Hey is bottled beer OK or do we need cans? These are the kind of questions that need to be asked.. any particularities as far as the lots/tailgating/cops

If my questions seem silly remember I've lived in Maryland for 13 years, I just assume every state is severely overgoverned

TU, as always thanks for the generous offer of the Camden2 ticket, but I'm gonna head to DC with a local buddy. He's driving, and that beats driving solo, and I have his 10c ticket (hopefully front row!). Next tour I fully plan to cornhole with my FBG buds, even if its just one show and another trek to the east coast. And we'll have a new disc to celebrate, although this tour is kicking some major backsides!
Well I'd join you but I'm booked up on Sunday now. Not a fan of going to concerts at Verizon anyway. I sure wish they'd come back to Merriweather... at this point they probably never will.
Ya I hear the accoustics are terrible there...one big echo. But, these are the cards I've been dealt and I'm playing my hand. Should be a fun trip. Let me know if your plans fall thru. Anyone else hitting up DC?edit- I did hear the crowds are usually above average there.

I have no idea, but I'm guessing since technically I don;'t think we're supposed to have either, I can't imagine it makes a difference...I'm guessing it will be pouring beer into red solo cups type of tailgating...

Cans are probably better for cleanup...bottles are harder to dispose of, but since Camden is already a pile of crap, we at least try to keep everything in a trash bag and be good citizensAs long as you have it in a plastic cup, you're good to go....,."Beer, what beer?"

I've NEVER had a problem with the police there...the only time you'll see them trying to crack down is when someone opens up a whippet tank to start selling balloons, a line of 300 people forms in 2 minutes, and the cops shut it down swiftly...that's about it..... :coffee:

Uploaded some of my pics from Camden 06 (the show and views)

I've only actually been to one show at Verizon, but it was a miserable experience on every front. I would actually join you guys but I committed to do some freakin weekend work. I would have gone last time but the guy I was gonna go with bagged out. Excuses, I've got em.The one PJ show I caught in 2000 at Merriweather was excellent all around, but I was so lit I barely remember it. They do have a solid base around here.

So I was thinking about staying in Philly Sat night also and going to the Phillies game

Now I am seriously thinking about training it from Philly to DC for Sunday's show...

The Verizon Center is, i take it, public transport accessible

we're screwed for Camden...I'm calling it now...Of the Girl opener night one, Wasted Reprise--->Life Wasted night two....not gonna be a happy camper.... :wall:

Depending on how the Amtrak back to NYC runs Sun night, this might be the plan:wall:

So PJ was miserable too?VC sent me a list of 7 of the closest hotels. Should I rule any of them out before checking prices?Hotel Monaco - .1 milesRed Roof Inn - .2 milesCourtyard - .2 milesRenaissance - .3 milesHampton Inn - .3 milesGrand Hyatt - .4 milesMarriot Metro Center - .5 miles

They haven't opened with Release yet... we'll get that..
*prays for Release/Wash opener combo*Not a huge Wash guy, but it beats OTG....Not sure about getting Release since it was played at the Roo, but that would be MOST EXCELLENT......

All or None was a killer opener at the Vic, I wouldn't mind seeing that again

Main Set: Long Road, Corduroy, Severed Hand, All Night, Sweet Lew??, I Am MineAll Night becoming a staple on the tour :thumbup;
So whoever is calling in the set on the Message Pit keeps ####### up. Here's what appears to be correct:Long RoadCorduroySevered HandAll NightI am Mine

seriously wtf
I would love All Night each night, as I think it is a kick ### tune...would make a great opener if they eschew the mellow startup. Sweet Lew, on the other hand :goodposting: :goodposting: If they're breakin' out the Ament rarities, let see Other Side.Would like to see some other Lost Dogs out there. Black, Red, Yellow...Don't Gimme No Lip, and, I know I will be in the minority on this one and it is HIGHLY unlikely, but Whale Song would be cool. Would love to hear Mike do the whale sounds, then just rip.
