose in my neighborhood tonight with about 8 Halloween parties.  Had to do the walk of shame this morning, two empty wine bottles into the recycling bin with my family looking on with disapproval.

I’m not gonna do much today. Going to get some mulch then I’m gonna watch the Texas Book Festival on CSPAN 2 until a good CFB Game comes on.

So my flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues (2nd time that’s happened to me in the last 3 months).  If today’s game goes to 15+ innings, I’m so in.  If not, game 5 it is.   :sadbanana:

You not very smart. Dodger Dog was a plain boring dog. Garlic fries were sent by angels.
Shark move is to get them in the 4th-5th inning.  ANytime but before the game.  Everyone else is buying them pregame so they are woefully undercooked to keep the lines moving.

Ive never had one but isn’t it just a regular hot dog that’s a little longer ?
The original Dodger Dog was a Farmer John all beef hot dog.   At some point the Dodgers went with a different company to run concessions, and they went with those roller things to cook the dogs.  For a few years, Dodger Dogs tasted exactly like the hot dog you’d get at a gas station.  After fan outrage they went back to grilled.  They are better than average ballpark hot dogs, but nothing really special.

I read zero articles today about the game.  Was there any talk about Nunez fall into stands being unnecessary and leading directly to the tying run?  Looking through this thread, nobody mentioned it.  I replayed that many times over and am convinced he could've pulled up prior.  His headfirst dive into first was also unnecessary (and dumb) and the fact he needed a trainer after it, for no apparent injury, kind of substantiated his love of the camera.  Even the fall at home was nothing.  But he had to jog both off.  I mean come on.

This play cost the Red Sox the game.

Cora did the correct thing leaving ER in vs Puig. Broadcast mentioned Puig was much better against righties in 2018, but that’s actually been the case his whole career. His slugging % and OPS are both 100 points higher vs righties.

Good to see his time with the Nats taught Madson how to pitch in relief in the postseason.
