Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon def Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens - what a fun return, featuring an always solid non-worker in Shane, 2 of the brightest new stars, and a healthy Daniel Bryan! I never had the privilege to enjoy the Daniel Bryan Experience. I am super ready for it.
I was reviewing a simpler time in this thread (*cough* last year *cough*) and made a startling discovery.

Speaking of Punk, he was the hottest character going at one time and seemed to be on his way straight to the HOF.  TV every week and so on and so forth.  I haven't heard a peep from him since he left.  I know he tried to get into UFC but heard that didn't go so well.  I hope he found success and is doing well but, man, he had it going on in the WWE.  Not sure what he's doing now.  Certain venues still chant his name.  It's crazy.
Punk was the type of character and had the IT FACTOR to be huge. He quit for the exact same reasons many in WWE are today. He started the trend of not bending over for WWE and The Bucks, Styles and others showed the Indies if you are good enough and want to chance it you can earn just as much If not more working the Indies plus you get all your Merch $$ and don't split it with anyone besides maybe the designer you hired. He said after leaving he wanted nothing to do with wrestling and is doing the comic Book thing now. Fans still chant his name not just because of the trends he set but to try and get under WWE's skin. A lot of what he said about WWE is very true especially the lead Dr Ahmed. I heard countless stories of mis diagnosis for former wrestlers, not telling wrestlers they were concussed, etc. The Staph infection Punk had that was mistreated by him is no surprise to many former WWE employees who wrestled there. Vince and Hunter didn't like him from day 1. Paul Heyman told Vince let me take him with me to the new ECW because no one knew what to do with this guy they really didn't want to invest in. Working his way up in ECW with his feud with Morrison for the title early ECW and with Miz helped give Punk credibility to the WWE fans at the time. The people who watched him from ROH and Indy days weren't surprised. Vince saw there was money in Punk but didn't want to push him to Stone Cold or Rock level popularity as he does't want anyone bigger than them plus Vince wanted Roman as his next guy anyway.

What's really sad about the whole Punk situation isn't he's probably never wrestling again anywhere, but what he stated in his pipe bombs about WWE is absolutely true and many of that still happens today.

Just watching the Dark Side of the Ring episodes. Watched the Montreal Screwjob one. A lot of it has went over ad nauseam but interesting still. So how does the episode end? Of course.....Cornette cutting a promo on Vince Russo :lmao:  . His obsession just isn't healthy. It's been over 20 years. If Cornette just lost that schtick, he could be useful just as a wrestling historian.

Lars Sullivan reminds me of The Swedish Angel. Smart move seperating him and Strowman, who would make Sullivan look small.

Heyman and Sullivan, hmmm?

I;ve never seen anyone do a better Randy Savage than Jake Roberts, he nails it.

So Reigns vs Orton at Smack and Rollins vs Styles on Raw, ok cool.

Time for Elias to dump the guitar bit and start being pushed as a legit title contender, he has the talent.

Way too much Baron Corbin, and The Miz.

Break up Shaemus and Cisero, it's worn out.

Do something with Big E beside this three stooges BS.

Oh hell yes, just knock the boss on his butt Roman, I really do wish they'd cool this kind of silliness, pro rasslin;or not.

Doesn't it frustrate the hell out of you trying to explain the wrestling to one of those..., but it's all fake.  They just don't get it do they?

How many pro wrestlers do you think have appeared in movies, about 50? Talking Mike Mazurki, Hard Boiled Haggarty etc etc....

So more Sasha news. I've also heard this from at least 4 different people as well

"So more news came out overnight about this situation. As of the morning of mania, boss n hug were retaining but when they got back from the access events script had changed in favor of the aussies. This got her mad and when she came to the gorilla she quit.. this is all confirmed. Also during the heated discussion with that producer, Triple h intervened and she was sent home right then and there. We’re told he was mad and didn’t wanted to deal with her “childish” behavior. She stormed out and apparently pushed Alexa Bliss hard to the black curtains that Cover the production and master control areas. Bailey intervened and separated them. Bailey also got pushed by Sasha and cursed out . Apparently Alexa has said to Sasha, “if you don’t like it just leave, there others behind you waiting for your spot so go." The scuffle apparently continued in a hotel lobby as well. who I asked who Sasha pushed and they said Bailey apparently but she was the”peacemaker” at first but became the instigator with Sasha after they left MetLife”

Ryan Satin who I can't stand did share bit more of the issues as well per tweets

Heard from a few sources now saying Sasha Banks and Bayley were laying on the floor of the locker room on Sunday, and back at the hotel in front of one of their rooms, loudly making it known they were unhappy about losing the tag titles.

This info is from four different sources I've spoken with the past day. All independent from each other and all came to me about it, not the other way around.

Satin was asked and tweeted 3 mins ago if Boss and Hug were mad in general they lost the belts or because of who they lost too. He tweets

In general. Sounds like they believe they were promised a meaningful run with the tag belts and it was cut too short.

