***Official*** NFL Draft Thread 2005 (2 Viewers)

Not sure if Buffalo and Denver really need a CB. Are Lenny Walls and Terrence McGee good enough number twos?If not, and the Jets get Miller, that would be nice.

I don't think CB is a big need for the Bills unless they think they won't be able to lock up Clements to a long term deal. They have Troy Vincent on the roster still and solid depth.McGee is fine as a CB2, and the Bills are set with kick returners.

I'm thinking OT Adam Terry, or DT Anttaj Hawthorne here.

Roscoe Parrish = bad pick for TD. There was good value on the board at other positions. How many WRs does a team with a ball control offense really need?

This effectively end Josh Reed's career with the Bills?

I don't know. They really wanted him to fill the #3 WR role this year, and I assume he will. But, he'll have some competition now.Parrish suffered from playing with Brock Berlin at QB. He's definitely talented, but I don't think he's a great fit unless Mularkey wants to run 3WR sets much more frequently.

So the Jets turned a late first round pick and a late second round pick into...Doug Jolley, Mike Nugent and Justin Miller.I'm pretty happy with that. That filled three of the four needs on the team, with RT the only one left. Miller's return game will help to erase the loss of Moss too.Good draft. :banned:

yeah, that seems solid. I might have preferred Heath Miller and Nugent/Miller, but they did a great job of filling multiple needs. Jolley might come around for them.

Miller time!!!!
Great thing I just noticed about Justin Miller--he was born in 1984, just turned 21. Carlos Rogers for example, is a full three years older. I think that might explain some of his maturity/inconsistency red flags, and it shows how high his upside really is. He played well at Clemson as a true freshman at 18. Under Herm Edwards and Donnie Henderson's guidance, I think Miller will be just fine.Miller + Nugent + Jolley = Bradway gets a pretty darn good grade.

I'm gonna have to get on the Packers here. I'm not sure how Packers fans can be excited for 2005.To recap, they've lost:G WahleG RiveraFS SharperDE KampmanDB JueThey've added:T KlemmG O'DweyerCB Franz (from Washington)QB RodgersCB Nick Collins from Bethune CookmanWR Terrence MurphyThis is a team with a SB calibre offense last year, that appeared to have gotten a little worse in the off-season. Their defense was horrible, and they've done nothing to improve it. I'm just not sure what the Packers fans have to get excited for, especially when the Vikings added a ton of talent, and the Lions and Bears added some college studs.

Baltimore just traded w/ NE for the last pick in the 2nd. Not sure of terms.Who might they go after? Is OT Terry still out there? Or maybe a DT - was patterson taken yet?Edit to add: Adam Terry. :thumbup:Edit to also add: Forgot about patterson at end of first.
