Flawless execution with Ronda Rousey.

Why can't this quality of execution be more pervasive? I understand not every segment or storyline is equal, but Ronda is embarrassing most of the roster in terms of overall performance, including the writing for her. Is she just that much better a performer than everyone else? At this point I'd believe it.
I'd say its 50% Ronda being awesome, and 50% them booking her like she is important. Why they don't book better more often and with more people at a time is a question that has no good answer, laziness I'd guess? But yeah, Ronda is basically the best part of any show she is on. That segment Monday was Austin-esq.

Sami Zayn is out for the rest of the year with 2 torn rotator cuffs, which proves just how hard it is to carry Bobby Lashley.

Sucks for Zayn, he's long been one of my favorite guys in WWE, hopefully he heals up well.

Taiji Ishimori (The Bone Soldier) and Hiromu Takahashi tearing it up in the Best of Super Juniors final.

I’m impressed with Ishimori.

Looked at MITB results and decided to watch Rousey/Nia Jax tonight. It's pretty astounding how natural Rousey looks in there. Particularly in there with Nia Jax. Her first singles PPV match. Some of her stuff has looked rough around the edges (i.e. her stuff with Dana Brooke and her briefcase "shots" to Kurt Angle) but her matches have been nothing short of incredible for as little experience as she has.

Her real test with come in there with Alexa Bliss. If they're ever going to do a complete annihilation by Rousey over someone, it's with Alexa Bliss.

Terrible. I really started to like him after his heel turn. Hope he gets a push when he comes back.

Turn him Face with his same persona as a heel.

IMO some of it comes from her being a legit fan of wrestling growing up. She had a sense of showmanship in UFC. I will say you can have those things and still suck at wrestling. She appears to have the ability to work the crowd. If you hear the pop after she tabled Bliss, that was the loudest I'd heard a WWE crowd pop in quite a while. Get her some work on the stick and she'll do just fine.

Got around to finishing the Dusty Rhodes episode of 83 Weeks, which had a 20 minute surprise appearance by Hulk Hogan at the end. Conrad Thompson completely marked out and Eric Bischoff was acting like afterwards that he had just pulled off the greatest feat in podcast history. Hogan was pure babyface Hogan putting over Dusty in every way possible. The segment in a vacuum was really entertaining. You had Hogan talking about Dusty's influence on Hogan early before Hogan was wrestling, real talk about Hogan's opinion of Dusty in polka dots in WWE, all really great, pull back the curtain stuff.

I just can't get past Hogan and his racist comments. And it feels like between things like this "surprise" appearance and Velveteen Dream's Hogan like entrance at Takeover, this feels like a calculated feeling out by WWE to bringing him back. They need a pop for the Smackdown move next year, and Hogan as Commissioner would be an easy pop. Maybe everyone deserves a second chance, but I really haven't even heard Hogan apologize for the video in the first place.

It’s too bad Jeff Hardy isn’t on the B Team instead of Curtis Axel. The the match for the RAW titles would be older brothers vs younger brothers.

I absolutely love the B team.

And nothing gets me more pumped up for a fantastic Reigns vs Lashley matchup then a warmup match vs The Revival.

I really feel like this has been a mountain out of a molehill for Hogan. Sure he said something he shouldn't have, but it was on a tape that was made in his home, without his consent, that he won a lawsuit over.

I don't even like Hogan, but the reaction seemed way out of line. I mean, our President says worse on a seemingly hourly basis.

Yeah, this. HH - for all his political machinations within WWE - has always been a pretty harmless publically. We expect public figures to be somewhat different in private (well, at least most people do). That situation is a GOTCHA! moment. I'm guessing Hogan is smart enough not to say it in public.

He's worthy of a second chance IMO...and I've NEVER been a Hogan fan.

According to The Observer, the current plan is still for Lesnar to defend against Reigns, although that can always change. The plan before WrestleMania this past spring was to portray Lesnar as someone who is leaving the company and doesn't care about the fans. While the fans did end up booing Lesnar at WrestleMania, they didn't cheer Reigns either, which resulted in the fans turning on the match as soon as it began.

The storyline is to once again make it appear as if Lesnar is looking to leave WWE for the UFC. The difference this time is that Lesnar is planning to leave without dropping the title. With Reigns, the goal is to build sympathy with him being the only one that believes in himself, with everyone telling him to step aside because he has failed to beat Lesnar with every opportunity. It was noted that it's still not confirmed that the Lesnar's next title defense will take place at SummerSlam, and that "ultimately it will take place at the time of Vince McMahon's choosing and the result will be the result McMahon wants."
:lmao:  Still going to that well.

When is Rousey's "suspension" up?  I have tickets for the 7/16 show and she was advertised, not sure anymore.  Hopefully she's on RAW and not in a dark match after air.

Should be 7/18. Just in time to start a feud for SS. Convienent, no?

If the way she's been booked so far is any indication, she'll only have matches at PPVs. She'll be like Brock, but on TV more often.

We saw the start of that particular tact the other night with I forget who telling RR that he just can't get the job done.

Nobody outside of his marks are nibbling on this bait. He could wrestle Satan for the fate of mankind and we're still going to root for Satan.
Very true but  admittedly I love a good heel

Really enjoying the programming lately. AJ Styles and Alexa Bliss are my favorite champions. I really enjoy the Showoff Dolph Ziggler as well. The Hardy's are back. So much goodness right now.

Ziggler has been reborn on Raw with Drew as a sidekick.  Helps that he was put over by Seth Freaking Rollins.
