I must be one of only a few people on this forum who actually believes that Impact Wrestling is a better product than WWE.  Does anyone get Pop Network with their local cable package?  The reason I ask is because Slammiversary XVI is this Sunday.  Here's the card:

Su Yung vs. Madison Rayne (Knockouts Title Match)

LAX (Santana & Ortiz w/Konnan) vs. OGz (Homicide & Hernandez w/King) (Tag Team Title Match) (5150 Street Fight)

Tommy Dreamer vs. Eddie Edwards (House of Hardcore Match)

Allie vs. Tessa Blanchard

Rich Swann vs. Johnny Impact vs. Ishimori vs. Fenix

Matt Sydal vs. Brian Cage (X-Division Title Match)

Pentagon Jr. vs. Sami Callihan (Mask vs. Hair Match)

Austin Aries vs. Moose (World Title Match)

Is anyone besides me interested?
The bolded matches interest me. I'm a big fan of Pentagon Jr. (or Dark), Johnny Impact (Mundo) and Tessa Blanchard

Is this on PPV or Pop? If I have to pay for it I'm not interested.

Not anymore.

While I think they made smart business moves that they've resisted in the past (doing shows with Lucha Underground, etc...), that brand will never ever get the stench off it.  Last time thought it was actually good was around the time of Main Event Mafia. Didn't think some of the Aces and Eights stuff was too bad.

I think they have the right idea streaming shows on Twitch and getting tips for matches, etc.. Couldn't imagine spending their asking price of $40 on this card. (Or any pro wrestling show FTM)

He's returning as Bone Soldier Gimmick he's now using in Japan with Bullet Club. I haven't given them a chance again after the BS they pulled with the Hardy's and Reby's. Plus I can't stand Josh Matthews because he thinks he's some commentary god when he's not. He was ok in WWE. Plus the podcast I listen to they pulled some BS on the guy after he went out of his way to offer his help too them. TNA was great when it was The Impact Zone and Tenay and West were there now they seem like a wannabe ROH. They have some nice talent. I have pop but I'm usually busy on Thursday. If I check out the PPV Sunday it's gonna be a free stream because they aren't getting a dime from me. I would say Impact really is better. They still have a lot of BS. This Slammiversary Card though might be their best in yrs. It's a dam shame I refuse to watch them because they have a lot of talent I like but I can't stand their backstage BS they pull with people and the constant lying and not paying people. They are lucky to have the partnerships they have (Which I hoped they went back too) thanks to Double J and GFW. People can knock Jarret's issues but he's one heck of a negotiator and getting partnership deals done. Also this happens every time I watch TNA over the years. I'm told its really good and watch it's good and then does to sh** within 6 months to a year. I stop watching for another year or so to be told it's good again start watching and same deal. Last time I really watched IMPACT was during the Whole Broken Gimmick but after hearing what they did to them I stopped watching then after what they did to the podcast I support big time I pretty much refuse to generate any interest to them. I know the minute I pick it back up though with in a year it'll turn bad again. They are so inconsistent.

Also speaking of Bullet Club very interesting as I didn't see the SI article till I saw something on Youtube mentioned. After Omege/Rhoades Match A G1 USA Special the Tonga's Tama and Roa (AKA Camacho in WWE) with their Father Haku celebrated with the Young Bucks and Kenny. Only to attack them on the ramp. Scrull, Chase Owens, Takahashi and Hangman Page tried to stop the attack by now Tongan Foundation Firing Squad. Cody Rhoads gingerly came to the ring Tama handed him a chair and Cody then attacked The Tongan's. The Somoan's said they were the real BUllet club and when the y left The members of the Elite and Rhoads faction of the Rhoads/Omega fued hung it out showing unity. Tama Tonga said the real Bullet Club is in Japan with no leaders and in A presser said Bad Luck Fale the longest running active member still okayed it. And he talked to former members Finn Balor and AJ Styles along with Anderson and Gallows who Tama said apparently got the ok to kick out everyone aligned and including Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes. Omega and the Bucks contracts run till Jan 31 2019 with NJPW. Remember The Tongan's weren't involved in the decision to let Balor or AJ Go (I know it was done for contract purposes as Balor and Styles were leaving for WWE) and it's almost mentioned in the interview Tama wasn't ok With kicking AJ Out. Could this mean that Omega and the Bucks might be coming to WWE in 2019? Every time a member of Bullet Club is rumored to be going to WWE they are kicked out of the club. However reading dirty sheets over the past 2 yrs Jado and NJPW have had big plans for Tama Tonga for awhile now.

