I think being the champs may help the Noles sway a few more big names. Ermon Lane is expected, but I think they may get a few more quality guys.

Pretty odd they don't have South Carolina anywhere for Prince given they are in his stated top 3 and he visited last weekend.

One thing about the Crystal Ball to keep in mind is that some guys submit their vote a few months ago, which is counted...but may be waiting until the final week to change it. They get graded on their votes. So probably nowhere near as accurate an assessment on some guys as it will be early Feb.

UCLA likes their chances for Evans and Dupre. Evans is down to UCLA, auburn, and Alabama. They will both be ash UCLA next weekend.

Thomas eliminated Texas and Ohio State. He's down to Stanford, UCLA and Arkansas.

Nobody has a clue on Adoree, but the west coast guys think he's going to Florida or LSU.

JuJu Smith is going to Southern Cal. Mama probably is, too, but he may go to BYU.

The Florida State baseball team took to the field for their first practice of the season on Friday. Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Jameis Winston was back on the diamond today to start his second season with Mike Martin's club and likely his first as the team's closer.

Winston is also being looked at in another "closer" role this weekend. This time Florida State football head coach Jimbo Fisher is bringing Winston in to "close" on five-star wide receiver Malachi Dupre of New Orleans (La.) John Curtis. Winston will be Dupre's personal host this weekend while he's in Tallahassee on his official visit.

Fisher needs some of Winston's magic if FSU hopes to steal Dupre away from LSU on National Signing Day. Most experts consider LSU to be the favorite to land the Pelican State star.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball for Malachi Dupre reflects the experts sentiments. Of the 47 predictions, 98% have Dupre going to LSU.

With Jameis Winston getting prepared for the upcoming baseball season, his first test as a closer will come this weekend.

Damnit Winston! Stay out of this!

Hopefully Brandon Harris is working it hard from the LSU side. :ninja:

Saban was in-home with Evans last night, and apparently made a big impact on his dad...who talks about how they are focused on getting to the NFL. If it's at LB, UA and UCLA certainly look better than Auburn. I'd still be shocked if he left his home town school.BTW...Humphrey is also making that trip to LA with Evans and Dupree.

@malachidupre visit just started and this one already the best one Kicking it with my boy Jameis

I just took the family to Busch Gardens and saw Willie Taggart and a bunch of USF recruits. Way to close em Willie!

MIAMI, FLA - When your college is located in Tampa, Fla., there are certain aspects of the city that can be taken advantage of during big recruiting weekends.

How many colleges across the country have the ability to put nearly 20 recruits on a three-story yacht in the middle of January? The Bulls did just that last weekend.

"We had a boat provided for us and we just road around and ate," said Miami Northwestern three-star wide receiver JoJo Robinson. "It was fun. The boat had three floors and we sat on top and rode around looking at all the big houses. On the second floor they had music and on the first floor was a big buffet of food."

The Bulls staff utilized all the well-known Tampa landmarks during the weekend. On Saturday they went to Busch Gardens amusement park and ate at Hogan's Beach for dinner. That's right, that's the world famous WWE wrestler Hulk Hogan's restaurant.

"We had dinner at Hulk Hogan's restaurant. It's on a beach, it's nice. We went with all the recruits and players from the team," Robinson said.

The USF staff may not land all the recruits they hosted last weekend, but there is one thing we know for sure, their trip to Tampa was a memorable one.
All Willie T. needs to do is roll his bus down Dale Mabry and park it at Mons Venus or 2001 Odessy.

'It's on the beach' :lmao:

Smart move on Taggert's part playing up the water though. And how do we know what happened after dinner?

Evans cancelled his UCLA trip...I think you can write in AU with pen at this point.

You think he's a lock to Auburn now?

I agree with you that it certainly doesn't look great for UCLA. I think it's a bad sign.

Then again, assuming the family is traveling commercial from Birmingham or Atlanta to LAX, this trip doesn't look feasible. The family wanted him back by noon or so on Saturday for a family party and he also is going to be meeting with Saban and Malzahn. Looking at available flights, his family would have to spend $600+ on a flight alone to arrive no earlier than 7:00 p.m. PT, and then have him hop back on a plane less than 11 hours later and he still wouldn't get back home until about 4:30 p.m. CT. This trip doesn't seem like it had a chance.

I have no sources on anything with his recruitment, but the UCLA writers are all saying that the UCLA staff still feels very good about their chances with him, FWIW. They said over the weekend that the Evans family let UCLA know that it was going to be tough to do the unofficial visit . But, they also think it's between Alabama and UCLA and Auburn is running third (or at least they did at the end of last week prior to his Auburn official).

Do the Alabama people think he's a lock to Auburn?

ETA: One of the UCLA guys is saying he thinks he chooses between Auburn and Alabama now.

Auburn's always been in it from what I read...and since it's his home town, it makes them the heavy favorite. Leaving Auburn is a lot harder than leaving LA.

If I gave the impression that I think Auburn is out of it, then I apologize. I don't. I was only posting the information that the UCLA recruiting sites have gotten from the Southeastern analysts. And, I thought I made it clear that they are all three in it, but some think that Auburn might be trailing at the moment. I don't have any personal knowledge one way or the other as to how Evans is leaning.

To be clear, none of what I'm about to write is my own view. I don't have enough knowledge (or any knowledge) to have an opinion on him...

UCLA has been told that Rashaan wouldn't mind getting out of state. He's a big personality that is intrigued by Los Angeles. His dad, Allen Evans, attended Auburn for a year before transferring and there was some bitterness. Mr. Evans thought he was the stud RB that Auburn was going to feature...until he saw the other Frosh RB they signed during fall camp by the name of Bo Jackson. He transferred to UT-Chattanooga after a playing sparingly behind Bo Jackson.

