The Bears are being credit for a sack on the play where the defensive lineman took Bulger's head off and rec'd a 15 yard penalty. Is this normal protocol -- receiving credit for a sack, even though the sack may have been a direct result of an action which resulted in a penalty being called?
ESPN stats has M Anderson with 2 sacks tonight as well.

Look for a good night out of Rex, he'll throw for 2 TD's.
 Great night for the Bears although the D looked to play soft for most of the 2nd half. Rex played well, he really kept himself within the offense and looked to make the smart plays, ie. throwing short passes, screen passes etc. And Devin Hester is unreal. This guy is the real deal. Benson looked good again and T Jones really started to step it up in the 3rd quarter. Bears looked good and hopefully Rex can build on this game as well as the final three to prepare them for the playoffs. The Saints are looking like the real deal so the Bears need to continue to work out the kinks on offense if they want to make it to the big game in February.

How good is rookie Mark Anderson? ... I don't know how many plays he's been in this game, but he's got 2 sacks already (one not recorded because of the personal foul)
Sounds like he's going to get credit for the one he got a penalty on ... at least thats what a few of the people around here seem to think.
