Footsteps by request. Indifference with house lights on.

I think we already have our set better than Bonaroo.

Another silly good show tonight....this mini tour has really been a die hard fan's dream come true...

Since we usually get a healthy dose of Vitalogy in Camden/Philly, I'm gonna guess we will get the first playings this tour of STBC, Not for You, Immortality, Satan's Bed, and Last Exit on Thursday and Friday...just a guess... :) we'll see if I'm right...

I'm probably gonna be getting a new cell tomorrow, but if I don't, I'll send TF my current number and we'll finalize details for Thursday....can't f*cking wait!!!!!!

:banned: :lmao: :blackdot:

Was just looking back over the sets for Camden 2006 and realized that we were totally robbed and did not get to hear Inside Job(my fav Avocado track) at either show (my only shows of the tour)...

Must. See. Inside. Job. Live. :blackdot:

Sounds good. Zilla is picking me up fro the harrport at 12:30....not sure what time TU's train gets in, but I assume we'll put the stuff up at the hotel and head on over to the venue after we get settled

And another post...lol...all geeked up right now

Finally got my ticket for Thursday night....section 101 row B....10th row, second row behind the pit...right center orchestra on Stone's side...... :) :fro: :excited: :banned:

We're still trying to formulate a gameplan, but we'll probably leave to head down around 2ish...(bout a half hour ride)...we wanna get there when the lots open and get into the Campbell's Field lot, which is, and has been for years, the best party lot in my opinion..that will give us ample time to set up the horseshoes, beer pong table, and hibachi for grubbing... :excited: :banned:

Unbelievable set with such a furious start. The 4 bolded in a row is just awesome. Interesting to see some of what they haven't played yet this tour. Lukin/Not For You, RITFW, Blood, Once, Go, Jeremy, STBC, Last Exit. I agree with Vedder in that some of this will be played in Camden. Shows should be great.

A few things.

I hate not knowing the names to songs so I can be excited about it. Its not just PJ, I dont know the names to any songs from any bands

Anyway, more importantly, are there any resteraunts or good places to eat near Camden. I am coming from upstate NY and have never been. Is Philly too far out of the way (after hearing mention of cheesteaks).

I know a bunch of you will be going to bars and tailgating but I am straight edge and dont drink (keep the bashing to yourself) so I dont need to know about bars.

Thanks

There is pretty much NOTHING nice in Camden...It's one of the worst ghettos in America...Basically the venue is located right on the river, away from the city proper, and is it's own little world, but you don't want to spend ANY time in Camden....Philly is literally right across the Delaware river from the venue, a 10 minute ferry ride or a quick shoot over the bridge...

Highly debating the drive on Thurs. Don't think I can pull it off...but I have to investigate.

Where are you guys staying?

edit: Looks like 7 hours from Cleveland. DC is 6 hours and I know somebody going there.

We got the Westin for $100 via priceline.DO IT
I'm talking to my buddy that's going to DC at 3pm today. If he's coming back at a reasonable time on Monday I'm probably heading there. But I'm going to see if I can open up Thurs or Fri just in case that falls thru, those days off work just are not as good for me as Monday would be, and I'd have to mess with a family function on Friday night (not always a good thing).

In for Friday :pickle: :pickle: :pickle:   :bag:

TF has my contact info, so once a gameplan is set, he'll let me know. Will likely bring beverages, so hoping the other tailgaters can take care of food. Per Vedder's msg, how does one find Campbell's Field parking lot, as I am assuming that will be the location, but I am not a Philly local (know no one (hopefully)) is a Camden local:)

Here's a map to camden parking lot layout - not sure which one is Campbell's Field thoughhttp://gi270.photobucket.com/groups/jj95/2..._Camden_Lot.gif

Not sure what we can promise in the food dept - but i'm sure it'll all work out

taken from one of the msg boards:

4 shows in to the tour, they played a total of 60 different songs; 6 got played on all four shows, 4 on three of them, 16 got played twice so far and the remainder of 34 once. If we break it up by album:Ten: 8Vs.: 8Vitalogy: 4No Code: 6Yield: 5 Binaural: 4Riot Act: 4s/t: 7Lost Dogs: 7So that's some nice variety so far.
Most bands probably don't go an entire tour playing 60 different songs. The lack of Vitalogy (greatness live), which was mentioned here, is rather suprising (yet a possible good sign of things to come).

