Rusev put on the performance of his career. AJ can get a good match out of a broom, but Rusev held up his end.

My heart tho when he yelled "RUSEV CHAMPION". Let's bring on the face turn for realzies.

Think I'd rank the top 5 matches:

AJ-Rusev, Braun-KO, Roman-Lashley, Rollins-Ziggler, Deleters-B Team

Didn't catch the preshow. This was not a great PPV.

Getting a lot of reddit hate. I didn't mind, but the extreme in extreme rules meant there were more of them. And the crowd counting down seconds was a deal move after the first time.

I had a good time, but I had expectations set to "not Summerslam." Putting Roman midshow seemed like a good move, especially since there were no stipulations to the match.

Show featured surprises (Lashley clean/B team), a giant spot (wish KO would cut that out though), and solid title matches. I didn't see Styles or Rousey, though.

reddit hate is all rabble rabble.

Rabble rabble, move Roman down the card. Rabble rabble, the IC title should be the main event of RAW. Rabble rabble, Rusev deserves a push. All three things happen, and people still aren't happy.

Imagine how disgusting it would be to grapple with Lashley? The guy is absolutely dripping with sweat.
I would imagine it would be something like trying to box out Moses Malone in his heyday.  :X

:goodposting:

Roman is in a fine place right now imo. Prefer he didn't main event over one of the Men's or Women's Championships, but then again I prefer that nothing main events over one of the Men's or Women's Championship bouts, including the IC title. I think the only exception I've made in this regard is the Ciampa-Gargano saga.

I would prefer they keep Roman's aggressive tweener role going, and explore this arrogance angle a bit more.

Show and the crowd was terrible.  I have tickets tonight and hopefully see the start to Lesnar dropping the title at Summer Slam.  I'm not expecting much.

I normally like the PPVs but this show was absolute trash. Carmella and Alexa were great as always though.

I was worn out by the time AJ Styles came on. Why do they not let him Main Event?

I wasn't blown away but I liked it more than most other viewers did.  Was totally fine with how Naka-Hardy played out given the circumstances (Ortonference notwithstanding).  Liked the Iron Man match much more than the live crowd did.  Lashley-Reigns was fine.

I'm watching the US G1 Special to cleanse myself of this PPV

Usually going to the show people like it more then when they see it on TV. Pittsburgh is a real weird crowd. Like my town Philly and Boston it has it's hardcore fans and then the families. And when they mix for these shows it's not a great atmosphere. I not expecting ECW ONS 06 crowd here but I wish we were back to at least the more so start-middle of where the ruthless Aggression era was crowd wise. Wasn't attitude era crowd but still dam good. The problem is the WWE hired a bunch of TV and movie writers and went full PG. I don't need Attitude ERA stuff here but the storylines need to be a lot better. Stop insulting people's intelligence and don't be so petty about guys/gals getting over on their own. WWE last night FINALLY MANAGED TO TURN BROCK FULL HEEL LAST NIGHT and it wasn't even because of actual storyline. People are sick not seeing the title on TV (Not that this title is any good to begin with looks wise) but you can only do so much when theres only one singles title on the show.

I want storylines I can actually believe. Made no sense for KO to Handcuff Braun when we've seen them show his power display on TV already and KO just BS around. Handcuff him the DX Chop was funny but have him start climbing the cage and Braun breakout of the handcuffs right before he reaches the top. It seemed more the BS filler was nothing more then time wasting. The Bliss/Jax match was pathetic. It was embarrassing watching these women try and hit each other. I know Alexa and Mickie are both better then that but it was cringeworthy. The Asuka/Carmella match was awful and Mella did no offense till the very end. Ellesworth is a cool dude (Met him a couple of times) but the story with him and Carmella is very played out now. Matt Hardy just needs to leave WWE I knew this was gonna happened with the Broken gimmick. The podcaster I listen too is really good friends with Matt Hardy who DM'd him some of the ideas right after he signed that he and WWE would eventually do with the Broken Gimmick. last night reviewing the show the podcaster simple said Go back to the Indies Matt because it's obvious WWE broke their promise. They obviously hate wrestling gimmicks that get over that weren't their idea in the first place and both Jeff and Matt Hardy have brilliant minds when it comes to the business. Rumor has it that a lot of these Broken Gimmick ideas came from Matt when he use to trip on Acid. The Match wasn't great. Wish Curtis was going after the IC belt like his dad and Bray and Bo would team up already. No idea why they got rid of the Wyatts. I was kind of confused with the Hardy/Nakamura match but if this is do to Jeff Being hurt I'm ok with it however doesn't make sense they have the rematch on Tues unless Jeff isn't as hurt as many thought. The Orton coming out was weird. Why not have him help Hardy up then RKO him? Seth/Ziggler was kind of disappointing. The Crowd counting down was funny and I know that probably PO'd Vince big time which is why they had the clock in the arena removed for the final minutes till the end. Missed the Pre show but heard Sanity/New Day should've been on the main card.

