***Official OHIO STATE-MICHIGAN Thread*** (3 Viewers)

Because OSU lost to a couple SEC teams with a coach so conservative he made Marty Schottenheimer look like David Lee Roth more than a half decade ago they don't deserve to be in contention at all. Makes sense or maybe you're a real dumb ### if you think like that.

Buckeye fans, I am sincerely sorry to hear about the OSU player who has passed, simply tragic. On a much less important note tough break on the injury. Always a good win when you beat Michigan but this is a tough week.

Hopefully from the Michigan perspective Hoke is gone and someone comes in that can rebuild this mess and make this rivalry great again. It is the greatest rivalry in college football and it deserves two qualilty teams playing, not one quality team and a heap of steaming dung.

Seemed to work out pretty well, but man this time last year I was absolutely devastated. I'd forgotten what a kick to the nuts it was losing JT in The Game.

Should be a pretty good game. Ohio State is too fast for Michigan IMO but if Michigan sticks to their gameplan and play the physical style they want, they have a good shot. Can they run the ball on Ohio State though? If they can't I don't think they'll win. Ohio State's D is just a bit better than Indiana's.

Is there anyway Michigan's game plan ISN'T to load the box and make Barrett beat the CBs with his arm? There has to be some sort of wrinkle added with Braxton Miller too. I have a hard time believing he's been absent recently because they don't know what to do with him.

No, no there isn't.
With no one to stretch the field, the OSU passing game is lost. Load up the box and make them prove they can throw. The answer is - they can't.
I think it will be a close game.

But even if you cant hit the play you gotta try it a few times, just to pretend.

Devin Smith (I think that was his name) was as big a part of that title run last year as anyone.

Biggest problem for their passing game all year...no one to throw to.

Isn't mike Thomas a first round pick?

Is this some of that reverse psychology I've heard so much about?? :oldunsure:

I think there's like 10-15 first round picks on that team. One or two of them have to be WR right??

So much fun involved with The Game today...

Both need PSU to actually show up and beat MSU, at MSU. Tough task, and really not sure they can pull it off. But then again, I didn't think Nebraska could hang with MSU either. I thought for sure the injuries would eventually

catch up to MSU, but they stayed tough. Especially against OSU. I thought for sure that no Connor Cook = beat down. But they showed some serious grit and determination to beat OSU at OSU. Amazing...

I was laughing at some of the OSU fans after their loss to MSU. It was like the sky was falling. I guess when you have that amount of success, it really does feel like the end of the world...? But come on... yeah, you kinda screwed yourselves and a chance to repeat, but weirder things have happened, and there is still a remote chance that you squeak into the playoffs. As you showed last year, OSU, it CAN be done..

One of the wildest scenarios, and I pray it happens being a UM fan, is us somehow squeaking into the playoffs. It CAN happen, but a LOT of funky things would have to occur.

Let's do this! GO BLUE!

He's not a burner. He gets more underneath routes.

He always goes right. I realize the protection does too, but you'd think you can scheme your rush to get some good block attempts. I guess they almost got it there. Seems exploitable.

Why do announcers always say stuff like "the hold negates a big return"? It's much more typical that the hold CREATED the big return. Only rarely does the hold have nothing to do with the actual play.