Also Roman Reigns wishes he was Tama Tonga

I love that Bobby's win at Extreme Rules just means he gets the opportunity to wrestle Reigns again. Lolz this show.
Yeah I thought whoever won the match at the PPV was the #1 contender. In all honesty Balor should've received another tile shot. He reliquineshed the Title through injury and WWE only likes to bring this up when it suits them.

I heard something earlier that Jake Strong (formerly Jack Swagger) might make an appearance this Sunday at Slammiversary.  I hope they put him in a feud with Eli Drake because I'm tired of seeing Eli Drake feud with Grado all the time.
Jack is in Lucha Underground who has a partnership with Impact now I believe. Mundo was just written off TV in tapings prior to the PPV (I'm not sure why Impact keeps taping so far in advance) but it was because he's going to be on Survivor in the Fall.

Its PPV but theres always some sort of free stream if you want to risk your laptop maybe getting a virus.

Indy star Deonna Purrazzo signs with NXT.

HHH got a good one there. She’ll be missed in RoH.
Saw that on her Twitter today. I knew she was gonna be with them at some point. No Different then the Toni Storm news. WWE really liked her but thought she needed more seasoning else where but interest on both sides was there. She'll probably end up in the Mae Young Classic which HHH announced Kaitlyn was returning as well. Hunter can't take over this company fast enough. If NXT/UK, 205 Live is any indication of how things will be run we are in for a very nice enjoyable run of actual wrestling show again.

Don't think that was them as much as losing Jarret hurt. Jeff was very friendly and big with a lot of companies especially the ones down in Mexico and is a great negotiator despite his other faults. After Jarret left they completely cut ties with all their partnerships. That and they had economic problems. They were also giving big money to former WWE talent that really wasn't worth that pay. The Hogan ERA was a complete SH** show and just reminded me of why WCW crashed. Hogan wanted all his buddies there and had them at one point. I think Bubba The Love Sponge was fired for something though. TNA"s problem is its not taken seriously, some of the behind the scenes antics are pretty petty and BS and the fact they are very inconsistent. I think ROH/NJPW together expanding into the US is a bigger competition and threat to WWE especially with the Madison Square Garden School.

Yeah dude, heel Orton rules. They really let him go out and destroy people.

You know Vince loved everything he saw out of Orton there. Awesome.
Randy: "You wanna know why I'm doing this?" *tugs on ear lobe*

Jeff: groan

Randy: "Me too. Writers might tell me at 6:55 next Tuesday."

Never got Orton as face. You know how some guys are great heel or face and some Guys are just better at being a Face but terrible as a Heel and vise Versa? Well Orton is the latter. He's a great heel but pretty bland and boring as a face.

Agreed. Remember years ago one of his first heel turns where he RKO'd Stacy Keibler? What a savage.

Well I just say that was the first time watching a full Smackdown in ages and considering I was there live, I must say I came away pretty impressed.

For me at least, Styles v Almas stole the show. Not sure how it came across on TV but man oh man they had the crowd on edge. Beautiful match.

They finally gave Becky direction and the crowd responded with adulation.

New Day still gets the crowd to pop.

Miz v DB is going to be fantastic. Miz on the mic is absolutely gold.

There were a few throw away pieces but mostly a tight two hours.