The most extreme thing last night was KO almost dying and that's not a good thing. Vince just loves to make a mockery of the ECW gimmick anymore. Anything to sh** on them he does. Just recently Bruce Prichard and Conrad Thompson podcast on the network got delayed from releasing Wed to that Friday because Conrad said they were doing a topic on ECW and both he and Prichard wanted to give the brand it's do but WWE wanted to sugar coat and leave things out. Both Bruce and Conrad felt that wasn't doing any favors for anyone and just looked petty.

Pittsburgh has been a decent WWE city since Bruno was the champ. However, you have to give them something to work with.

To be fair, some of those matches were absolute trash (I'm looking at you, SD Women's title). Hardy/Wyatt jerking the curtain to drop the straps was a good hot open and having Reigns-Lashley in the middle probably surprised the crowd which figured on it going last. I have to think that's VKM recognizing that Reigns would make the crowd walk out if he was on last after every title match. So, props to that, I guess.

What VKM has against the WWE title being defended as the last match of the card I have no idea. IIRC it's been over 2 years since the WWE Championship was the headline matchup of a dual-branded card. Maybe Vince hates AJ since he isn't a WWE product...who knows.

The person who booked the Asuka-Carmella match needs put in a cage with Strowman for 10 hours. That was awful and came pretty close to burying Asuka. :wall:

Yeah normally Pittsburgh is pretty good.  I guess they were tired by the time Rollins hit the stage, but the counting down minute by minute like it was the Royal Rumble mixed with doing the wave was lame.  I do enjoy how in Roman Reigns matches they hi-jack and chant Rusev Day.  At this point, I just want Lesnar gone and fine, give it to Reigns and actually turn him heel. I'm afraid we'll see face Lashley vs heel Lesnar and a potential Braun cash in.  Just let Lashley be a heel.

If ever there was a textual visualization of ADD... :lmao:

I just think those two (especially Alexa) are the hottest things in the company. I'll take two hot babes rolling around in a 2 star match over a 5-star classic any day of the week.

That Shark Cage match was hilarious! Love Alexa and Carmella's on screen characters. The Goddess and the Princess of Stanten Island. 5 Feet of Fury / Moon Walkin' Trash Talkin'.

"I beat Charlotte Flair."

I love that Bobby's win at Extreme Rules just means he gets the opportunity to wrestle Reigns again. Lolz this show.
Would love to think that this is happening for a reason i.e.; Reigns is being favored by Steph and in the process of becoming a mega-heel.

I watched the NJPW event the other night that was re-aired.  The iron match with Omega and Okada was entertaining.  The rest of it was meh.

Kenny Omega is a good performer.  I'd like to see him in a feud with AJ Styles and/or Seth Rollins.  He's sort of a cross between Van Hammer (remember him?) and Diamond Dallas Page.

I heard something earlier that Jake Strong (formerly Jack Swagger) might make an appearance this Sunday at Slammiversary.  I hope they put him in a feud with Eli Drake because I'm tired of seeing Eli Drake feud with Grado all the time.

Considering Lucha Underground and IMPACT work together, it wouldn't surprise me to see him show up there.

Jack Swagger just showed up as part of Famous B’s stable!
I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but he's also rumored to be part of this Sunday's Slammiversary with Impact Wrestling.  He's supposed to answer an open challenge from Eli Drake.

I must be one of only a few people on this forum who actually believes that Impact Wrestling is a better product than WWE.  Does anyone get Pop Network with their local cable package?  The reason I ask is because Slammiversary XVI is this Sunday.  Here's the card:

Su Yung vs. Madison Rayne (Knockouts Title Match)

LAX (Santana & Ortiz w/Konnan) vs. OGz (Homicide & Hernandez w/King) (Tag Team Title Match) (5150 Street Fight)

Tommy Dreamer vs. Eddie Edwards (House of Hardcore Match)

Allie vs. Tessa Blanchard

Rich Swann vs. Johnny Impact vs. Ishimori vs. Fenix

Matt Sydal vs. Brian Cage (X-Division Title Match)

Pentagon Jr. vs. Sami Callihan (Mask vs. Hair Match)

Austin Aries vs. Moose (World Title Match)

Is anyone besides me interested?

I get POP and occasionally watch IMPACT.  There are things I like but would not equate it to WWE, much less rate it above.

Like Aries a lot and am glad he's getting more play than he did as a 205 Live wrestler.  Don't really care for Moose and would prefer Aries have a different opponent.  Liking the looks of most of that card tho, especially the 4-way, Mask vs Hair and Tag Title match.  My stupid cable carrier has POP but not PPV and I don't think Amazon streams Impact so I'm out of luck on ordering it.

co-workers' younger brother was in the No Way Jose crew, I guess he's a local bingo hall wrestler.  I was curious what they got paid.  He was in the hamburger suit.  $600 for 3 shows and an NXT try-out.
