***Official*** NFL Draft Thread 2005 (1 Viewer)

I agree Clayton not being picked before Matt Jones was quite a reach. Ozzie must have been estatic to have Clayton fall to Baltimore. Looks like Mason, Clayton and the big guy Moore to go with Heap, could have Boller the weapons he needs to open up the passing game to go with Jamal Lewis. How can a team draft a "measurables" guy who never played the position over a guy who showed he can play WR already... oh well... where is Eric Crouch nowadays?

Obviously, the Ravens have decided they have no hope of containing the awesome duo of Winslow/Edwards. So they just took a WR in hopes that they can outscore us. ;)

Oakland's got to be thinking Washington needs a QB and a CB with the loss of Smoot. GB might want to go QB of the future (although I think it's silly) and definitely needs a CB with Muhammad, Mike Williams and Troy Williamson coming into the division -- and oh yeah, they couldn't cover anyone last year either.

The question is do they jump for Rodgers or Fabian Washington....and I'd guess Rodgers. Al just couldn't pass up the chance for the local guy. Moss and Rodgers and Lamont Jordan make for an interesting off-season.
 NOW where does Rodgers go?

This thread is going to get destroyed with the racism crap if it's not stopped now. Can you take it to another thread please?

You think they can? We have two very different definitions of racism then. If 100% of people(white, black, yellow, orange) believe something, it cannot be considered discriminatory, because it is accepted as an absolute.
go back to the days of slavery or to South America during apartheid, and you'll find two societies(sp?) that were very racist.

Rodgers could be in GB now... though I bet GB is thinking, hmm... we were going Frye or Campbell... but now Rodgers is still here... holy snickies...

Sensitive much?
No, I'm not sensitve. This is a draft thread, not a racism/society thread. I could discuss both issues, but have no interest in anything but the draft right now.

If GB drafts Favre, that basically forces Favre to retire after this year---which they won't do.And with Sherman on such a hot seat, no way does he throw away his only chance to make a big improvement on the team. And Favre is going to play two more years to break Marino's passing TD record.

Did anyone else think for sure that it was Rodgers based on Tags' smirk before the pick?
There's an interesting angle on the draft. We need some expert poker players in here to try to read Tag's facial expressions as he announces each pick.

How does it force Favre to retire? I think Favre is in a position with this team as to where they will let him call that shot.

And it's draft talk. Apparently some super-athletic white guy named Matt Jones got drafted in the first round as a wid receiver.

Ill just let it die here...I think you are incredibly wrong, from a philosophical POV. But Jcab is right, its draft day.

He meant Frye. :lmao: :Rodgersfreefallcontinues:

Could Sherman be on the phone with Farve asking what he would think if they took Rodgers? He means so much to the franchise I could imagine this happening now.

Green Bay already has enough overrated QBs.

Watch Belichick grab Rodgers and gets ready to cut Brady to save cap room. :lmao: And then they keep winning super bowls.

If Rodgers falls to the Skins and they pass on him as well, I swear I just might not be a fan anymore.
I thought you already renounced the Redskins and became a Ravens fan.
he left the door half open. they are still his 2nd favorite team, but he's prepared to drop them completely if they don't draft who he wants them to.GB diehard fans.