Becky Lynch also direct tweeted Sasha "to fight her". I don't know if Becky is legit upset with her or if she's trying to get Sasha to stay. This is still a very developing story. There's a lot of stuff out there from different people right now. Some of it is fake or embellished by different sources as Sasha has made a few enemies on the main roster since coming up. It's why when the whole Jimmy Uso and Naomi having marital issues was brought up to me by someone who works there I had to check with others to confirm it as I wasn't sure if someone was trying to throw dirt on them or what. I then not only got they were having issues but believe Jimmy had cheated on Naomi very recently and that WWE was turning it into a storyline. A few weeks later they started the story of Mandy trying to get Jimmy to cheat on Naomi with  her.

Sasha has now unfollowed Vince on Twitter.
Boom right again on the underlined. The decision was made ahead of this and many WWE officials knew but both the girls were not told till that day for whatever reason according to Dave Meltzer. They were promised a meaningful title run and Sash and Bailey were also upset they'd be getting split up at the SS Shuffle.

Sasha and Bailey found out day of Mania they'd lose the Titles

Well Daniel if was nice while lasted

Daniel Bryan is on concussion protocol...

I also heard this from at least several people and a few of my buddies in the Indies have heard this rumor

"spreading around in the wwe locker room one of the talents recently reached out to a law firm and consulted on how to get out of the contract without being penalized. The lawyer told him ask for the release and then to openly discuss the issue as the company would drive away from any negative clouds around anything that would affect their value. This has proven effective for Kenta, Dillinger and Harper and Alexander Wolfe have done the same. So now everyone that is wanting to get out will go public with their release Even before wwe grants it so that they guarantee their releases. This strategy is similar to the one used in Lucha Underground that recently got every talent that sued released within 45 days."

Cliff notes version of this is any talent who wants to be released from a contract from WWE and not be penalized by WWE should ask WWE and then use Social media and other forms to publicly voice they want their release. WWE will not want anything negative out in the open so this gets their release guaranteed. The names of superstars above have effectively done this.

I was watching a YouTube video from WhatCultureWrestling, and they said that there's a possibility that The Big Show is going to be making his last television appearance this Monday night on Raw.  But, unfortunately for everyone, they're going to have him be attacked by Samoa Joe.  Well, all I've got to say it's about The Big Show hangs it up!

I agree he's been doing ambassador work for them the last few yrs since hurt his hip. Had several set backs. He wanted to get back for one more Wrestlemania and Vince wanted hm to have that moment as well for everything Big Show has given to the company.

On a side note, I saw another YouTube video from The Sports Entertainer Sheamus may have been forced into retirement after Wrestlemania due to suffering the same type of injury that ended Edge's career as well as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

He'll flop between face and heel at least twice during the show.

Not good for Daniel Bryan. It was fun while it lasted.

"Expect another Daniel Bryan retirement announcement soon...he was struggling to finish the match... his symptoms came back mid match..."

Holy crap there's some good AEW news and NXTstuff going around. Like Said found an AEW source. For those wondering SeanzView is a wrestling YouTuber who's most famous for whipping it out of his pants on live stream a few yrs ago and always has some misleading CM Punk returning this week or whatever headline

"AEW news, we can confirm that the dude that “invaded” an Indy show on a mask and performed a sloppy GTS was Punk. From a very good source, the moniker that has been promoted on BTE and everyone joked hey, that’s CM punk, well he will show up as The librarian. At first it was a joke but The Khan family got involved in negotiations for Punk being part of the promotion and they have agreed. No I’m not Shawn’s view please!!! The goal is to have him return and interfiere as the librarian on the Kenny Jericho match and then to reveal himself as such face him on All in 2 in Chicago for a potential final match."

as for WWE NXT Takeover Tampa:

"second, Wwe has decided that NXT takeover Tampa will be LIVE on Fox with the go home show for smackdown WM 36 either on Tuesday or the Friday before or even a super show Monday, that hasn’t been decided yet."

"the story about Dean Ambrose not going to AEW nor any wrestling company is 100% correct. The guy is genuinely taking a break from wrestling and has offers to go Hollywood. His contract ends this Friday so this is indeed the last one."

Confirmed with my source Punk returned last night.

"It was in fact CM Punk that ran in during the Ace Steel match."

"I can also confirm this isn't the first time Punk's dawned a mask as part of an indy show since leaving WWE."
Umm....I'm admittedly shuked over the indie scene.  Buuuutttt.....the guy who a few years ago was the hottest thing on cable tv and in all of "sports entertainment" is now The Midnight Rider of a cafeteria?  Great call going to UFC.    :loco:

Don't be surprised if Bailey gets buried on SDL. She was sent there to apparently be buried. WWE was not real forgiving with her antics as well in the whole Sasha Banks situation. Now them crying on the floor of the Hotel I don't think really happened and more of WWE sending out false rumors to smear Sasha who wants to quit but there were other things I can believe here as well. Bailey didn't go the lengths Sasha did but she has heat on her for her part in the situation. It's just a dam shame Vince punishes his talent because the talent is acting out from his F ups.

