the Little Feat set was very well played as far as i am concerned. i don't know their music all that much, but the arrangements sounded tight. a couple abrupt endings but maybe that's how it was meant to be done.

with that said, i thought the 10/30 show had more energy and was just more entertaining than the halloween show. i think 10/30/10 will go down as an all-time top 20 phish show.

I think 10/30 is going to go down as the most overrated show of the year and I say this, liking the 10/30 show.

It was good, it was high energy but I liked Augusta, Utica and Manchester better from the weeks before.

I don't think Phish covers Zeppelin all that well, never did really like the Good Times Bad Times cover. Zepp is just one of those bands that I think is tough to cover because the originals were so good.

That being said, the medley was fine but they barely played a few of those songs, it wasn't an all out Zeppelin rip.

Thanks for posting, that was pretty good, I've heard them go through the motions on it a few times though too.

New Year's NYC Run.....I guess I'm lucky - I wound up with 4 tickets for Thursday Night and 4 tickets saturday night... All "upstairs"....Nothing for NYE Friday Night. But, hey, maybe I'll do something with the family and be the hero.. OR, maybe I can trade some other tickets for NYE? :)
Yep, you were lucky....once again I was shut out. Very bummed about it right now.
How'd ya make out? Sounds to me like tickets are floating around for the non-NYE shows....I may have 1 for Thurs.

Now that's a stellar setlist. Holy smokes.

The Meatstick was a pretty big production on New Year's Eve.

Here's a look at some of the behind the scenes and actual production

Making of NYE Meatstick
I hate missing epic phish shows. How do they come up with this stuff? Seriously does anyone know?
I know the 03-04 stunt with the marching band coming out of a mini Cooper was from a dream the designer had. The meatstick stuff has been a running joke since they tried to break the world record of the most people doing a dance at the same time back in 99.

This has to be one of their best "gags" ever. When they brought the hotdog stand onstage you pretty much knew what was next.

Got some Trey in Albany Tix this morning. Sold out pretty quickly I believe.
Gonna be in Pittsburgh for work but I leave the day of that show. Sorta bummed. That's a brand spankin' new venue too...looks kinda nuts. Indoor/Outdoor...although I'm sure they don't utilize the outdoor this time of year. You know you could have gotten tix before today, right?

Tour starts tonight.

My tour (Camden > MPP x2 > Alpharetta x2) starts in two weeks.

I'm calling Star Spangled Banner opener tonight.

looks like a rocking start to the summer. rare Tweezer opener. wish we were there.

SET ONE

Tweezer >

My Friend, My Friend

Poor Heart

Roses Are Free

Funky #####

Wolfman's Brother >

Walk Away

Stash

Solid night, nothing mind blowing, but it was tour opener.

I read somewhere that they have been practicing like old times for this tour. SHould be fun.

Highlights IMO were Stash, Kill Devil Falls and Waves. The Boogie On was interesting since they took some real chances in the end jam but it really didn't work out well.

Second set friday night looked like a snoozer. Last night's 2nd set was the exact opposite - a monster IMO.

Come all without, come all within, you'll not see nothing like the mighty Quinn :headbang:

Listening to last night's show right now. WOW.

Stretched out Halley's, Jim, Gin>Manteca>Gin, good DWD, a hysterical Makisupa and strong Bowie. If they're playing like this two shows into the tour, this could be one for the books.

Saturday night's show was sweet. The good stuff really starts with Cities and Hailey's in the first set, though I really like the playful NICU that leads into a completely funked out Cities.

I'll be listening to Sunday's closer tonight and will report back. The boys are BACK and all indications are that the gunz are blazing.
