***Official Pearl Jam Thread*** (2 Viewers)

I've been to about 40 shows and I've seen one opener: Ben Harper at Randall's Island and that only because the entire stadium was GA and we wanted to get close to the stage. Tailgating at Philly shows is so much fun that I've never wanted to go inside until the last possible second. That won't change this time around. The tailgate will be legendary.

In for the 30th (at least). Missed out on Camden 1 last year (did Camden 2), so don't want to make the same mistake...Sure the details will come together as the dates get closer.

Thought this could be of interest...first time I have run across the full show.

Only 24 songs, but you get Brother and The Real Me....i'm sure the energy was good as always, but the setlist was nothig to write home about.Still wish I was there though

RATS! :banned:

Down. Love that song, was listening to it the other day - always think of Mike when I hear it.

Yellow Ledbetter. They could play it a million times, and I'd still get excited after those first few chords. Best closer, and I love it that it's their signature, and send-off. And that they don't appease the masses that would like a change. It's goodbye.

I haven't got the time to fly around the country to see these guys. I just hate that they finally realized what a good PJ town Philly is after I had already had to fly the coop. Every time I see this stuff, it's like another slap in the face. Multiple shows, great opening bands, it drives me nuts.

It was a great show! Its the 2nd time I have seen them, and both times were great, this one was a little better though. Vedder, looking very Big Lobowski'ish, was unreal! McReady was on the top of his game!Damn, what a great show! Just another reason why 19 years after the fact, they still remain as one of the best bands on the planet!

Not gonna release these festival shows I guess? :bag:

I'll keep an eye on dime but you guys usually get your hands on boots pretty quickly, at your alterna-Pits.

IN for that Halloween show - Heck yeah!

For the first four shows I saw (over the course of several tours), I never saw a show ending with Ledbetter. Most of them were RITFW, but I also saw one ending in Rearviewmirror. Once I finally saw Ledbetter, I was let down. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I really just prefer going out of the concert on a rockin' note. RITFW is a perfect ending to me.

I love YL, but in a way it is a downer for me. It's not that I'm let down like you say, although I could be taking that out of context (and I understand what you mean about going out rockin'), but it's more that I know "it's over". I've had a nice mix over the years though only seeing YL 8 times, so that's 50% for me.

This kinda pisses me off. Why wait so long to add these shows? I would have only done the 30th and 31st, but now I am faced with dropping an extra 170 bucks, or just not going to the last show and hearing that they played every song from Vitalogy in order. And heaven forbid they play a few shows in a row south of the mason dixon line. :bitter:

My perfect ending is RITFW followed by YL

RITFW is the joyous crescendo of the experience, and then YL is the soulful, bittersweet coda

Essentially distills the PJ concert experience down to its essence IMO

So, I might be able to pull off some of these Philly gigs after all. Anyone with extra(s) for Friday? I'm assuming that show is sold out...

Setlist from tonight's show at Shpeherd's Bush Empire (capacity 2000)

Main Set: Sometimes, Interstellar into Corduroy, The Fixer, All Along The Watchtower (w/ Ronnie Wood), Why Go, Dissident, Severed Hand, Given To Fly, Low Light, Even Flow (slower tempo), Present Tense, Save you, Down, Elderly Woman, Brother, Do The Evolution, Got Some1st encore: The End (Eddie acoustic), Inside Job, Save It For Later/Better Man tag, Alive2nd encore: Soldier Of Love, State Of Love And Trust, The Real Me (w/ Simon Townsend), Yellow Ledbetter
Interesting notes IMO:-Watchtower w/Ronnie Wood 4 songs into the set? Sweet-Slower Even Flow (it had gotten thrash metal fast on recent tours)-Real Me w/ Townsend the YoungerAlso looks like they are breaking out the same 3 from Backspacer (at least for this pre release part of the tour (The Fixer, Got Some, The End)

Sorry Bobcat, no extras here
I'll be stub-hubbing for a couple of these, but not Friday
Ya if I get Saturday, I'll be at Friday. No sense not doing both. With the little nugget that the Spectrum gave them more seats than usual, I'm hoping that means we all get lucky (besides TU! haha j/k g/l TU).

I'm going to all 4, for the ones I can't get a ticket from a 10C friend I'll just have to overpay slightly on stubhub. No faith in ticketmaster but I'll probably give it a shot friday.Imagine we'll be tailgating every day too