Campbell's Field is all the way at the bottom left. It may even be off that map.

In the past, I have parked off this map to the right (behind the venue). Seemed to be a good spot to make the quick exit. Guess the plan will be synchronized a bit over the next couple of days.

Since I can't get to the east coast for this tour, I had to look forward to the Who tribute performance.

Just got my tickets in the mail yesterday. So, I got that going for me.

 Just got mine too. Jealous as hell about the east coast tour but this and the vedder mini tour make up for it a bit.

Are they done at 11? If it's like Merriweather, they have to stop at 11, but you guys would know better than I. Anyway, if they're done at 11, or even if not, I could see hanging in the parking lot for a bit while the traffic clears.

Don't recall any curfews, but would be up for some post PJ hangin' depending on the time. That's where the coordinated plan of attack will help.

Here's the link to the pre-party plans for Camden set up by the Wishlist Foundation (raise funds for charity with raffles/auctions/etc..)

http://forums.pearljam.com/showthread.php?t=279240

They'll be in Lot 1 (see TF's map from an earlier post), but it may not open 'til 4. Will also have PJ tribute band playing acoustic.

From another Pit thread, here is the view from the Campbell's field (may be Lots 6 &7):

http://photos-439.ll.facebook.com/photos-l...874499_3838.jpg

From what I gleaned, further away from the venue, but less "supervision".

Maybe the Thursday folks can do some recon on these spots?

That works. FBG cornhole takes priority here. Didn't know Vedder's got a setup in place. Guess I need to read back a few pages to catch up, as I haven't been paying close attention to any logistical discussions since I was unsure I was going. As Perry Farrell so famously sang..."Three Days..."

Also the correct title of "Last Exit" at least according to an old bootleg I haveKeep in touch with Tiger Pfan, I'm going to let him be the social coordinator. I'll PM you my number as well though

yeah, i'll text whoevers # I got with the details as soon as we figure them out.

TU, as always thanks for the generous offer of the Camden2 ticket, but I'm gonna head to DC with a local buddy. He's driving, and that beats driving solo, and I have his 10c ticket (hopefully front row!).

Next tour I fully plan to cornhole with my FBG buds, even if its just one show and another trek to the east coast. And we'll have a new disc to celebrate, although this tour is kicking some major backsides!

Finally recovered from last night's show. Awesome show with lots of surprises. Got 5th row seats way off to the side on Stone's side. I was really hoping for a Who cover, but the lack of that was more than made up for by some of the other choices.

Met up with Kilgore Trout and his wife and chatted with them for awhile after the show. Very nice folks. Thanks again to KT for bringing me some beers from NC that I can't get here in GA. Much appreciated.

Excited for the rest of you guys.

Well I'd join you but I'm booked up on Sunday now. Not a fan of going to concerts at Verizon anyway. I sure wish they'd come back to Merriweather... at this point they probably never will.

Looking at the maps provided, lot 1 is closest to the venue obviously, but the lots are more tame the closer you get to the venue (at least this has been my experience)...also a much greater police presence. The Campbell's lot is $$$, although the lot was even better and a whole lot bigger before they built Campbell's....lol...2000 I think? Security in this lot is also a joke...

It doesn't look like the Campbell's lot is on that map...it is farther to the left, basically sits right next to the Ben Franklin Bridge, right next to the water....good views of Philly skyline, as shown in that pic from the Pit

It is a longer walk to the venue for the show, but also allows you to bring 2-3 roadie beers with you from the tailgate to drink on the way :goodposting: Plus walking that far is alot of fun when you are ####efaced......

I am an uber PJ geek, but you realize that your geekiness is tame in comparison to some of the people who go to those pre-concert events...its like a Star Trek convention for PJ fans...no thanks...lol..