Edit I should've been a little clearer last night on this. Bailey has backstage heat and is in SOME TROUBLE for her involvement of the Sasha Banks situation that happened prior and after Wrestlemania. The plain is to bury her but if she takes the punishment well WWE could bring her back in the title picture at some point

All the money in the world isn't worth if if you hate your job and your bosses show little regard for your health.  Plus, Punk strikes me as the kind of guy who isn't a big spender, and he made great money for a few years, so I am sure he and AJ are just fine financially.

I used to one of the many "front row guys" at this venue for the years CM Punk was coming up. He was hot even back then. So this advertised and decided to pass. I am a #######. Probably would have #### my pants has I been there.
As Penguins play by play guy Mike Lange says, "SHAME ON YOU FOR SIX WEEKS!" :P

It's called being a professional. There's stuff at my job that I don't like or agree with or I'm the unfortunate person caught in the middle when management screws up. I don't throw a hissy fit over it. I continue to do my job.  If only 1/3 of what's reported is true, it's a bad look. You can't have talent doing this kind of stuff.

Besides, a year from now, she can have a redemption story that everyone will be on like a bum on a ham sandwich.

I bet Cornette would be freaking awesome to have for a grandpa.  A bit cranky, great stories... sure he might fly off the handle once or twice, but I'd take it :lmao:

Dustin vs Cody Rhodes, cool.  This all starts in Cctober?

Have never seen wrestling from Puerto Rico, I have read you better not shy away from blading, they want to see blood.  Carlos Colon their legend. Brought that up because of the up coming Dark Side which is about the death of Bruiser Brody.

"Black and Ricochet are in the process of being separated. Many backstage are happy as viewed as another thrown together tag team."
Meltzer confirms on Twitter that Aleister Black has been moved to Smackdown. By virtue of this, Andrade and Zelina Vega are coming back to the blue brand as well.

The lack of planning and continuity is hysterical.

I need to correct myself. I unwittingly married news and speculation, that's on me.

It is being reported that Andrade and Vega were requested on Smackdown Live by Fox for their Fox Deportes simulcast. As a result, they will keep the married couple of Zelina Vega and Aleister Black together, moving Black to SDL too.

Punk is not a big spender. I remember the WWE documentary that was made on the network about his rise and all and he said he's not a big spender, lives within his means and picks and choses where he spends his money.

No I actually wish with no Union more people pulled a CM Punk on Vince honestly. Just from what I heard Sasha has endeared a lot of bull#### and gum flapping from higher ups (Promised a lot of stuff nothing came about) so she got sick and tired running around the bushes and quiet. Hell Sasha losing her title here to the Iconics is no different then me doing a job my manager gives to me but then decides to give it to someone less qualified. In this case The Iconics who have it only because they are good looking.

The thing is there's no Union for her to go to report the BS. Where I could go to my Union and say hey I was promised this, this and that and not only the position I was told I was getting given to a less deserving person but one who's way less qualified and didn't jump through half the hoops I had too. See this is what happens when there's no union the company knows they can screw their employees over and #### won't happen to the company. This is why in my retail business a store like Giant is god awful to work at with no union. Given the Crap I've gone through at my job over the years I couldn't imagine what they would've gotten away with on me had I not been in one. Vince wonders why his talent is disgruntled and unhappy but it's because he's a senile old fart stuck in his ways. Business has changed and passed him by and luckily for him he's has Hunter who sees that and truest fight for the adaption.

Sasha is stuck because if she tries to quit WWE will just punish her. It's why Wresters in WWE started contacting lawyers about getting out of their contracts without being punished. WWE would just try and keep them by making them stay home till their contract is out hoping their momentum runs cold to not have success elsewhere. That's how petty Vince is.

"Black and Ricochet are in the process of being separated. Many backstage are happy as viewed as another thrown together tag team."
They were thrown in the DIY spot after Ciampa got injured. They weren't even suppose to be a tag team to begin with. Black got moved to SDL and Andrade and Zelina did as well since FOX wants more latinos on SDL to promote Fox Deportes. Black being moved with them makes sense as he's with Zelina and Andrade going back to SDL as Charlotte is there. WWE was not gonna seperate many if any of the WWE Couples

So is Sammy Zayn going to come out in every city for the next month or so and do his "ya'll can go to hell" schtick?  There is an over-abundance of talent backstage who can't get any air time and this goober comes dancing out to cheers and then turns as if it is going to be a surprise to everyone.  Good grief so boring.

And didn't Daniel Bryan already cover that angle this year?  More convincingly I would add.  What is going on over at RAW?  So bad.  Why is Zayn even a thing?