Nak/Hardy was a little heavy on rest holes but I don't think I'll remember anything other than Orton tearing at the ear gages in the end.

Also, my 4 year old nephew doing these shy Yes! Chants was worth the price of admission alone. Makes all the storyline nonsense we put up with weekly seem like nothing.

What would you rate the show? What was the dark match? Did you stay for 205 or no? I went to the Philly Show right after RR so I had to deal with the Mixed Matched Challenge BS and made the show longer. Went with a friend who isn't a fan and want to leave after the CW Tournament started and Spuds had been introduced. Fun show

ROH is in town this Friday. This will be my first time seeing these guys live, super pumped. Young Bucks and Chuckie T are on the card, that is worth my ticket.

Who's going to be available for meet and greet? If you want to meet the Bucks, get there EARLY. They had a line a mile long in Pittsburgh.

I'd give it a 7. Main event was a little slow but the first hour really clicked. Opening dark match was Usos vs Bar which the crowd ate up.

Didn't stick around for 205 Live. Definitely a combo of "beat the traffic" and "never watch it so don't know them". Felt badly about how many others made the same move. 205 shouldn't be live. It should be taped at 7 PM before smackdown and used as the crowd warmer.

The dark main event after 205 was Miz V DB. Would have liked to see that but figure it'll be a SummerSlam match anyway.

Agreed same thing happened after the MMC and SD LIVE

Sounds like some in the WWE locker room aren't buying Bollea's bullshlt. New Day and Titus Oneil spoke out today.

He's sorry that he got recorded was his message. 3 years since he got caught/banned....and THAT was he was brought in to say? Let him be in WWE HOF....whatever. There shouldn't be a WWE HOF if no Hogan. I really don't know why they would associate with him beyond that. A lot more problems that he's worth at this point. The guy just buries himself everytime he talks. All the prayers and vitamins in the world aren't going to make people forget what he said.

Basically. I think Hogan should be in the WWE HoF still but there is no need for him to be still working for WWE in any capacity. From people I talked to in the business they all say he's a piece of SH** person and if you are friends with him he's not afraid to stab you in the back and throw you under the bus to protect himself. Mark Henry did an interview a few months ago (BTW met him at Royal Rumble week in PHI and one of the nicest guys ever. Even though he's a Cowboys fan he said he was gonna root for the Eagles in SB) and he basically said Hogan would have to have a very sincere apology to even get most of the black wrestlers back on his side. The locker room with Black Wrestlers according to Henry was a 50/50 split on Hogan. Some feel he should be in the HOF again but WWE has no need for him as some on air personality or employee. Others feel like he shouldn't be in the HOF period nor around WWE at all.

Basically from reports including one from Ellesworth was that he was sorry he was caught, be careful what you say around people as you don't know if you are being recorded and some basic BS.

It's just absolutely amazing that after 3+ years THAT was the message he flew to Pittsburgh to give in front of the WWE Locker Room SMH. It's almost unbelievable.Frankly, the WWE should be embarrassed they even brought him in. Did far more damage than good. He's proven after 3+ years that he's learned NOTHING from it.

He got a nice big settlement. Time to ride off in the sunset. I'd be stunned at this point if we ever saw him again on any WWE event. His words are meaningless at this point IMO.

People will forgive even if never will forget. You've just got to show you've learned something from it. Obviously Terry Bollea hasn't.

I commend New Day and Titus Oneil for speaking up.

Is any of this surprising at all to any of us who've followed wrestling for more than 10 minutes? I mean, he has a LONG history of playing backstage politics in the WWF (WM9, anyone?) and it was real bad in WCW when they gave him a creative control clause in his contract.

Scripture has a verse that says, essentially, that whatever is in your heart comes out through your mouth. Nothing I've ever seen from the man indicates that he was anywhere close to the 80s version of his character. He was an actor playing a part.