UCLA keeps on making the cut each time Evans trims his list despite everyone saying they have no shot to land him. And, the Evans family has given UCLA an indication that they have a pretty good chance of him signing with them next week. UCLA LB coach (and future DC), Jeff Ulbrich, has developed a great relationship with the family and so has Jim Mora. His parents have told Evans they'd rather him stay close to home, but they have given him their blessing to go to any of Auburn, Alabama or UCLA.

That being said, from a general feeling point of view, I would be pretty surprised if UCLA pulled the #1 LB (depending on the site) and a top 10 overall recruit out of Auburn, Alabama, when his finalists are two schools who have won 4 of the last 6 national championships. Oh, and they are also the local schools.

I'm hopeful because it would be awesome, but I wouldn't predict he signs with UCLA.

I haven't been following closely either...but it would have to be a really unique kid and family situation to leave the south being from Auburn. I think most are just skeptical of the end result being different this time.

The word out here is that it is down to Auburn and UCLA.

I am also skeptical.

Damien Mama just announced he's canceled his official visit to BYU this weekend to take an official visit to UCLA. This probably gives UCLA a .001% chance to land him over Southern Cal now.

Humphrey cut the drama and committed today, via twitter (which is a nice change).

That locks up the top class for Alabama, unless they lose some big flips.

Most important recruit in the class? Man we needed a CB.

Its a huge need...keep in mind we also got Brown, who is a top 3 CB and #10 overall.

Also some are calling this OL haul the 'best ever'...doesn't mean a lot yet, but nice to hear!

Damien Mama tried to turn his official visit to an unofficial visit for Saturday only to UCLA. UCLA pulled their offer. This shows he wasn't going to UCLA anyway, and he's all sewn up to Southern Cal. He'll visit BYU this weekend.

Word out west is that Evans' dad wants him at Auburn. Parents almost always win out.

Adoree Jackson has cut his list to Florida, LSU, UCLA and Southern Cal. The experts are all picking either Florida or Southern Cal. Most of the experts out west admit that they really don't know where he's going and it wouldn't be surprising if he picks any of the four. He has one OV left and, interestingly, has not officially visited Florida, UCLA or Southern Cal. One theory is that whoever of those three gets the final OV for him is probably in the driver's seat.

JuJu Smith is leaning heavily to Southern Cal, supposedly, with Oregon and then UCLA.

Solomon Thomas is reportedly down to Stanford and UCLA. It's surprising that he hasn't committed to Stanford yet, which is giving some UCLA fans some hope. But, not this one. He's going to Stanford.

Scout's #5 WR, Michiah Quick, is down to Oklahoma, Notre Dame and UCLA. He's supposed to visit UCLA officially, but that's on the verge of being canceled. He's all, but sewn up for Oklahoma. The Sooners continue to kill it with Fresno kids.

Joe Mixon will stick with Oklahoma, barring a last minute change of heart.

UCLA still feels good about Malachi Dupre and Kenny Young.

UCLA also thinks they'll get a commitment, perhaps as early as this weekend, from Budda Baker. He's a great player, but I want him to be a Bruin due to his name more than anything else.

#1 2015 QB, Josh Rosen, is a heavy UCLA lean and they are expecting a commitment by the summer, at the latest.

Big 12 not exactly tearing it up late in the cycle. At the moment, the 7th highest ranked SEC school is still ranking above OU and Texas. Their bottom feeder schools are doing particularly poorly compared to recent history. 6 of them have 0 4/5 stars signed while every single SEC at least has 1. Not a ton of time to close that gap down.

What's been going on with the Stronghorns and their recruiting since the coaching change? Any idea how many more spots they have on top of the current 21?

Lost 4 4* to TAMU, Baylor, and TCU.

Lost 3 3* making a total of 4 3 and 4* DL recruits

Has 2 4* now visiting Mizzou, Baylor, TCU, and TAMU and expected to decommit soon.

Some 2015 losses starting to pile up, but that is expected.

He just de-offered a 2016 kid because he wanted to re-evaluate the 2016 scouting, two days later offered another 2016 kid.

So it is going as planned?

Happy my fears about FSU were wrong!

Here's what comes up on google when you google "Cam Cameron"...

Cam Cameron
Football head coach
Malcolm "Cam" Cameron is an American football coach who stalks recruits on plane rides to Los Angeles. He is the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach of the LSU Tigers football program.
LSU booked Cameron on the same plane ride to Los Angeles as Malachi Dupre (and his brother), Kenny Young (and his parents), and Davon Godchaux from New Orleans for their official visits to UCLA yesterday. He also was supposedly booked in seats right next to the recruits.

Very happy to see USC in the hunt for 3 top recruits. Hoping Sark does a good job of righting the ship.

I wont say rebuilding be cause there is already a lot of talent there. Just need those scholarships back so we can build depth.

Just spoke with Alan Evans the father of 5-star OLB, Rashaan Evans and here's the latest- Gus Malzahn will be in to see Rashaan at 3 PM today with Kirby Smart coming in later. He adds that Rashaan will announce at Auburn High School with only media close family/friends being present- no students.

So if Uhaul/Moving truck shows up at Alan Evans house on the day before signing day then you know it is Alabama?

Certainly looks like it - should be in good shape on the front 7 with some real quick guys that can get after the QB

Tennessee with a 4 star rb added in the last week (derrell scott iirc). Hurd, Malone, and this guy to go with Marquez north should help a lot.
