The worst thing that can happen for the Bears tonight is Grossman plays well enough against this weak defense to keep his job.
Funny how quick everyone jumped off his bandwagon. I didn't think he'd fall apart but knew he was nothing more than at best a Dilfer, won't-lose-it-for-the-team type.

Chicago allowed 192 rushing yards to the Vikes last week. Sign of things to come with Tommie Harris out or was that a fluke game?

Grossman is the opposite of a caretaker. He's a risk taker, and not a very good one unfortunately.

Something I don't understand...

It seems most teams return kickoffs beyond the 20 yard line the majority of the time. Why not get someone on staff who can consistently just kick the ball in the back of the endzone? Especially against teams like the Bears, Chiefs, Saints who have dangerous return men.

In fact, I doubt you'd even need a specialist. I think most competent kickers can kick a highish line drive to the back of the end zone. Most of the troubles come from the fact that coaches went their kickers to get enough hangtime to allow the coverage team to get down the field. Just make them go 80 yards every time.

Bears are definitely establishing the run tonight instead of letting Grossman run wild with the haymaker deep passes. That's a good sign. Now it hinges on if the Rams have to commit too many defenders to stop the run.