I got a voice mail from a coworker that was extremely long just now. I started doing the Stone Cold WHAT? as it was playing. My boss eventually told me to cut it out. :lmao:

Gotta troll the boss...especially after he bought me Starbucks.

I do the WHAT to my one co worker constantly. SHe's older then me but she looks like because of her size should be in Middle School early HS. She constantly complains about everything and I realized overtime she starts to complain and I do that to her she stops.

Wow Impact had a conference call and Tommy Dreamer was on and said WWE offered him ALOT OF MONEY TO CLOSE HOUSE OF HARDCORE. No idea if it was can he close it if he Signed with WWE or if it was just a Hey can you close house of hardcore I don't know.

Also Steph is suppose to be on RAW next week to announce something big. Many think it's the rumored WWE Women's PPV and Former Diva Kelly Kelly is apparently coming back. Podcast I listen too said WWE has been kicking the tires on a possible all Women's show and could see her maybe being the GM of it or something. Another possible scenario is Steph is gonna announce a tournament for the Women's Tag Titles a rumor that has floated around since before Wrestlemania. Either one is good. I think All the Women need to be on one brand or have their own show at this point. Just seemed with the Championship titles there was only like 5 women fighting for it The Tag Titles make sense given the amount of tag matches they put the women in too and possible could lead credence to Kurt Angle mentioning in a segment with Bailey on Monday night that her and Sasha NEED TO GET ALONG OR ONE OF THEM WILL BE TRADED. That comment only makes sense if some sort of title is getting introduced like Tag Titles.

WWE has announced four more Mae Young Classic competitors - Mia Yim, Killer Kelly, Crystal and Mercedes Martinez.

WWE now has 15 competitors confirmed for the tournament, which tapes in early August to air later this summer on the WWE Network. The confirmed names are Yim, Kelly, Crystal, Martinez, Kavita Devi, Kaitlyn, Io Shirai, Rhea Ripley, Kacy Catanzaro, Nicole Matthews, Jinny, Tegan Nox, Deonna Purrazzo, Jessie Elaban and Reina Gonzalez. Vernice Gabriel has been reported but not confirmed by WWE. The 2017 tournament featured 32 competitors.

However now since that announcement Crystal has been removed from it.

People blame Bischoff for the fall of WCW as well as Ted Turner who stopped pumping money into the promotion but Hogan and his group were just as big of a reason. Hogan politicked  for the company to sign all his buddies to huge guaranteed deals and have bigger roles then they really should have. Then he would get people fired if he didn't like the way you walked into the arena that night.

I’d treat this lightly, but reports indicate Ring of Honor is looking at CM Punk  to headline their upcoming MSG show.

To my mind, it’s a nice thing to imagine happening, but for now I’m not going to invest a lot of interest in it.
them wanting him and him wanting to go are two different things. It's like the say put hope in one hand and sh** in the other and see which one you have a handful first. I thought I heard something from someone I know that was friends with him from ROH said that AJ is kind of a driving factor into any decision on wrestling again. Nothing like she'd hold him back or anything but they make all their decisions together. If he came back at all it'd have to make sense for him in any company. This was like 6 months or so ago this conversation though so maybe something has changed. The person I talked too said he wouldn't rule out Punk in WWE again at some point but said I wouldn't expect it for another 2-3 yrs. He said if maybe takes more of the XFL role and Hunter takes over then maybe. Hunter seems more willing to forgive and forget past transgressions then Vince has. Hunter made the initial contacts with Bruno Sammartino and Warrior for them to eventually come back. Vince seems to take things and be petty about it. Hunter knows how to run the business today and you can't be petty about things. Yes certain situations you can say well that guy is never coming back can happen like Enzo and Big Cass Especially BC who was flat-out told when he was let go don't expect to ever comeback again.

For those with the Network, check out Table of 3 with Lita, Trish, and Alexa. It should be renamed table of 2 thanks to Miss Bliss' assets.
